Exclusively Hybrid

After 15 years of driving my gen 2 prius the dreaded red light came on without any symptoms. After pricing my options ( Toyota -$4,500 with one year warranty ) The Green Guy's ( $ 2 K with $500 deposit and shipping ) I pulled my battery out and took it to Alex. He stopped what he was doing and swapped out the control module and sold me a reman battery with different cell design. He gave me a little education on the batteries and installation tips. I was able to reinstall it without any problem. The first tank of fuel the gas mileage was low only 43 mpg but after that the mileage went way up and is now staying in the 53- 54 mpg range which is better than it ever was. I am very happy.

@ 250 thousand miles plus my 2010 Lexus rx450h finally threw the dreaded yellow triangle accompanied by the check hybrid light and brakes and such. Went to local shop and exclusively hybrid / Alex were highly recommended - the shop said they send all their hybrid work to Alex who also services all the car dealerships in the area as well as selling new hybrid batteries, refurbished hybrid batteries and single cells all over the country.

Made the trip to Alex’s shop and he stopped what he was doing and measured my battery life and said there were a few bad cells and numerous weak cells. After some back and forth and hand wringing on my part about buying a hybrid in the first place - Alex quoted me a fair price on a refurbished hybrid battery, built me the battery and within 3 hours had installed the refurbished work. Voila

Amazing - already my mpg has increased and that elusive EV mode now works like a charm. Alex was kind and generous with his knowledge and humble to boot. He does good solid work and is honest. I count my lucky blessings my 450h gave up the battery ghost so close to his shop as he has given my favorite ride life anew. Highly recommended

We had the dreaded hybrid battery system issue appear and the dealership told us it was going to be $4,500 to fix it with only a 1-year warranty on a brand new battery. Ridiculous! They were impossible to get a hold of and just a pain all around. We brought the car home and did some research and ended up buying a battery from this company and having it shipped to us in Orlando instead.

They were incredibly helpful over the phone both before and after our purchase, answering any questions and sending us a return label as soon as we were ready to ship back the old battery. We followed a good tutorial on YouTube and were able to replace it ourselves with no issues; they gave some excellent suggestions and advice regarding an additional part, and offered to send it to us with the new battery in case we needed a new one. Then they just took the amount of that part out of our core charge return once they inspected our returned battery and confirmed that we did indeed need to replace it along with the battery itself, along with pictures and some prompt text messages.

We are so impressed and so happy with this company! It was half the price of the dealership with a 4-year warranty instead of only one, and with a little investment of time to take apart all the panels covering the battery and two of us to lift it in and swap it out, it was totally worth the effort. Thank you so much!

Alex was great, very competent and personable. He quickly worked out my start problem, which turned out to be minor. And he was kind enough to charge me just a small fee for his time and trouble. For all my Ford Fusion's needs I won't hesitate to call Exclusively Hybrid.

Great company! I had contacted them inquiring about a new 2013 Prius battery which they had in stock. The next day they were there installing it. The installer even gave me a few pointers on my vehicle since he also owns a Prius. Overall they were quick, professional, and easy to communicate with plus bottom line it was way cheaper than the dealership. 👍👍👍

My 2015 Prius is my best friend. I have been driving this car for the past 6 years and I’ve never had an issue until now. The hybrid battery replacement needed to be done, and my warranty expired. Toyota dealerships were charging me $3-4k for a new battery. And expected me to drive to them on a dead battery. Ridiculous.

Other companies were charging $2k for *reconditioned* batteries. But always trust your local businesses. They got your back unlike these major corporations. Alex was so friendly and helpful with offering the best options for me, as scared and panicked I was. Very patient and informative. Also, their blogs actually help you maintain your hybrid. That’s important because most local mechanics are not experienced with hybrid vehicles. You can tell how much thought was put into this company.

Their pricing was MUCH more reasonable. Thank you for existing, Exclusively Hybrid. You really did save me thousands of dollars. Also, thank you for not putting a ridiculously large logo plastered all over the battery. (Rolls eyes at Green Bean)

A year later… (2010 Prius Hybrid Battery Replacement)

The dreaded alert came in the fall of 2022. Toyota dealer wanted over $4000 to replace the battery. With 240k miles that was out of the question. Started calling multiple small businesses that restore used batteries and read mixed reviews by their customers. Astonishingly, not a single business picked up the phone or answered my messages.

