The Alden Resort

Very enjoyable time at this resort! We stayed in a suite and it was awesome! It was really nice to have a full kitchen (super cool that it had a dishwasher as well), and good sized living area. The pool and hot tub area are very relaxing. Glad we got to catch a few sunsets while we were here!

We really enjoyed the hotel. It was right on the beach and all staff was very nice. It was nicely located in st. Pete Beach, right by shops and restaurants. The price wasn't bad per night either. The room was a little dated, but some parts were also updated, like our little kitchenette and floors in the bathroom. It was very cozy, and the view we had was great. My only complaint was our bathroom light stopped working after housekeeping was there the last night, and it was hard to see even with all other lights on. Also, The faucet on the bathtub was starting to come out from the wall. Both things didn't stop us from being able to use our bathroom properly. We had a great 3 night stay, just needed some more TLC!

Where do I even start....I’m not the type of person to leave a review really anywhere, I don’t want to be “that person” a “Karen” as some would say. But I just have to warn people before they book! When we arrived our rooms were not ready, which was fine we were a little early. They told us we would get a phone call when our rooms were ready since we were going to hang out on the beach. Amazing day on the beach area, no real problems there. We were told we couldn’t place our pop up canopy on the property, which is understandable so we moved it off the property. Well, throughout the day more and more people came and there were pop up canopy’s all over the property. Again, no big deal! We received the phone call that the rooms were ready. Keep in mind, when we booked we reserved two rooms that were joining & another room separately as well. Also, we were promised first floor rooms with the beach access. Once we got to the front office we were told only two rooms were ready and we would have to wait for the third. Ok, fine. Then here’s the real kicker, the rooms we were given were on the third floor! One of the rooms was at the far end of one hall, the other towards the middle and the third was going to be at the opposite end of that hall! So not joining, not on the first floor, and no where even near each other! The people at the front office could care less how messed up everything was, but they comped our party of 12 TWO free beverages at the bar, lmao! We get to our rooms and everything is just ew, pictures on their website look nothing like the rooms at all! Paint is missing off of cabinets, carpet is dingy, beds are rocks, the bathroom is tiny, the kitchenette is incredibly tiny, the furniture it outdated and trashy. Motel 6 probably would be better if you ask me! Don’t even get me started on the hallways, blood was on the ceiling and walls! Literally looked like a crime scene! If you’re a broke college kid and want to party and not care where you stay, this is your spot! If you are a family, do not even think about it!

The public bathroom was nasty..had to wait at least 20 minutes each time for drink at bar...They say to can't reserve the bottom floor beach side last 3 times someone has reserved and gotten... Terrible
