The Library - inspired by the George Peabody Library

This beautiful restaurant is located right by John’s Hopkins hospital, and there is some free parking behind it, but expect to pay for on street parking.

The service is impeccable- always attentive and knowledgeable. The food changes frequently, so the choices we reviewed may be gone. The drinks were ok- but the sangria needs to change. They serve it in a wine glass with a couple of ounces of sangria and ice literally overflowing the top of the glass. It is so hard to drink and it ruins the sangria. PLEASE change this policy- it isn’t working. The espresso martini and their farm to table cocktail were very nice and balanced.

For the food, the octopus appetizer was charred nicely without drying out, this is a great dish.

The burger was one of the best I have had. Fries are good as well, but the little side salad served with it is just remarkable. Was told they try to use local ingredients and the micro greens were from a local farm.

Wife had mushroom pasta and she really enjoyed it.

Highly recommended for a great meal.

Amazing place the atmosphere is awesome. I love books and food so this is the place to go. I could sit here for hours and chat and eat. The food was excellent and the service is great. The staff are friendly and helpful and the chefs dona great job on the food and plating. I wonder if they have seasonal menu changes that would be rad I would come here often. I will tell everyone I talk to.

The atmosphere was adorable and the food was incredible! Highly recommend the Cauliflower, it tasted like General Tao’s chicken. The Cobb salad and butternut squash soup were great staples. The avocado deviled eggs were delicious.

This place is great for brunch, I had the turkey club sandwich, it’s huge, it’s delicious and looks amazing too. The place is so nice you’ll feel like eating in Hogwarts. Service is a little cold but they know what they’re doing. It’s a perfect 4 stars and a half from me. Definitely will come back.

Also they have a bunch of books that just help a lot the overall aesthetic of the place, they serve real coffee cups which is something I’ve been missing everywhere I go, their sofas and chairs are amazingly comfortable. If you wanna impress a date or chill or come with a friend, it’s great.

I will randomly daydream of the smoked Gouda grits for many days to come. It’s incredible. The breakfast flatbread and Nutella French toast were also SO good. But if there is one thing you cannot go without ordering it’s the smoked Gouda grits.

If I could rate higher than 5 stars, I absolutely could. We had the best service we’ve ever received! The waiter was very kind, funny, and helpful. He also hooked us up. The food was incredible and definitely worth the prices. The music was great, and the place itself is very cute. 10/10 would recommend and we definitely will be coming back.

We decided to have brunch here and the food was delicious! I didn’t even have to add any extra seasoning to my food. Our service was excellent but I didn’t get his name and none of the servers were wearing name tags. I can tell you that he had a mini Afro and reminded me of someone from the movie SuperBad. I would definitely eat here again.

I love dining out on an off night! This Tuesday dinner for Business was as an excellent choice!

I definitely would add this to a Must Dine in Saint Pete, especially if you are at John Hopkins for any reason!

From the second I walked into the door I was taken aback by the decore! The environment and the top shelf liquor! Even the well was a brand that I had never tasted before and equally as good with my mixed drink as my normal prepared and they even had my Elderflower liquor or choice!

I enjoyed one of my signature drinks served by a different bartender! I would serve that drink with an Orchard though!

As you can see the meal was beautifully presented and it was cooked to perfection! My friend enjoyed every bite of her foreign salmon! I can’t wait to have her try some that is fresh caught! We may even catch it ourselves!

My filet was definitely black angus or some western steer. I didn’t ask it’s original but I could tell by the way it separated on the plate!

The service was on point and present at every turn but remained invisible as we talked about the day, life and family!

The moment I knew this place earned my first seal of approval was when they allowed me to autograph one of their signing books! Will that server get to keep that book or does it belong to the library?

Upscale but not stuffy. Great service with fantastic food and drink. Today we all had the hamburgers (2 patties) but in the past we have had a variety of foods that were all good. If you want to get off less expensively, they have a super happy hour on food AND drinks. These days it’s hard to find both. To top it all off, this place is clean as a whistle and that gets a lot of points with me. Atmosphere is as you expect, a library but nicer.

This was such a cool find. I loved the ambiance of being in a library. Even our chairs were the high back thrown reading chairs you see in fancy home libraries. The food was delicious. We had the poached pear, Salmon, filet, and the Brussel sprouts. Everything tasted wonderful and definitely recommend the Brussel sprouts. Would definitely come back.

Upscale restaurant with a wide variety of menu options so great for groups! Our server was knowledgeable of the menu and knew how to cater to our preferences.

It’s definitely pricey but it’s very good. We went on a rainy day with no reservation and sat at the community table. The people next to us ordered the giant French toast and could barely finish one piece. We split the eggs Benedict, truffle fries (the aioli is loaded with garlic), and another person had the buratta app. The food is very good and the space is nice and relaxing.

A book lovers dream! Absolutely loved the ambience of feeling like I’m in a library. So smart and chic with fantastic craft cocktails and food. Never have I had cauliflower so incredibly flavorful and hearty. The burrata salad was huge and oh so delicious. Cannot brag about this restaurant enough!

I’m from out of state and recently discovered the George Peabody library and fell in love! I was so ecstatic to see my vacation destination, St. Pete has a restaurant inspired by that library. Being a book lover I had to make a visit. This restaurant is absolutely gorgeous! The food was deliciously good and the truffle fries were absolutely divine. They bring your bill to you in a book which you can leave your name and a message. Such a cute idea! I highly recommend this restaurant. People were dressed in different attire from business, dressy and casual. But if you’re taking the time to visit I recommend to dress up and enjoy it! There is parking lot to the right of the building just for this restaurant.

Warm welcome upon entering for lunch. Restaurant was very busy. Service was attentive and Lavender Lemonade mocktail was amazing. Menu was pleasing to read through and you could tell all food was extremely fresh. Warm burrata was a great appetizer. Bread was warmly brushed with olive oil. Our steak sandwich and veggie sandwich on ciabatta bread were flavorful and did not need to be dipped / have additional sauce on them. We ordered the truffle fries + garlic aioli with one of our sandwiches and they were fantastic. Wish we had room for dessert. Can’t wait to visit.

Awesome little book in downtown St. Pete. It is located in the hospital area outside, but is upscale dining! Loved all the food we got. Beware, the stacked French toast is quite filling!

I met with a friend for dinner at this restaurant for the first time. Initially, I thought the experience would be mediocre offering your typical comfort food as most other restaurants do. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the chef's selections on the menu. We ordered brunch and devoured every morsel of our food. It was fresh.. it was flavorful... and the service was exceptional. Jennifer, our waitress was attentive and friendly. She made the experience much more enjoyable. If you decide to visit, please order the salmon dip as an appetizer. You will not regret it! We are looking forward to visiting again in the coming weeks.

Passing through from Tampa to St. Pete’s Beach we stopped by this wonderful spot for Saturday Brunch and we’re so glad we did. It was packed inside (always a good sign) so we ended up sitting outside which was fine with the heaters. Everything was top notch from the food to the service and coffee/lattes. Definitely try the Breakfast bread! You won’t regret it! Must stop!

The decor is so neat, and in my opinion ‘casually romantic’. This place is perfect for a date. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were actually quite big. The dinner menu has something for everyone. Service was terrific and parking was easy to find. I did heed the warnings and book a reservation for the evening being that it was a Saturday night, but it wasn’t too terribly busy. I will be returning.
