Northgate Dog Park

Amazing dog park for my furry baby to have fun and meet new friends🐕

I love this park! It's a good size with plenty of shade, chairs, picnic table and a watering station. Two sides for large and small dogs. A new park is being built just north of this one because they say that this one floods and gets muddy. I've never seen it that way myself. Either way, I've met nice people and well mannered pups.

Of course we went at one of the hottest times of the day and we were the only people out there with our dog, who had never been to a dog park before. Found out he doesn't know how to dog. He walked the perimeter smelling everything. I found a lot of tennis balls in the field and tried to get him to play and he looked at me like I was crazy and kept running security.

The field is nice, some shaded areas for us hoomans to sit, a sand box for the diggers, water spigot for the fur babies and plenty of room to run. We will probably be back when it isn't so hot!

The park is no longer fenced so no longer a dog park, not sure if it's going to reopen Which is a shame! Hope the city will bring it back

It was my dog Reese and my first time here. He had so much fun. I like that I can walk him on the trail first so he's not super extra going into the park. I'm trying to socialize and train him . He's very much a puppy at 6 years old still. He loved it and got along fine . I'll be bringing him back soon

Converted baseball field with lots of room for doggies to run around. There are two different fenced areas for dogs to play. One area is for small dogs (under 30 pounds) and the other is for bigger dogs. Most of the people that go are friendly and do a good job of keeping an eye on their dogs.

It's a great place to go with your dog, planty of room for them to play and interact with other dogs. They have two sides one small dogs and one for large dogs. Everytime I've taken my dog we've had a great time and meet wonderful people...👍🐶👍🐶👍🐶👍🐶👍🐶

Very large dog park with high fences. There is water available for the dogs and tables and chairs for the humans. The area is well maintained by the city and in a nice neighborhood park

Old baseball diamond converted to a dog park. Area for larger dogs, area for small ones. Scenic trees surrounding the park and the Ellerbee creek trail goes right past

You owe it to your dog to bring him here Today, there were no other dogs, so Murray spent the time running full throttle. It's even more fun (for you and the dog) when there are more dogs there

Very nice dog park with seperate areas for big& lil dogs~ Tip: Lavender Ave that the park is located on, looks like a walking path but you are able to drive down there& park :)

We love that Durham's dog parks have sandboxes for dogs to freely dig in. This park in particular gets a little (a lot) muddy after it rains, but beyond that, this is a great dog park

Took my small dog to park. Lots of room to play. Area was clean. Highly recommend.

Lots of space for puppers to run! There's also a great walking trail right next to the park!

Favorite dog park for after dark/evenings. It's open until 10, whereas most other parks close at dusk.

There were many dogs over 30lbs in the small dog area which was overwhelming for our small dog-people there were unresponsive when i reminded them that there is a 30 lb limit

clean, large, free running water, and lots of friendly dog owners

Everyone I see here is so nice! There's plenty of room to play though yeah, it can get SUPER muddy.
