Cortez Cafe

Adorable cafe that is the perfect spot for breakfast! We were able to get right in. Almost every table was already full! The portions were perfect, and the food was homestyle with unique twists on classic items. I enjoyed the veggie omelet, my mom had eggs, and my sister had french toast. The prices were good and the wait staff were friendly and efficient.

Small little place with good food and friendly service. I had the banana nut waffle, hubby had the country fried steak breakfast and kids had waffles. Hubbys was by far the best. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the waffle. But it was good. Just not great. But I tasted my husbands and it was really good! Eggs were great, steak was great, and grits were great.

This is a small family owned breakfast spot. The service is friendly and fast. The food is tasty. Only complaint is that the space is tight when the restaurant is full, it’s hard to get to the counter to pay and get out of the front door if people are waiting for a table. I would eat there again. I had a bbq bacon cheeseburger with fries and it was delicious.

Small diner, big thumbs up for food! Eggs over medium, bacon, grits, whole wheat toast, veggie omelet, hash browns w/w toast. The grits were creamy and delicious, none of that instant stuff! The bacon was meaty and yummy, not overcooked and dry. The omelet was great and the eggs were cooked right. The biggest surprise was the toast. So good!

So friendly! Great food and the wait staff is fast, efficient and happy. Highly recommend

This is a great little Roadside Diner. We live on Anna Maria and frequent the cafe. We love the fast and friendly service. Atmosphere channels the old Florida vibe. Overall we always enjoy our meals here.

This is one of my favorite place. Everybody there was friendly. The service was awesome the food delicious, the price we're fair. I just love it. I fully recommended this place.

The Cortez Cafe is a great local eaterie.Portion sizes are more than adequate. Had the hungry man breakfast special. The sausage, biscuit & gravy was sooo good.The home fries could have been better seasoned as they were rather bland. Eggs were cooked to order over easy. Service was quick and friendly. Covid-19 protocols were in place and clean ups were quick but through. Will definitely eat there again.

Absolutely perfect! The service was exceptional, food was cooked perfectly to order, the portions were huge, and the staff knew most of the customers by name. Very, very clean! So glad we found this gem!

What a great place to come and have breakfast , I had a BLT club with a half orders of biscuits and gravy , my wife had an omelette and everything was excellent , especially the waitstaff

Best breakfast we ever had. It was 3 for 3, during my weeks vacation to Anna Maria Island. If u never been, then u are missing out!

awesome dining experience...have made this my dads,brother, and my friday breakfast place every friday....if you go i would definitely recommend the corned beef hash

My Uncle, Aunt and Grandpa come faithfully every morning for breakfast. My son and I visit them in the summer and we were able to come winter break. When we come we join them for breakfast and this spot not only has great food, but excellent service. The people are very welcoming and sweet. Thank you for being so good to my family. ❤

Great little place for breakfast! Good food, friendly people, cute decor. My husband and I both got 2 eggs over medium with grilled sourdough toast. Coffee was good and my cup was filled frequently. We'll be back!
