Holiday Inn Express Winston-Salem Medical Ctr Area, an IHG Hotel

Stayed here while a family member was in the hospital nearby. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and updated. Price was very inexpensive for what felt like a much more expensive hotel. Would definitely recommend if in the area and will gladly be using holiday inn for my future travels.

Super clean place, very neat. Free coffee and complimentary breakfast. Rooms are laid out well with super nice showers. Pretty much anything you could need in the room. Including iron and board. Bathroom has dove bottled soaps and conditioner. Comfy bed and pillows. This is off season but the pool looked nasty.

The entire experience was fantastic. The front desk team of Stephen / Jonathan / Jay were exceptional making sure everyone's stay exceeded expectations. The breakfast crew were wonderful, as well. Professional and anticipated every need. My stay got extended a few nights and the entire staff were top notch in every aspect. Excellent place to stay!

We stayed here a couple of nights for a major event. It was so refreshing for us to be greeted by a clean and impeccable reception area, breakfast nook, elevators, and rooms that did not smell of weed, cigarette smoke, or mold (Believe me, it's highly uncommon to find such a place in today's world).

We were glad we chose this place, though it was on the pricier side. The room was conveniently laid out. Our beds were made, towels were stocked, and rooms were cleaned every day.

It's conveniently located close to the interstate and right across from the Atrium Health/Wake Forest Medical Center/Baptist Hospital. The parking lot was packed, so we were forced to park behind the building. We were a bit suspicious, but our vehicles were safe.

They had free bottled water and a great breakfast with a lot of options - fruit, oatmeal, sausage, eggs, croissants, bagels, cereal, juice, muffins, and cinnamon rolls.

Most people we saw at this place were middle-agers who prioritized the look and feel and calm and quiet of this place just as we did.

I stayed here during a conference, and loved my stay! I had previously stayed at this hotel four years ago, and it was okay, but sort of run down. Even then, I remember the staff was extremely nice.

However, the hotel is newly renovated, and is as nice as any Holiday Inn Express I have stayed in! It feels crisp and clean, from the lobby to hallway to rooms. I got daily housekeeping, which I didn’t even get this summer in a deluxe Disney resort. There is also a LOT to do in this area! I feel this hotel is a hidden gem, and I definitely want to stay here in the future when I attend this conference. I prefer it so much to the more expensive hotel that I stayed in the last two years that there is no question.

However, I did give the room 4 stars, because the only bad thing was that the first night, I had zero hot water. I was able to take a hot shower in the morning, however.

I’ve stayed here on three separate occasions, and each one was great. The customer service is outstanding., the rooms nice, the beds are comfortable, and prices are reasonable.

Very convenient location for visiting Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. Also close to Harris Teeter for groceries as needed. Clean. Decent full breakfast. Friendly staff.

Had a great experience at this Holiday Inn Express. Want to specifically mention the great customer service my family and I received from the second we walked in the door. Juan who worked at the front desk was awesome! He was so incredibly kind and was quick to help us with what we needed. First contact is always so important for businesses and usually set the tone instantly going forward. Juan definitely made us feel right at home and it was appreciated so much. I hope this review is shared with Juan and he is recognized for his excellent customer service.

The hotel was very nice and the room (double queen) was perfect for my family of four. Room was very clean and A/C worked great. The pool was clean and very refreshing. The atmosphere at the hotel felt very safe and the breakfast was very good as well. Would definitely stop here again on our travels if the opportunity presents itself.

I had my reservations about staying at a proposedly two star hotel, but after a family member was admitted to Baptist hospital, we needed to stay nearby. Great place to just stop and crash and sleep. Clean, safe parking, easy to find. Definitely close enough to the hospital to hear the ambulances though. I'd stay here again

I stayed here for 7 nights. I really like the decor of and modernized style of the rooms. The breakfast was top notch for a hotel in this price range. Hot bar with eggs, sausage, biscuits, bagels, Oatmeal, boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit, etc. Location is awesome, with whole foods, publix, and Harris teeter all within 5 min walk. Japanese restaurant next to Panera was good. You won't regret your stay here.

This is the perfect place to stop and rest. I've stayed for a few days to be close to the hospital. There is a shopping center 0.3 miles walk to the front door of the grocery store. There are several restaurants here and a Dollar Tree. The staff has been courteous and the breakfast has been good every morning. Free coffee and tea in the lobby. Beds are luxurious and the pillows just hug you back. Don't pass t this place up. I believe you would only do worse.

Took friend and his sister and I for his surgery- located so close to Baptist Hospital you couldn't get lost. Used my points so room was free.

Nice new shower in most rooms. Wonderful pillows that I wanted to keep. Excellent price if you use hotwire. If they are booked up, then the price can be very expensive. It was one of the best free breakfasts at a hotel I've ever had.

Hot breakfast. Hot coffee. Clean rooms and walking distance from food and shopping. Free Wi-Fi.

We were here for 2 nights for a family reunion and my husband had chosen this hotel I have to say good move. I love the microwave which came in handy later on after bringing food back from the reunion and the fridge kept leftovers and beer till we were ready, the bed is very comfortable closet space is very very small. which if your carrying a lots of clothes might be a problem for some people . Coffee and tea is always available plus there is a food,snack & soda machine to fill your hunger needs, the room has ample sockets to charge your many items. I love the many bright colors of the hotel to me colors Is Life ad I had never seen the sky one color there are ice machine on each floor. I did not use the swimming pool. The young lady on duty on 8_20_22 deserves a big pat on her shoulders I did not get her name but she handles a crowd without a drop of sweat and extreme calmness. Good going Miss. 5****for you also. There is a lot of available parking including handicapped spaces. what I did not like was the Air conditioner water that was dripping down the front of the back door , other than that this is a hotel I would recommend and if in the area would make this my first choice to stay in this part of North Carolina. The Nelson's.

If I could give this location 100 stars I most definitely would. ALL of the staff here is amazing. I will definitely be back. The hotel is very clean, rooms are amazing. I've never met such an amazing staff. And I have stayed at hotels all over the world. This is by far the best experience I've had. I highly recommend.

I will recommend this hotel to everyone I know. My husband was in a terrible car accident and had to be at Baptist Hospital for two weeks. The kindness and hospitality of the staff here made my time in Winston Salem more bareable during this hard time. The rooms were so clean, the beds and pillows were so comfy. I was able to rest when I needed to and I felt safe. The staff makes this hotel feel more like a bed and breakfast atmosphere, they really care about their guests and even remember your name. I will go back here and stay when we have doctor visits in the area. They are also remodeling and it's going to be gorgeous when it's done.

My mother had an appointment at wake forest hospital (routine). It turned into a 9 day stay. The staff at holiday inn were so nice and inviting. They assisted me with extended stays, each time I received a new update concerning whether or not mother would have to stay another night at the hospital. When mother had to check out, we had to stay 1 more night to male the appointment the following day. House keeping made sure the the room and bathroom were sanitized and cleaned for her. I sincerely appreciate them helping make this process a smooth one. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs a great room for a great price with great staff, near plenty of places to eat from (that deliver) and want to be near the hospital as well.

Room was clean and comfortable. Bed was like a gorgeous giant marshmallow, very soft and comfy. Bathroom looked brand new, very clean. Adjustable thermostat was very nice on an extremely cold night. Keurig coffee pot in room was an awesome touch. Coffee and tea were both available in room. The establishment is under renovation. My only problem, the new shower handle was not completely installed which made regulating water temperature difficult. My shower was lukewarm. Please do not let this deter you from staying here. The night clerk was excellent. Checkout in the morning was quick. I wasn't able to stay for the free breakfast.
