SHAPIRO'S Gallery - Downtown St. Petersburg

My second time to visit the gallery on vacation from Virginia the week after Christmas. Bought two made in the USA items from two different artist. Check them out!

Our favorite place to go to on Beach Drive. Bought many great pieces of art there. Staff is wonderful as well.

An excellent and accessible gallery featuring beautiful work by American artists from around the country. Their collection is extensive and well chosen with a nice range of price points for every budget. If you're looking for a unique gift or a new addition to your own home décor – or some exquisitely made handcrafted jewelry, a visit to Shapiro's Gallery is well worth the trip. I have shopped many similar galleries all over the US and would definitely put Shapiro's in my list of favorites. In addition, it's wonderful to support a true family-owned and worked small business – the mother (Sue) is a ceramic artist and her two children (Alena & Matt) both run the gallery. So the next time you're in downtown St. Pete, be sure to check them out!

This Gallery is amazing!!! They are so kind and helpful and go way above and beyond! I bought a glass blown pair of candlestick holders years ago and they helped me after one was broken, get it replaced and I live out of state. Matt especially was friendly and knowledgeable and just made my day!

Fabulous collection of unique home decor, artwork, jewelry, and other items that you are highly unlikely to find anywhere else. Everything is artistic at the very least, and many items are definitely works of art, and often with a strong leaning towards the whimsical. Very cool place to visit and browse.

Wonderful store. I love the metal outdoor items and the other art work they carry simply beautiful. I have one of their waist bands that is so great for a walk. Easily fits some cash, credit card, driver's license plus my phone. Sturdy & attractive. I have some of their metal birds on my deck & they actually attract the Carolina Wrens. They also have some lovely unique jewelry near the back of store too along within the center cases.

My husband and I were recently shopping in St Petersburg FL and had a lovely experience in Shapiro's Gallery! So many beautiful items to look at! We purchased a "K25 Baby Nuts the Cat" and have had so many delightful comments on it! Even our Black & White kitty, Nell-a-Pea, just adores it! She sits by it, and I believe she has claimed this kitty as her new friend!
Everyone that we spoke to is very helpful and friendly! If you want some unique decor for yourself, or possibly a great gift for someone special, you just have to stop at Shapiro's Gallery and pick out something to remember! Great shopping experience! 😊

So cool!! Got some cool coasters and a really nice leather bound notebook. I wanted to get a nice spoon holder too, but I forgot. I'll just have to come back :P !! They also have a bunch of cool Judaica! Tldr, lots of beautiful artwork at a variety of prices!

I just happened to open up my computer to shop for a gift at Shapiros and read the comment about the "horrible staff". I had to re-read it as I couldn't believe my eyes. Aside from the fabulous items carried by the store, the staff is what's had me coming back for so many years. They are so knowledgeable and helpful. They are there for you when you need them but not on top of you as you shop. They are courteous and can't do enough when asked. I have shopped at family owned Shapiros for two homes and for gifts galore. It's my go-to store and a great portion of that confidence and enjoyment is due to exactly that.....THE STAFF!!!

I love coming to this Gallery every time I'm in downtown to see what's new. They have a wide range of items in prices for any budget! I've bought jewelry and house decor as gifts here and the quality was excellent.

I don't typically write reviews of places but I felt compelled to do so in this situation. I was at SHAPIRO'S today and overheard two people (by the way they were talking I would assume they were owners) discussing a negative review they had just received. They seemed upset about it and then started brainstorming what could have gone wrong that caused the bad review and ways they could change it so it didn't happen again. I thought little about it, and continued my shopping. Bought several fantastic things and went on my way. When I got home I started thinking about what I overheard and came on to read the review.

While shopping today I had my hands full of little ornaments and things, one of the workers came over and asked if they could hold my items, I didn't take offense to it... instead I found it to be helpful and attentive. On top of that by the time I got up to the register to pay, they had everything wrapped up and boxed for me so there was not extra waiting time. This is a gallery filled with beautiful things that are screaming to be touched and appreciated. If your hands are full, even holding something tiny, it would be impossible to fully enjoy the gallery.

I guess what I am trying to say, to the two young owners, if you happen to see this... I appreciated that you took the time to discuss the review you received, just know you will never make everyone happy. You have a great store filled with breathtaking items. Keep doing what you are doing and don't let the negative weigh you down too much.

Lots of high end handcrafts using many media from glass wood, metal, more than I can list. Everything is beautiful, some more than others, but crafted into jewelry, decorative accessories, handbags & backpacks, ornamental garden pieces, clocks etc.. One of my favorite places in St. Petersburg. 😊

A great place. I normally hate these home décor/decorative arts places, but the stuff was so cool, so unique and so interesting. Just really unique American-made stuff at good prices, showing good taste, and with helpful, friendly staff. We love it.

So many unique and interesting pieces. The dark haired girl inside was among the most stunning, and quite helpful. Loved the whole store and will be back.

I bought some amazing bars of body soap from Shapiro's, located by the checkout counter. The smells were amazing, and I will definitely purchase more.

Always a great selection of gifts, artwork, sculptures, glass, etc. Great go-to for unique, one of a kind gifts.

I can always find something interesting and special at Shapiro's - especially when I need a gift. Super selection of unique things!!
