Portside Breakfast & Lunch

This is probably our favorite place for breakfast. We go there often. Lots of other people think the same thing as it's usually busy and you might have to wait a bit. On our last visit, I had the Loxahatchee Benny (which is poached eggs on top of sausage patties on top of homemade biscuits with sausage gravy and hollandaise. Awesome!) She had eggs over medium and corned beef hash. I recommend the grits as well. Coffee and mimosas washed everything down. One of the owners came over to check on us and we had a nice chat with him. The servers are always the same nice attentive young ladies.

Been meaning to try this place for a while! We sat at the bar. I love it when I’m asked as soon as I sit down if I want coffee— the answer is always yes. We ordered the omelet with pork belly and jerk sauce. It was amazing! Came with these breakfast potatoes that are perfectly crispy. Every single item we had was cooked to perfection. The coffee was fresh, the omelet fluffy, the bacon crispy and the entire meal came out hot! They also have la Marca splits in case you want sparkling wine or mimosas. This is a great place that serves food with high quality ingredients. The owner came out and made sure our meal was perfect. Great attention to detail. Can’t wait to go back!

Excellent breakfast taste was great presentation was good service was awesome. Kate was our server the manager came out to check on us and also on each of the tables. Of course it was that beautiful time in Florida where the temp is gorgeous we sat outside and enjoyed it thoroughly. Portside is amazing, food is delicious, great environment, friendly staff, owner really cares about patrons, what else can we ask for? Portside is the best breakfast place in West Palm Beach hands down.

Amazing!!!! Some of the best food I’ve ever tasted! The environment is very chill but the food is the true show stopper. Definitely come and try this place out for yourself. This is my new regular place for sure. The breakfast potatoes are the best I’ve ever had, crispy on the outside and super soft on the inside, and the biscuits and gravy are a must try!

Good morning! What an amazing little eatery. Inside & outside dining. Exceptional customer service, (long lost art these days (IMO). The topper, the food! Wow! I had the French toast casserole. It was amazing. Home style done professionally. I can’t remember the last time I wrote a review or had an experience at a business, where every important part of that business was exceptional. There is usually some part of it that needs a lot of work. You’d expect it from a newer business like Portside Breakfast & Lunch. Not the case here. I would say that PB & L, (Portside Breakfast & Lunch), is the total package … Customer service, Ambiance, Food, & Pricing … 5 ⭐’s on ALL accounts! Thank you for an excellent meal & experience PB & L!!

What a gem - lovely breakfast cafe with delicious quality food, great menu, lovely staff - and Frank, the owner, is awesome! Everything on the menu has been yum - we have tried a good selection and have never been disappointed. We love coming here and has since become our regular place. Highly recommend the country fried steak, shrimp and grits and the French toast casserole.

Was excited to try this new cafe/restaurant as there are not alot of breakfast/brunch places out that way......and they did NOT disappoint!!!! They hit on every level! As soon as you walk in, you are immediately greeted by a friendly hostess and a warm smile. The atmosphere is simple yet elegant. They offer inside and outdoor seating. The outdoor patio is nicely decorated and very inviting. Inside is bright and cheerful and impeccably clean as well. Their menu is small but offers a great selection of breakfast, brunch and lunch. I opted for breakfast and went with their unique French Toast casserole. Nice size portion, slightly crunchy on the outside and super soft and delicious on the inside. Great flavor, not dense at all, with a perfect light and airy texture. My husband went with the bacon cheeseburger and fries. I was impressed by the size (not every girl can say that lol)! The bacon was crispy, the burger was juicy and full of flavor. We also shared the lemon ricotta beignets which was a lovely surprise. Slight crunch on the outside and pure heaven inside with just a hint of lemon, dusted with powdered sugar and drizzled with a creamy chocolate espresso fondue. Our server was very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and made good suggestions. The owner, Franky was walking around, greeting all the customers, taking his time to make aure everyone was satisfied and it was easy to see his dedication and passion. The entire staff is friendly and helpful and all appear to work well together. I highly recommend everyone giving them a try. I hope they are around for a long time because it's not often you find restaurants these days with excellent food, terrific service, and a welcoming atmosphere. They are doing it right folks, don't miss out!!!!!

