Monarcas Authentic Mexican Cuisine Bar & Grill

Being from Oklahoma and having a Mexican restaurant on every corner it was nice to finally find one here the price was great, the food tasted great, was really surprised at the size of the serving cause I couldn't finish all my food the chip salsa was great flavor, the server we had was very friendly and kept my glass of water filled.

What a find!! Some of the best Mexican food I've had, and plenty of it! I left feeling too full but very happy. We don't drink so couldn't comment on cocktails. Service was brilliant and if we ever return to St Petes we will definitely dine here again!

Service was great food was amazing. Guacamole was excellent made fresh at the table. I had the steak fajita and my wife the sea food fajita. I am a little particular about my food and i found both to be delicious. Visiting from Canada and loved eating here

Love this place! My shrimp enchiladas were of the hook! Our server Dave is awesome. We would be back very soon.... oh! Almost forgot... military discount as well... is a win win all the way.

Sign on the door said new owner, new food, it also had a new name that started with an H. It was busy, but service was fast and the food was great! Fresh chips and salsa as soon as you sit down too. The host said he was the new owner and he was very friendly, will def go back!

One of the best Mexican restaurants we have ever been across the country. My wife had carnita tacos and I had a carnita chimichanga. Both were cooked to perfection. Salsa was awesome also. Can't say enough great things about this restaurant. We both had margaritas, one frozen and one on the rocks, both were top shelf, very good.

This place is good. We had the table side guac, quest, spicy salsa, and the mixed ceviche. As a chef myself I can appreciate the flavors of all the food. Good presentation, the amount of food also is a great amount to where I don't mind spending 16 bucks for ceviche because the quality and quantity. We will def come back.

My experience here was amazing. The food is so good and the margaritas where the best I had so far.I had the burger with egg on top oh my cookies it was so amazing my sister had the tamale plate it was beyond my expectations. My brother in law had the carnitas chimichanga and everything was above expectations. Next time your visiting St Petersburg beach visit, Monarcas💕💕💕

I visited this location during my trip to st pete beach. Monarcas appeared unique in that it provided free chips and salsa which most other Mexican options in the area don't do. The food portions were large and delicious. I would definitely come back.

Fantastic fajitas, staff were very friendly, owner made us feel at home. Would definitely go back next time I’m in town. They have Gluten Free items listed on their menu which was very helpful.

i went with my wife last night and had an amazing experience. Cozy place and excellent food. The service was fantastic and our server Antonio had amazing customer service and recommendations. We traveled all the way from Bradenton and it was well worth the trip! Tableside guac tasted great and all ingredients were very fresh

Just ate at Monarca's for the first time since we are vacationing at SPB and staying right across the street. Fabulous meal - one if the best taco salads we have EVER had ... honestly. I had the fajita taco salad & my husband had the super taco salad. We also loved the wait staff & the cleanliness of the restaurant. A definite restaurant to revisit when we return to the area. Great job, Monarca's!!

The outside seating looks great and the decoration looks fantastic our server Sharon she was very attentive and brought out what we asked for food came out hot and tasty i would Definitely recommend this place to more friends

One of the best Mexican restaurants I've tried in a very long time. They do it right here. Prices are good. Decor is cool. The food is amazing.

Hands down the best Mexican food I have ever eaten.

AMAZING! Even better than VIP in treasure island. If i could give you 10 stars, i would! LOVE coming here, from the chips and "to die for" queso to the shredded chicken burrito.

This is a restaurant, not a bar for the person that was snarky about the alcoholic beverage choices. That aside, the service was prompt, food was large proportions and came out hot and tasty. Not a bad place
