Mike was extremely helpful and patient with me, taking care to provide the best lengths of wood to minimize scrap (and cost). I was impressed with the quality and the availability of different moldings and trims in various types of wood.

Great experience every single time I go in there. Staff is kind and courteous and professional. I dealt with three different staff members and they were knowledgeable and patient with my millions of questions!

I walked in to their busy store. I first thought getting service might take long but I stood waiting. To my pleasant surprise a sales assoc quickly greeted me and we discussed my needs. After listening to my needs, he took and fulfilled my order swiftly. Considering the customer traffic I was pleased with the speed and accuracy.

Customer services is professional, personal, friendly and the workers know what they are doing. Bob and Kevin spent lots of lots of time helping me create a mantle I love. I actually had fun working with them and recommend others to go here for their wood working needs.

The staff are knowledgeable and great to work with. I enjoy doing business with them as they will answer my multitude of questions as I must always travel down many optional paths in order to complete a design or concept.

We utilize their great products in all of a projects!

St Charles Hardwoods is really the only place in the St Louis area that I go for my hardwood needs. They have a massive selection of trim as well as a storefront where you can buy tools and supplies but I mainly go for the rough lumber. The price list I posted is accurate as of Oct 2019 and I am not sure how often they update. You can also score great deals on 'shorts' (under 6 feet) at a reduced cost. There is usually a really good selection of exotics and quality domestics year round.

The staff is helpful and friendly if you need them. Years ago, on my first visit, I have to admit it was odd walking through the door to the warehouse because you feel like you are walking into an employee only area. If you have any questions just ask the guys walking around/behind the counter they are extremely knowledgeable. I have gone in before looking for a specific wood for a project, found out they no longer stock it, and had suggestions on what would be a good replacement.

Good selection at a good price with knowledgeable staff.. what more could you ask for? A shame the Fenton location closed, we need another location in the city, say Ballwin?

Very friendly and helpful staff, they go out of their way to assist you, and prices are very fair. Looking at the store front is deceiving as once you go inside and walk back in their warehouse it is HUGE with tons of wood products.
