Absolutely amazing. I was there for the first time ever last night and happened to catch an amazing show by Trippy Squad. Wow...the vibe was incredible. Can't wait to go back!

You might be surprised that this place exists, but rest assured it does … in the most delightful way. Great tiki drinks, emo and/or mid 2000s indie and scene kids grown scene adults. Why not give in to nostalgia?

When there are pop-ups for food, second to none. The owners understand what the people want and they give it to you. Great staff, very polite and always crush it even on the busiest nights. Jenna and Loafy Wednesdays is by far my favorite day to cruise in. Great crowd of mixed communities getting along under one roof.

My favorite bar in downtown St. Petersburg. Unbeatable prices, creative drink menu, ultra-friendly bartenders and a unique crowd. We got our typical drinks, but tried an "unusual" offer, a Caprese Salad Martini. Surprisingly refreshing. Come here for great live music too!

Best dive bar and local hangout spot in St. Pete hands down. Always have a blast when I'm here. Bartenders are great, and the drinks (and prices) are refreshing.

Love the bartenders, drink variety, atmosphere and location. Favorite gem of st.pete for sure! Plus they allow dogs :)

Great local spot to get a drink. If you're not local, probably go further downtown. Natives need a place to chill without goofy tourists derping in on us.

This is/and always will be my favorite place downtown. Everyone that works here are welcoming and fun even when it’s slammed. Jenna goes out of her way to make sure everyone has the best night possible.

I like it here. Sometimes they have live music (wish it were a little more often). Drinks are decent and not expensive. People are cool, both working and visiting. Just wish it wasn't so... I'm gonna say clique-ish? Usually people are in groups of 4 or more, not exactly easy to meet people if you don't know anyone? Then again, my girlfriend and I are new to the area, she has anxiety, and I gave ASD, so... But even with that, we never feel out of place or uncomfortable here (we frequent Cocktail as well, but sometimes that place is overwhelming, for example [still a fun place]).Still, gonna keep coming back to The Bends. It's been our go-to as of late.

Literally been around the world and the bends is truly a special bar the sickest indie shows you could possibly ask for very friendly strangers you have to find your night with your people(hip hop, post hardcore, Hipster and it’s everything you ask from a “Classy Dive Bar”

Ashley spent the time and effort to warm my seat without even having to ask her when it was a frigid 92 (feels like 104). She also only called me out once about not bringing her free food. Best PBR can opener and whiskey shot pourer in St. Pete. If I could give 7 stars I would.

It's a camouflage place. From the outside and even as you walk in the door you probably do not expect much. Let me tell you, this is the place to get some amazing handcrafted cocktails. Very fun atmosphere with local art on the walls. You will most likely be served a drink by the owner who, like the rest of the staff, is sweet and welcoming.

Great bar with an intimate "dive" feel. Love the decor and the back room with live Dj and dance floor makes for a great night out. Can get very busy and sometimes hard to get a drink so be aware.
