The S&S Greenway

Nifty little bowshot straight trail. Didn't go far but saw a dozen different bird species 🐦

I enjoy this old Rail ❘❙𝕝X𝕝❙❘ Road bed of a trail. It keeps me in good shape for when I go 𝙊𝙛𝙛 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙡, in the mountains, National Parks, and W.M.A.'s. There is what's left of a small creek that runs down at the Statesboro end of the trail, I enjoy seeing the wildlife in that area. The trail is infested with Copper Heads, so use caution; watch where you step, and be mindful of where your pet goes sniffing around. I've met some interesting people as well, all walks of life.

Can walk up 3.5 miles in one direction. Nice walk

I only got to visit for 45 minutes, due to a storm that brought a huge downpour, but I loved seeing the Birds of prey and the amazing colorful arrangement of ducks!

Came back to town for graduation and wanted to relive what I use to do here. Walked this trail almost every day on my break from work or after classes. It is great that it pauses at the strip mall because I love walking to the bookstore, reading for an hour or two and walking back to my car. Great place for kids and dogs too!

My husband and I just moved here from Boston and Providence and bought a home in Statesboro! We adore ❤ it!

We live close to the Greenway, and it's truly wonderful to be able to walk and run it. Taking the doggos, everything is so nice about this.

We have been so happy with this area, we couldn't imagine it being any better than it already is!

Flat and fast, this paved trail is great for everyone! From children riding their first tricycles to competitive runners, this multi-purpose trail is the only one of its kind in the area. It's about 2.75miles one way for 5.5miles round trip. TIP: Park at Gentilly trailhead and follow the markers if you don't carry GPS.

Pretty cool place to walk or ride your bike. There's minimal interaction with main traffic making it safer for activities like jogging and its got a decent length for a good workout.
I really wish there were more of these around Statesboro.

I and my friends used to quail hunt in this area as children, walking from our neighborhood. I am glad to see this space well preserved and available for recreation and relaxation.

Love this walking trail. We go atleast once a week when the weather allows. Good for training for 5ks or just a casual stroll. Half is very well shaded. Sometimes people leave dog doo behind but it's becomi ng less and less of a problem. Great place to watch nature: turtles, frogs, snakes, owls and even fish and sometimes falcon or deer can be seen. Not likely to see a snake while walking during the day, but definitely be careful at night.

This is a rail-to-trail project. Rate it easy. Asphalt paved in excellent condition. Trail runs through wooded swamp, behind commercial developments, between farm fields and near residences. Suitable for walking, running and biking.

This is a very nice walking, running or biking trail that is a level and clean place to walk. It appears to be a safe area as there are always other people around. Dogs are welcome.

Clean restrooms, clean trail, very peaceful (except for the couple guys smoking weed), my family enjoyed the experience.

Very nice place to go and stretch your legs. Smooth pavement, clean and long sections with tree cover.

The path is great. I always run into wildlife and people alike. The dog owners keep it clean along with the staff.

Clean public restroom at each end of the trail. Great place for an out and back run up to 5 miles (total).

Lovely place to visit. We visited for our daily 3 mile walk. It was very clean and well kept.