I was reluctant when I decided to call Exclusively Hybrid because it was the cheapest and because I could only find rave reviews for that Florida business and it’s owner Alex. But he... answered... and took his time to address any concern I had. The day after I paid, he contacted me and asked why I paid $990 instead of buying just the battery pack without the control for only $890. It made sense so we did that.

The battery arrived in a broken crate but it seemed unharmed. I documented it, talked to Alex and proceeded in good faith. The replacement was fairly simple as expected thanks to watching videos online. First impression was a big surprise; the car had much more power – apparently, I didn’t notice the gradual decline in performance over the years.

Two weeks after the install the dreaded alert returned. But within a day it went away. This continued every two to three days, making it obvious that the condition that raised the alert was present only briefly each time. I filed a warranty claim. Alex refused it claiming the issue is not with the pack he sent me but with the battery controller (which I did not replace!). He suggested I buy a used control on ebay for about $150 and seemed certain that that would solve the issue. Somehow I trusted him.

But, to date, I never replaced the control. We just kept driving the car observing the alerts coming up and later clearing on their own. I have gained confidence that the pack has been performing well because the car has yet to become sluggish again. Interestingly, in the past five months we have not seen these alerts at all. Maybe we are due to more troubles in the coming cold months, but now with over 253k on the odometer and out of warranty, I know not to freak out about it – there are reasonable options.

And yes, I’m happy no one answered the phone but Alex. He knows his business and how to protect himself and that includes taking good care of his customers, genuinely wanting the best outcome for them in recognition that their satisfaction is not separate from his success.

Alex rocks! Came to my place to replace battery in Prius, on time and sweet price. Had a warranty issue a month later he corrected quickly.

Andrew helped me out by answering all my hybrid battery code questions before I even expressed wanting to buy a battery from him. Him helping me out for free over a weekend and the competitive pricing made it an easy decision, and I was able to order my battery, replace it, return it and get my deposit refunded in under 10 days.

The technicians here are second to none. They have passion for hybrids and they love their customers. I have interacted with them twice and both times they have dropped what they were doing to spend anywhere from 15 minutes to a hour helping me. Alex is the main technician and a few months ago he helped me diagnose a no start condition over the phone (I moved a few states away) which led to repairing my hybrid after it had sat off and on for 9 months. Saved me thousands of dollars over a new battery. Alex is extremely responsive, courteous, and flexible. He was able to accept the car and return the car after hours. If you have a hybrid vehicle and you need battery work done, you need to check him out. From the moment Alex answered the phone, I knew this would go well! We are in Ft Myers, but Alex made the trip to replace my husband's Prius battery so we could avoid the agony of our local Toyota Dealership where time and cost are beyond excessive. Alex knows his business!! It's very comforting to know we've found someone who can help and do it at a great price with excellent service and warranty. He is genuine and sincere. When I became aware that my 17 year-old RX400h's battery was failing, the only option my mechanic gave me was to send it back to Lexus/Toyota. All-in I was looking at a repair cost that was roughly equivalent to the value of the car and it could take up to three weeks for the entire fix. Then I found Alex in the West Palm area. When I explained the situation, he quoted me a repair cost that was a third less than what I had been quoted by my mechanic. He went out of his way to help me get the car safely to his shop, installed a rebuilt battery in 24 hours and then explained to me in detail why my battery had failed. Turns out I might have avoided the problem with some simple maintenance Lexus-Service, or my current mechanic, never even thought of telling me about or performing. Alex was meticulous with the paperwork, gave me a transferable warranty for the rebuilt battery he had installed and even showed me what he was doing to my old battery to rebuild it. I then drove the car 60 miles back to my home; by the time I arrived the average MPG had already risen to levels I hadn't seen since I drove the car off the lot 17 years ago! I'm super-satisfied!

Once again, Matias of Exclusively Hybrid efficiently and quickly helped our family with a car issue. This is - by fa - the best auto shop in Palm Beach County. Excellent service and we've been clients for ages. We highly recommend if you are looking for the best quality service, the nicest of people and fair pricing!

Without question one the best auto repair experiences I've had. I highly recommend Exclusively Hybrid for their totally professional replacement of my 2010 Prius hybrid battery. The cost savings was incredible compared with Daytona Toyota who quoted $4,030, of that quote over a $1,000 for removal and install alone and that doesn't include the tax. I discovered this establishment online after a brief search. Alex the proprietor could not be nicer. My 2013 Prius v had over 200k miles and the traction battery was failing. I had the choice of a reconditioned pack or a new one. I chose the new one and I could not be happier. The procedure was painless. I was in and out in about an hour!!!
