Po-Boy Express

I grew up eating at the original PoBoy Express in Ocean Springs, MS. We were in Hattiesburg for a function and had to go! The food was just as good, as always, and the staff was pleasant! I got the Steakbomb with po-taters because that’s all I ever get there. My daughter got the same. My son got the pepperoni special. My son gave it a 9/10 which is incredible, considering he usually eats a grilled cheese and Doritos everywhere we go. If you’re close to a PoBoy Express, you owe it to yourself to go!

This place has the best poboy around. I always get the steak bomb. It has tender steak, shrimp and lots of other veggies that are sautéed to perfection. Top it with a side of their comeback dressing and fries and you have a meal that will not leave you hungry or disappointed. The bread is very good and the service is great. It is inside a gas station so maps may take you a little off the actual location. Look for the gas station on the corner and poboy express will be on the left portion of the station.

Got a steak bomb & cheese sticks, both were excellent. Service was great especially the young lady that knows me by voice. Can't beat that.

Ordered a roast beef po boy and fries to go. Was made fresh and thr sandwich and fries were piping hot when I received them. Almost as good as Parkway in NOLA and thats a serious compliment.

As usual, the food was fabulous and the service was swift and with lots of smiles 😃 and thank yous!! Of course, everything I've eaten here is always wonderful and well prepared, served quickly and the prices are very economical!! Its just SO much better than the regular burger, which becomes boring if you eat out many times?! I LOVE PoBoy Express ❤

Quick service, tasty and generous portions.

This is a great place to get a sandwich or salad. The food is always delicious. I love the grilled shrimp salad. My kids love the steak bomb sandwich. They are super friendly and get your order right every time. Also they will deliver nearby. Great choice for a quick lunch or dinner.

Today I was locked out of my car. I was scared and had no way of calling for help because my phone was also locked in my car. I made my way into the po-boy express in hopes of getting help. And what I got was something much more than just help. The gentleman that helped me find a locksmith and helped me call for help was so kind. On top of everything he offered me food and water. The food was amazing and the kindness I received was something so rare and though I was having a terrible time he made me feel safe and cared about. Please, if you’re looking for a good place to get great food with a bit of southern kindness stop in. I promise you will never be disappointed. Thank you again for helping me. I wanted to tell you how much it meant but I’m just really shy. It meant more than you realized. Bless you. 1000x Thank you.

Man, the poboys here are so good, along with everything else! I usually get the hammerhead, but last week I was feeling a fried shrimp poboy, and it was incredible! Onion rings were cooked to perfection as well. Easy in and out quick serve restaurant and always nice and friendly staff. A staple in Hattiesburg for sure!

Fried shrimp have a good taste but most are as small as gumbo shrimp.

Food was great and fresh! Staff was friendly and accommodating! Great prices. I’ll definitely be going back. My mom and I really enjoyed it.

This place is delicious, they know how to do poboys right! They also have chicken tender and catfish baskets. The fried catfish is great.

Very fast service. Food was cooked after I ordered which was unmistakably fresh and delicious and waited only about 4 min. I'm amazed. Friendly people and very clean
