Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Winston-Salem Downtown

I am here for over a week stay on a business trip.
The greetings were genuine, everyone here has been super nice. The manager Tanya is by far the most friendly, helpful person I have ever had the pleasure to meet upon my arrival after a long long drive. It was refreshing to say the least. The room is nicer than expected but the friendly atmosphere helps make me feel less away from home. This is my first of 30+ years of travel that I am not itching to get out of the hotel/house rental and run away as fast as I can due to staff or cleanliness.
Thanks again for you hospitality.

I stayed here for the week in the Fall while traveling for work in one of their suites.
The room was clean and the staff were fabulous!
The location was in perfect proximity to walk all around downtown.

Amazing, friendly staff. The "Continental" breakfast had fresh hot options and all the offerings were elevated compared to most breakfasts available. The price was very affordable. We will definitely stay here again.

Toilet wasn't flushed upon entering but probably just cleaning supplies. Very friendly staff with a great breakfast and bar.

I loved staying at this Marriott. The day and night staff were so friendly. Very clean and i loved the comfy bed. I will definitely stay here again.

The staff were so amazing! Makayla checked us in with ease and was very knowledgeable and customer service friendly during our stay. The hotel room was ok (fairly clean, modern, the air conditioner wasn't working properly). Overall, good stay.

I simply would like to start off by saying Makayla was the sole reason I'm giving tens in any category. She was amazing, very inviting and very awesome customer service. I wish her well in the company and hope she one day is running the whole show. She knows what it means to provide fantastic customer service.

This is an outstanding place to stay while visiting Winston-Salem NC. The food and especially the breakfast is the best I've had, and the management and staff deserve recognition for the effort and personal touch they provide. Ms. Resper, is a manager who is exceptional. She went out of her way to make sure my stay exceeded expectations, inquired about my opinions, cared about my opinion, and even acted upon my opinion the very next day. She certainly personifies what every company desires from an employee or member of a management team having a customer first approach, especially in the hospitality business. Well done, Ms. Resper.

Loved our stay. My wife and I got in super late (passing through, so one night stay) and the front desk was so friendly even at 1:30 in the morning. PLUS, it's the first hotel I've been to in years where I spend money for a hotel and there is an ACTUAL breakfast served!

The rooms were very nice and clean, loved the breakfast, and the staff was excellent! Especially the morning kitchen staff! Only minor draw back the parking lot is across the street but other than that very nice place

Near to everything in the downtown area. Walkable location. Friendly professional staff. Chef had great attitude breakfast area clean food variety good. Rooms, furniture and hallway clean, no odors. I had a great experience.

Right in the middle of corporate downtown Winston Salem. Everywhere is walkable from here, Love the service and overall ambience of the hotel. They have a complimentary breakfast which is super good.

The team is very friendly, from the front desk, to housekeeping to the folks at the bar. They really made our long weekend very enjoyable. The breakfast is great, the outside fire pit is fun, the hotel is very clean and we really enjoyed our stay while we visited the Wake Forest University campus. In addition, we left an item at the hotel, Jennifer located it, and is shipping it back to us in IL! Highly recommended! Thanks again, we will be back soon.

I really enjoyed my stay here! Our room was immaculately clean, and the downtown location was great. My favorite aspect of this hotel was the employees. I did not meet an employee who was anything less than pleasant, friendly, seemingly happy, helpful, and a joy to be around. I LOVE that the employee makeup was very diverse. The breakfast was also delicious- nowhere near your typical continental breakfast. The food was hot and fresh and tasted like it came from a downtown high-end bistro. If you’re contemplating, let me reassure you, Fairfield Inn Downtown is the place to stay while in Winston Salem :)

I stayed at Fairfield Inn & Suites for two weeks for work. I cannot say enough good things about Carmen! Every evening she worked and she did it with the utmost grace and kindness to everyone. I saw her work insanely busy nights and slow nights - no matter the customers or how busy she was, her service was excellent. She made my stay a 10/10 for those two weeks and my company will now only be staying at the Fairfield Inn when going to Winston-Salem. Thank you Carmen!

I wanted to take a moment to provide positive feedback during my recent stay at this hotel. From the front desk to the maintenance, the staff are helpful, warm and friendly. I'd like to give a special acknowledgement to Omar in hospitality. He is a jewel! I will be visiting this hotel again!

I recommend this location. August 4, 2022 We just completed a 6 night stay at the The Fairfield Inn & Suites at 125 S Main st, Winston-Salem, NC. The property is nice. My stay was overall enjoyable. Breakfast is included which held a decent selection of items of which I chose Chobani Yogurts, Bananas, Oranges, Bagel and a mix of Pumpkin Seeds, Walnuts and Craisins fro. The Oatmeal area. There were other options like scones, prepared microwaveable sandwiches and boiled eggs weekdays. The weekends added Waffles you put in the Waffle iron and prepare yourself. Coffee and ice water is readily available all the time. 99% of the staff I encountered was welcoming, professional and polite excepting one person I shall not name, she literally grimaced at me whenever we spoke or was in my presence while I was speaking. The room has a mini-fridge, microwave and Television with free HBO and Showtime. Our room had two double beds. The people I had most interactions with that were great are Tanya and Tom - Front Desk, Corey - Bartender, Virginia and Theresa - Housekeeping. And of course Omar, I'm not sure what department. There is a beautiful fireplace outside. The check-in area has clearance of 12 feet and 5 inches. Free parking for guests across the street in a garage.

The staff is very efficient, all the way from manage mental to front dest to the house cleaning to the morning breakfast. Very friendly and in control. All floors I've stayed on have done a great job keeping my room and my crews very clean and smelling good. Thanks ya . Keep up the hard work and look forward to my stays in the future. A ten on my book and I have stayed in quite a few hotels by far the best. Thank you.

I want to send a big thank you to the room service staff for their honesty - they found my husband's phone charger that he accidentally left behind and to the front desk for being so kind to mail it back to us. Again, thank you!
