Beautiful hotel. Unique, rustic rooms with tall ceilings and windows. convenient location for walking into town or old Salem. I love that they have wine and cheese, and cookies and milk at night. The bartender was super friendly and had good recommendations. Breakfast in the morning was also one of the best hotel breakfast I’ve had. Rooms are a little creaky, you could hear the upstairs neighbors walking around, but that’s pretty common of an old warehouse turned Hotel and didn’t bother me. There was also a friendly hotel cat named Sally that was there to greet us when we’d come and go. I’d love to stay here again.

My wife and I really enjoyed staying at this hotel for the weekend. We love the mix of historic and all the modern amenities. The staff was top notch, served a great breakfast and was close to everything we needed. Our room was comfortable and very quiet. Plenty of parking and great outdoor space to sit and relax.

The Historic Brookstone Inn was a delightful stay. Working with Allison in sales to book a large group was effortless. This is a historic & renovated location with quite a history (check social media) that I was unaware of prior to booking - but it was a delightful surprise that only enhanced our stay.

Our players & families were pleased with staying somewhere different than our typical chain hotel. The hotel is filled with character with large rooms, wine service, cookies & milk, & a large breakfast that was complimentary.

Location is close to everything with restaurants and the Annex (and a graveyard) close by. Our players enjoyed exploring all facets of this old historic hotel and parents had plenty of room to mingle in the parlor.

I can't say enough about the staff who found a large bag we left behind filled with important goods. Sarah was reassuring when I called in the evening. Andrew made sure that everything was shipped the next day and arrived safely within a few days. Highly recommend this amazing little hotel with highly personalized service.

Great people. Great (two-level) room. Great parking. Great in-out lobby cat -- Sally. Homey atmosphere. Best ambience of any hotel I've stayed in in a long time. One-of-a-kind place. The employees should feel proud to work at a hotel like this, with fellow employees like this, with the sorts of guests who seek out a place like this. Bravo Brookstown. Thank you.

Pros: powerful AC; one free beer a day; free milk and cookies; free breakfast (pretty solid); super friendly staff; huge bathroom with tons of counter space; extremely comfortable bed and pillows.

Cons: breakfast closes at 9am on weekdays; bathroom has very harsh, bright florescent lighting; window blinds are finnicky; shower water temperature setting is ultra-sensitive and hard to find your desired tempterature.

The hotel has a good location. Very historic looking hotel. A lot of things are walking distance. The room was a pretty nice size. Unfortunately the bed was noisy. The room was very clean. They offered complimentary breakfast buffet early in the morning ,wine, and cheese at the lounge, from 5 pm to 7 pm. Also, cookies and milk from 8 pm to 9 pm.The hotel has a pretty Christmas decor.

We loved our stay at The Historic Brookstown Inn. The price was affordable, and the room was immaculate. There were so many features that we loved. As soon as we walked in, we saw the fireplace and Christmas tree. It cast a perfect homey ambiance. To add to the home feel, cookies and milk were served later that evening. Our breakfast had everything from oatmeal and yogurt to biscuits and gravy. If that wasn't enough, there is artwork for purchase by local artists hanging in the dining room. The four-poster beds were cozy and tall. My only complaint is that our water in the shower became cold pretty quick and that there was quite a bit of light that came into the room, even after the shades were drawn. These 2 things, however, would not stop me from booking a future stay.

Wonderful place to stay that's so cozy & has multiple areas that invite you to settle in and just relax. They serve cheese and wine, they serve cookies and milk, & their breakfast is simply AMAZING!! I would put that breakfast up against any of my favorite spots. The room has an industrial feel and a closet which conceals a microwave, coffee maker, mini fridge, with 2 free waters & the other side presents a closet, with all your needs concerning clothing, ironing, and more. Theirs many types of hotels one can choose but if your looking for a place that's so COZY you can forget about your problems and 100% relax here ya go. 5⭐'s all the way.

Mind boggling value here. You get a quaint, historic hotel with bed and breakfast vibes. There is a wine and cheese hour, a milk and cookie hour, free continental breakfast with delicious coffee… and Sally the cat. The resident feline friend… if you’re looking to stay in Winston Salem, this is the spot. Also, wonderful dining surrounds you and a walking trail.

The location is great and easy to get to. A coffee shop, bakery and italian restaurant are literally right across the street. The prices are super good for the rooms. Best part is they have a free cookie and milk hour from 8-9 pm. It’s delicious.

I only need one word to describe my stay
PERFECT!! The room was beautiful, the bed was amazing. I woke up and for a moment I thought I was a queen. Then I realized it was just the room. Breakfast was nice. Cookies and milk and just what I need after a long drive.

The staff were amazing! The gentleman checking us in was extremely friendly and Sara working the front desk also gave us great tips, and was wonderful! The room we had was incredible, clean, historical, wonderful comfy beds, and a pretty bathroom. Walking around the grounds and taking in the beauty and history was very lovely. They have a complimentary glass of wine and cheese plate in the early evening, with fresh baked cookies later in the evening. The breakfast was nice.

Great location, quiet and well decorated environment. especially it is a historic preservation. The nice male staff gave us a 3rd floor at the beginning, i preferred the higher one, so he found us a 4th floor one, but need to walk from the 3rd to the 4th, because the elevator only arrives at 3rd floor. we are fine with the walk, the room is HUGE!!!!!!!! and very great view of seeing the downtown buildings and hotel garden. Room is clean and beds are comfortable. Ask for this room if you don't care about one floor walk like us :) Another nice female staff came and check the shower's hot water, and told us because the building is old, the hot water needs longer, it is totally understandable. The breakfast is great too, individual packed real juice and bottle water provided. BTW there also have afternoon wine time and evening biscuit and milk time. Highly recommended!

The room was very nice, everyone is extremely accommodating, even the adorable cat. This place is definitely haunted though.
