Rouses Market

Love this Rouses! My first time trying their sushi, and it’s pretty decent for a grocery store. The rolls have a lot of rice and are kinda loose so it falls apart but still relatively good. Just be careful, most of them are mainly only cucumber, imitation crab meat, and avocado so don’t expect to get a lot of fish. They were generous with the crunchy flakes though if you like that. The sushi chefs were also nice and offered samples. They were engaging and helped me decide which ones to buy. I also like how they offer $6 sushi rolls on Tuesdays (only on certain rolls). I will definitely be back to see what they have to offer!

Side note: this is my go-to bakery, floral, and wine Rouses location. It may not be the closest to me, but I feel like their selections are fresher and more up-to-date compared to other Rouses in the surrounding area. Highly recommend this location! It may be busy at times, but that’s a good sign! More customers mean it’s a good place to shop, right?!

The sushi is very good!
I have tried the frozen crawfish pies. But its on my list too so.
The Rouse's chicken salad is awesome.

Recently, my wife and I were in Houma for grand daughters wedding. We visited the Rouses on St Charles Street. We were greeted and welcomed to the store, and asked if they could help us find anything. They were helpful and very courteous. The staff are a plus for the store. The ladies at the counter were very friendly and welcomed us to the store and city and told us to have a safe trip back to Mobile.

i picked up a turkey and swiss poboy sandwich today for lunch,never disappoints,there must've been at least a pound of turkey on my poboy sandwich-dressed with tomatoes and lettuce and given a packet of mustard and mayonnaise (i got extra packs),i could only eat half because i got full, inexpensive (under $7),get this and you won't be disappointed or hungry 💯

Great selection, friendly staff, and decent prices. Definitely good place to go to get multiple items that's hard to find anywhere else.

When I looked at the meat there it was cheap cheap and pretty with not a lot of blood in the packages

Hot lunches 9.99 a pound!! Thats really high cost me $16.00 for 1 chicken breast scoop of potatoes and a scoop of something else!! NEVER AGAIN. looked like everyone in line was freaking out over the prices but still buying it. Id like to try the 4.99 breakfast bar. Fresh sushi made daily that you can get custom made.

Good choice and good food

I am most impressed with employee friendliness, & helpfulness. They are observant of customers and offer help before being asked. I love the meat department - I know that when I find a large cut of meat like a roast that I can get it cut into small roasts, or a combination of stew meat roast and ground meat. Again, the employees never make you feel like you are asking for too much when you have them prepare it while you wait or finish your shopping.

Since I was a teenager and had my first job there I've always been fond of these places. It shows how with hard work dedication and commitment to the community success is achievable. One of the jewels in this area's crown.

Best Smokehouse with prime steaks and meat market

I don't know how this white passion fruit tastes. Rouse's always has some exotic fruits to try!

Love that Rouses is getting more vegan food! Just wished they carried almond milk yogurts and ice creams. Produce is always great. Meat prices were good today!

Love love love my neighborhood Rouses !!! They work hard to deliver quality service!! They were ready, willing, and waiting to service the community for the storm and I am very grateful for everything they did and do for our community and surrounding communities!

A classic Louisiana tradition, which includes; service, selection, and price. What I enjoy most is the consistency, regardless of location a shopper visits.

Rouses always comes in clutch for the community. We've just been through 🌀 Ida and Rouses was one of the first stores to open. I remember when there was only 1 store in Houma in the 70's. I'll never shop anywhere else for groceries.

I love rouses. The one on Saint Charles Street is my favorite. They are friendly. Their pick up service is the best too.

Love shopping at Rouses! The have a great meat and seafood department- the best in the parish for grocery stores. Always neat by my house and usually you are in and out because hey always ya e enough cashiers!