I found Portside, a new breakfast and lunch place, in West Palm Beach about nine and a half miles west of the turnpike on the south side of Okeechobee Blvd.

It is a family run restaurant. Several different members of the staff checked on me, more than once, to see if I needed anything and was happy with what I had. And they made me feel like I was part of the family.

There is a little more sophisticated twist to many of their dishes, without losing that comfort food feeling.

I had the French Toast Casserole and Lemon Ricotta Beignets. Both tasted good and I would order again .

The casserole gave lots of crispy edges to the french toast. which I liked a lot. I did poke holes in it with my knife so the syrup would soak down into the deeper layers.

Portside offered me a half order of the beignets when I was trying to decide if I should try them. The beignets had a lovely crunchy exterior with a soft and fluffy interior. But they don't travel as well as the casserole. They lost the crispiness even though they still tasted good.

As always, I brought home a dish for later which was one of their five takes on Eggs Benedict. I got the Loxahatchee Benny, because of course I had to try the sausage gravy plus a sausage patty, poached eggs and hollandaise over their house biscuits, And home fries. I was not disappointed. This will probably be my go-to after I try almost everything else on the menu.

Yes, they currently have nine varied lunch offerings and a kids menu. The french fries and sweet potato fries looks so good. I wanted to snatch some to taste as somebody's plate went by.

This was an amazing experience, from the staff to the food, We had Emily as our server she was very attentive and fast paced which is a huge plus, I ordered the chicken and waffles which let me just say was so delicious and satisfying. The amount of chicken they give you is more than worth it, it is something everyone must try! Definitely going back in the next few days

If you haven’t been to Portside you’re missing out on a great Brunch spot. Food was excellent coffee was amazing (imported from Italy) beignets were so crisp. I have to say our waitress Desiree was very knowledgeable.

Hubby & I were passing by on our way to another restaurant. We both noticed a sign that said Portside Breakfast & lunch. We turned around and it was one of the best decisions ever agreed on. The time we walked in we were welcomed & the food was uniquely prepared & delicious!

Honest to god best breakfast place I’ve eaten at in years! Food depending on foot traffic may take a little bit longer than you’re used to but the quality is out of this world! You will not regret the wait! Went there two days in a row and if it wasn’t for work I would have gone more! 10 out of 10 STRONGLY RECOMMEND!

This place knows true southern hospitality! The portions are great, and it's very clear from the quality and creativity in the kitchen that they are passionate about food! The service is excellent, from the hosts to the waitresses, everyone was attentive & helpful! We only ordered two entrees with a side and an app and still left stuffed-full and with 3 to-go boxes! Highly recommended, I live 30 mins south and it was well worth the drive, we will be back very soon!

My family and I always try and go to mom and pop restaurants to help support local businesses instead of fast food places or chain restaurants. And this is definitely a mom and pop restaurant id go back to. I heard about this restaurant from a few people and decided to go try it and loved it! Restaurant is clean, food tasted amazing, and the staff was right there when you needed something. Very family oriented for the customers and staff. Loved everything!! But you must try the chicken sandwich, ask for extra sauce.

So good! Creative yet familiar options. I had shrimp and grits, my husband had the Loxahatchee Benny. Will definitely be back!

Was in town visiting friends and was solo this morning rolling the dice looking for a non-chain place to eat...saw the reviews for this place, just as you are seeing, and decided to give it a try. It is somewhat unassuming but yet bright and cheerful, perfect for breakfast. I ordered the Classic Bennie (Eggs Benedict) and it may have been the best I ever had...each component was spot on, harmonizing to create breakfast bliss for my taste buds(a bonifide breakfast lover). The waitress, Courtney, was fantastic. She was pleasant and attentive without being overbearing. One of the owners, Phillip, also came to greet me, very nice guy. If you live around here and have never tried this place you have a gem right under your nose and if you are visiting from out of town and love breakfast definitely check this place out. All of these good reviews are accurate!

Had a wonderful birthday brunch here today. I had the lump blue crab Benedict, and my friend had the shrimp and grits Benedict. Both dishes were delicious !

I hardly leave reviews, but I have been here so many times and always leave satisfied. I only order one thing. Biscuits and Gravy. These are undoubtedly the best I have ever had. My only knock is on the prices and I would like to see bigger portion sizes.
