Amazing!! I would give 100 stars if I could. Danika is the most talented hair wizard around! She does everything from crazy colors and transformations to beautiful balayage and stunning highlights. I drive over 2 hours every 8 weeks to come see her because of the attention detail, amazing knowledge and beautiful results. She has transformed my dark brown hair with plentiful amounts of highlights and toned perfectly to create a beautiful ashy blonde that still looks good when it’s starting to grow out! She does everything with precision and perfection, and ensures that your hair is still healthy after! She is so talented at bringing your hair visions to life and never disappoints. Pictures below were after my hair had about 1.5-2 inches or dark root growth and a brassy color. By the end of my appointment my hair looked stunning and felt healthier than it did when I walked in! Incredibly welcoming and fun salon. Professional service in a casual environment. My daughter has incredibly thick hair which had many birds nest knots from over a year of no trimming, which took me 45 minutes to comb through before we even got to the salon. The before and after difference was night and day. She left the sLon with silky smooth hair in great condition. June and Megan are amazing! Courtney has been doing my hair for many years now and she is wonderful! My hair was unhealthy and short and now my hair is healthy and growing so long while still being the blonde color I love! Thank you Courtney! This is a cute little salon in downtown St. Pete and everyone is friendly and welcoming! Parking is easy…park at Publix across the street and buy some lunch to go or go grocery shopping on your way out🙌🏼

MJ took my vague idea of a cut and gloss and made it happen in the way only someone who listens and is experienced could. Her formula was on point and she offered treatments that my hair actually needed.

Bishops is super accepting and great for colorful and funky styles, but it’s also great for those of us who have boring hair and want to get care and spend their money in places that align with their values.

*I cut my hair once every year and a half or so, wearing it in a bun often in this Florida heat. I scheduled a long cut and gloss, which included a wash. MJ added a clarifying treatment to get my hair to somewhat normal, then did a K18 treatment to strengthen and rejuvenate each strand, preparing it all to absorb the custom formula of gloss she used to make my natural highlights pop and to cool down the entire look. She did a straight across cut instead of layers to keep volume, with my very fine hair.

Suzie did an amazing job on my hair!! She listened to what I wanted and worked with me to fix some issues that I had. She also came up with a fantastic design that allowed me to keep some pink but stay professional. She even cut some long layers for a beautiful effect. Thank you so much!!

They got me in with a same-day appointment, no problem, even for a long hair cut and a color. Megan was a consummate professional, and all of the ladies were helpful, friendly, and inviting. I put off getting a haircut for a year, because I was new to St. Pete and was scared, but I now know where my regular place will be.

Literally have had the most amazing colors ever - they lifted my black, Korean hair light enough to color vibrant red! They also just did the most incredibly gorgeous, multidimensional blond on my boyfriend’s, long dark hair. Seriously folks, Bishops forever.

I booked a random stylist and got Ash. She did SO amazing. My hair was long, thick, heavy and frizzy and I was sick of dealing with it. She was so nice and explained the process, recommended products and, and went step by step to teach me how to take care of my wavy hair. She cut it exactly how I wanted with layers, as requested. I usually hate dealing with my hair but because she had time we decided to diffuse it as well and I’ve never seen my hair hold its waves this well without getting frizzy. I love it!!! Got a cut and color here by Hal, and she was fantastic! She was able to match the previous color that I had from somewhere else (to hide my roots) and added a lot of dimension to my hair with highlights. The products she used on my hair smelled amazing, and the salon atmosphere and the neighborhood are also great. Definitely will be back for future treatments.

Moved to St. Pete within the last few months and was looking for a local salon, so glad I found Bishops! Hal took fantastic care of me and was able to turn my inspo pics into reality. I had a faded out red in my hair from 8 months ago with lots of roots and she transformed it into a bright peach with pink and orange tones mixed throughout. I’ve already gotten so many compliments on the color and will be going back for future appointments. Thanks so much to Hal for giving me such a fun summer color!

i don’t normally write reviews, but today i had the best experience with ash. i haven’t had my hair cut in over a year and was largely inexperienced and unsure of what exactly i was looking for in a cut and style, but ash helped guide me into deciding on a wonderful hairstyle that i feel extremely comfortable in! i will definitely come back as the services were fairly priced and the salon itself was extremely inclusive and comfortable. thank you again, ash!

Hal saved me. I had been cutting and coloring on my own for a year. She took her time and so gentle I kept nodding off. It was an experience at a salon as it should be. I did not get berated for doing what I did to my hair. Haha 😏. She was sweet and helpful and extremely courteous.

So grateful I found this shop! Extremely queer friendly, comfortable space, and you don’t feel like you’re being judged by anyone. Went in feeling really upset with the feminine haircut I already had, and Gabe did an amazing job giving me the exact cut I wanted! I feel so much better about myself now and I’ve never been so happy with a haircut in my life!
I’ve also never used wax for styling and they were super helpful and showed me how to use it and they had the product available to purchase as well, which was really nice!
Genuinely cannot recommend this place enough, absolutely will be going back! 🖤

Gabe is a gem of a human being and they have quickly become the go to person for me to send anyone to in town. They are always meticulous and I feel like even if I'm going in for a 10 minute buzz or trim they are always careful, precise and lovely. That said I've also had great experiences with everyone at Bishops. Everyone at the front has always been friendly and welcoming in an honest way and, having watched the other stylists there, I would definitely trust them with my hair as well if it came down to it.

Had an appointment here yesterday with Gabe an he did an amazing job! I’ve never been so happy with a haircut! I’ve been to many places but I’ve never felt as confident as I did with him. He gave me tips and products opinions that most places never mention. Booked another appointment for 2 weeks out absolutely recommend going here. Welcoming, chill vibes and knowledgeable.

Amazing staff and service! A very welcoming atmosphere and vibe every time I come back. Whenever I stop by to get my hair done they always make my hair feel SO nice and shiny. I've been going to this salon for almost a year now and they never cease to impress me, seriously. Gabe is absolutely the best with coloring and styling. They were very knowledgable and skillful helping me color match to get the right tones/colors I want achieved beautifully and I'm never not satisfied, and Gabe overall was extremely professional and sweet with their services and work. By the way, if you ever cruise by Central Avenue on and a bad (or even good) hair day make sure you stop by and get your hair cut, styled, colored, whatever etc don't sleep on hesitating to!

I needed a new hairdresser/barber after moving to St.Pete, so I have been bouncing around to different barber shops/salons over the next four months trying to figure out which one I liked best. I must say, I was never fully satisfied with my haircut until I met MJ at Bishops. She knew exactly what to do with my hair (which tends to be a burden for most hairdressers) and gives me useful tips for hair maintenance. As an added bonus, she is a great conversation!

The amount of love you feel in this salon is comforting with a good twist of funky. Haily cut my hair and it turned out exactly how I wanted it to look. The prices for a Central Ave business are unbelievably inexpensive and they offer many treatments there. My new hair salon!

I booked an appointment with Hailey. She was absolutely wonderful, especially considering I came in with the barest idea of what I wanted. She not only gave me a gorgeous cut, she also gave me a wonderful hair wash and conditioning. I adore the shop and all the wonderful people who work there. I will definitely be back!

Gabe does an awesome job with short hair. The shop is clean and friendly, prices are reasonable, and I'm always happy with how my cut turns out. I've been going here a few years now and have had a few stylists (depending on availability) and the outcome's always solid but Gabe is #1. Good vibes would recommend.
