Eatery at Hodge Podge Lodge

This is such a quaint location for breakfast or brunch. The restaurant is in combination with a bed and breakfast lodge as well as gorgeous outdoor wedding venue. The restaurant looks like a home that's been converted into an eatery. It has a cozy cottage vibe with sunlight beaming through the white curtains of the windows.

You can see the garden and greenery through the windows while you eat. It's absolutely beautiful. The employees here are warm and friendly and their menu is clear and easy to navigate. The food is priced fairly since everything is fresh and made in house.

I ordered the seafood crepes which were light and filling. It had crab, shrimp, spinach and mushroom creme sauce. My sister ordered the beet salad with added salmon and my dad got the crabcake eggs benedict. Everything we got was delicious.

Our waiter Jamie was so sweet and came to check on us regularly and made recommendations on the menu.

I would highly recommend this restaurant to locals and visitors looking for a homey, relaxed, and peaceful breakfast!

The Eatery at Hodge Podge did not disappoint!! The service was surperb!! The food was EXCEPTIONAL!! The atmosphere was perfect! COMPLIMENTS to the chef!! The reviews do not do this hidden jewel justice. Great place to dine.

What a lovely little gem in the country. We were heading to Lake Conroe to stay at Margaritaville and saw this restaurant on google maps. Made reservations for Saturday brunch and it did not disappoint. Lovely setting, great atmosphere, great food and service. We ordered the crab Benedict (must have), the bang bang shrimp (great pasta flavor however the shrimp was just fried, missing some seasoning, and the shrimp and grits (good flavor). We highly recommend this place. It takes you back to the good ol days.

Loved it, loves, loved it! Andrea was our server and she was superior in her performance. It is a absolutely gorgeous with a very varied menu. They begin dinner at 5:00 pm. The lunch was fantastic. The crab cake sliders and fish tacos were the BEST to be had from any restaurant in the Houston area. Their onion rings are fantastic. Try the Haystack with a nice red wine. They have a very large wine list. Prices are mid range but consider you will get two meals out of each serving so it's not too bad. Located in beautiful Montgomery Texas. Definently worth the price. You will feel like you just came home.

Food was outstanding, Colin provided exceptional service, and the ambience was lovely! Clever menu selection for kids! I had the Deviled Eggs, Chicken and Spinach Crepes, Bloody Mary, and seasonal peppermint martini for dessert. As a famous character once said, “I’ll be back!”

Incredible brunch and such a wonderful history of the estate! The menu is fresh and diverse and you can tell the whole staff puts their heart into what they do.

Really good meal at a really neat place!! The food is very well thought out and prepared to perfection. A small town gem in growing Montgomery. This was our second visit, and it definitely won't be our last!! Met family there, and we were able to visit comfortably while enjoying a great meal!!

My brother is having his wedding here, so we decided to make a trip out there to their food. Absolutely everything was delicious! The best appetizer we tried was definitely the onion rings. By far, the best onion rings I've ever had. I got the seafood crepes with smoked gouda grits. They were the kind of delicious where you're stuffed, but you keep eating anyways. Worth the drive!

My son and I went for a quick snack and honestly we were amazed at how beautiful and unique the place was. We seated at the bar area, it was so comfy, the serves and bartender were incredible sweet and welcoming. The food was delicious, my son loved the burger and I had the spinach artichoke dip and it was super yummy.
I’m so happy we have a beautiful place like y’all in this town. Thank you guys!

This is a hidden gem in a small town. The ambience is amazing. It feels like you're walking in to the late 1800's with great food and service.

Hands down, the best restaurant in Downtown Montgomery. Exceptional food, professional, attentive wait staff, and a warm inviting setting. Don't miss this great dining experience.

The food was absolutely amazing and the service was top notch. It's so cool to be in a historical house eating brunch. Would highly recommend their biscuits and gravy.

My family and I came today for Easter brunch, it was our first time and we will certainly be back! Everything was hot and delicious, didn’t have to wait for more than a minute for anything, and it was well worth the price tag. I do wish there would have been at least one complimentary beverage included with the meal, but I understand that could probably be a little pricey or hard to keep track of. Regardless, everything was great, all the servers were so friendly, and being a parent of a baby and a toddler, I didn’t feel like a burden or that we were not welcomed. It was definitely a family friendly environment :)

A true hidden gem. Make sure you talk with the owner, Chef Jeff. He'll give you a tour and tell you the story of the building. Worth the trip!

Dinner here was a first for me but I must say the food was really good. We ordered the onion rings, crab cakes and the spinach and artichoke dip (appetizers). My favorite was the onion rings. We were seated in the back where it was a bit more private and quiet, it was a very nice dinner by a fireplace. Atmosphere was amazing and the service was amazing as well.

My friend and I came here for lunch and it was my 1st time here. What an experience! Great historical house, so charming and just a super cool atmosphere. We had the pleasure of being served by Chantel who was so attentive and friendly! She smiled, she answered our questions with knowledge, and was just superb! The food was amazing...delicious, well seasoned, hot and fresh! I will definitely be back with my family and cannot wait to try the dinner menu as well!
