Dolphin Beach Resort

First time in the Tampa Bay area, and this will be very hard to beat on future visits ! We got a good rate and spent three nights here. It really is a 'resort' with activities, heated pool, cabanas on the beach, and an excellent food service.
Beautiful white sandy beach, seafood from the restaurant was exceptional, and many shops nearby for whatever you need or don't really need.
Would be my first choice for my return.

The hotel is a bit older and its age shows in places...but honestly, I love the place. The staff are amazing and you cant beat the view! The food is also pretty dang good, which surprised us. We'll be back!

PS - When we were there, they were renovating the pool. So that's something to look forward to.

My girlfriend and I spent the day over at the beach. Through some site she was able to get a day pass. We wanted to have a room and use it but not stay overnight , we just wanted to go to the beach. This was one of the very few places she was able to find that allowed such an arrangement. It's an older hotel but very clean, smelled fresh, the people were very nice and accommodating. We had lunch at one of the restaurants that was open out by the pool. It was a lovely experience. Highly recommend.

I just booked a 5 night stay starting on Saturday Feb 10, 2024 for my boyfriend and myself. We will be there for my birthday on Valentines Day! We called the resort directly on a Saturday night and spoke to Ray. I have to say he was patient, accommodating and knowledgeable. We booked a basic King room as it was affordable. We look forward to our stay. I am a AAA employee and I was happy to get my discount! I will definitely follow up with a review after our stay for my constituents that are planning a trip as well! I wanted to acknowledge Ray because he was awesome over the phone! Thank you Ray for answering all my questions!

Nice location. Big beautiful beach front. Cabana included with room. Large pool. Rooms were nice and clean. Be sure to request a balcony, they have entertainment most nights. Drinks available at the beach. Also has rentals and cruises available for purchase beachside. Family friendly. Across the street from an outlet with a Publix and restaurants. I would stay here again.

I really liked this place. The room had what we needed and the location was wonderful. It's right on the beach. There is food and drinks on site but also many great options within walking distance too. There is an additional resort fee when you book that is applied when you check in. It does give you a $15 food/drink credit per day and two drinks vouchers. Will definitely come here again.

Absolutely everything at Dolphin Beach Resort was exceptional! The location right on St. Pete Beach was perfect. The room and bathroom were impeccably clean and well-maintained. The room cleaning service, Front Desk, and all the staff were exceedingly polite and performed their duties admirably!
I had a wonderful stay here with my family, including our three kids. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. The resort was exceptionally clean, and we appreciated the amenities like the swimming pool, restaurant, ample and secure parking, and the convenient location. It was incredibly convenient to have a Publix supermarket, CVS, Starbucks, public transport and a gas station right across the street. The pricing felt just right for the premium quality experience.

My wife and I spent 2 nights here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Now it's an older location, but very functional for most with most of everything you need. The beach is beautiful! The pool was centrally located with the restaurant and bar adjacent. The location is close to just about anything you want. Finally, the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Cannot beat the location and being able to walk to two parks and complimentary park parking with room key in itself worth it. Many great restaurant choices if celebrating something special

As a last minute staycation this place was great! From checking in to checking out everyone was kind and friendly. Rita at the front desk was awesome! Great location right on the beach. The drinks and food at the pool side bar were great. The unexpected amenities were a pleasant surprise. Will definitely be coming back soon!

For the price this hotel is in a great spot on the beach right next to the public access. Had no issues with our one time stay only wish we would have brought our suits. There were some people in the pool we heard that this place has great food on site but we didn't have time to eat there with my wife's itinerary we were up and gone before being able to enjoy. We did walk the beach for an hour at night and in the morning, she collected some shells. Long and wide beach, swimming area looks great. Publix, CVS, Starbucks and Chick-fil-A are only a two or three minute walk across the street.

Best location, incredible beach, amazing pool, and the cabana was a huge bonus. Staff at the front desk, bar, and beach were outstanding. Good value for the amenities.

Loved this place SO Much more than I thought I would. Clean room with tile floors. No bad smells, sticky floors; or hair in bed. It's was nice and clean and had a beautiful feeling to the location.

Tracy was wonderful checking me in. Rooms are big and clean, comfortable, pool and beach are very close clean.. Had a very nice time here. Everyone was very nice. Great food and Music by pool and beach

I stayed here in February and my experience was wonderful. The front desk staff was very helpful, the cleaning staff was efficient, professional and helpful. Josh in the dining room was friendly and knowledgeable, helping me get around locally, and getting in to the city. The rooms are a little older and a bit tired, but clean. The location was fantastic, right on the beach. Also conveniently across the street from pharmacy, grocery store, dollar store, 3 restaurants, coffee shop, bakery and a bus stop. I ate in the pool bar, and restaurant frequently and the food was always hot and tasty.

Pretty old hotel, didn't have very high expectations at first glace. I definitely judged this book by it's cover. If you're staying here for the beach it was a perfect location with great beach amenities. 2 free alcoholic beverages at the tiki bar, free cabana cover and beach chairs, $15 food credit each day of your stay, 15% off the water sports in the front (banana boat, kayaking, parasailing, tours, etc.), and easy beach access! Hotel isn't fancy inside but was super affordable for everything they give you & you can't beat the location. Would definitely recommend!
