How am I only finding out about this place?

After stopping into Burke Street pizza for the first time, the retro signage on the door caught my eye and we had to go and check it out.

I was immediately welcomed by a wall of pokémon themed collectibles and a christmas tree decorated with the like. So cute! It was also really neat to see these retro games and consoles that could really take front and center stage. Unlike other used game stores, they really elevated and gave these a more dignified showcasing of value. Had me questioning whether I should be selling my old game boy games and consoles! Seems to be a market for this and I'm glad to see it.

Felt like walking into an EB Game store for me. Shows how long I've been around. Sheesh.

Great selection and prices! We were actually referred here by a local gamestop because we were looking for more retro console games. We found quite a few things we've been looking for for a good deal and the guys inside are very friendly! They helped me find a copy of a game I've been wanting for ages. Very very happy we stopped in and looking forward to coming back

Great experience. I was looking for guitar hero controllers, and I ended up getting 3 and all guitar heros games. The guys in there are great, and they test all the equipment before selling. They also replace batteries in older game cartridges like N64 and Gameboy. Come here before going anywhere else.

The peeps over at Retroid are cool as hell. Trade in values are great, product prices are great and they even do solder repairs which are at a great price. If you're looking for something skip McKay's or GameStop and check and see if they have it here first. They will treat you well and they got a sick Instagram page.

From a New Yorkers perspective: Fantastic! Amazing prices that are better than you would find anywhere else in NY, and good service from the owner who clearly knows what he's doing with old consoles. Highly recommended for any retro fans who happen to be in the city.

I felt like a kid in a candy store as I shared wonderful childhood memories with my children. The service was excellent, and the staff were very knowledgeable and accommodating – truly a delightful experience!

Had to pick up a Nintendo DS charge cable and a few games. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

I got to hang out for a little bit on a Sunday afternoon. Nick, the owner, was there and is super friendly. Great inventory, lots of cool stuff. Highly recommend

Great customer service and employees.m never had a bad experience in this place. The absolute best video game store in Winston Salem I have traded games and consoles with this store. They give great prices and have the most retro games. Just got a GameCube and traded for a 64 and games. My son loves this store also.

We always love going in here. The staff is helpful and fun. Nick is very personable and has so much knowledge to share about gaming. The prices are great and they have so many options :)

I was only in the area for a couple a days but based off the photos I had to check it out and it was 100% worth it the owners/ workers are so so nice and helpful. Really good selections of everything from collectibles to games from any system. What also blew me away was how the used the space they have perfectly and was well organized knowing where everything was at. Next time I'm in town I will definitely be going over here

Visited here for the first time today! Nick was fantastic. I was able to secure NCAA13 for a really good price. The door to the place is pretty sweet as well. I recommend it. 5/5.

Stopped in today - the power was out! Regardless of the dark, the employees still had high spirits and were very kind to me. I found so many games I hadn't seen in person in years. They also had lots of old action figures from the Final Fantasy series (one of which I bought at an awesome price) and plushies from different anime series. I will definitely be adding this to my set of stops to see in Winston when I come by! Highly satisfied with the service and stock.

bought an NES, giggled like a child, rapidly looking to replace brand new big screen TV with and older tube job so the games look better.

I was impressed with their selection of games. It's a small shop, but it's well stocked. A nice variety of games & accessories for older systems. Collectibles as well.

Retroid Games & Records is one of my favorite local stores. It’s always my first stop for anything video game related. They have wide variety of games ranging from current consoles to old classic ones, all while having some of the best prices for video games I’ve seen. I can confidently say there’s a little something here for everyone.

Besides a wide selection of games, they also have all kinds of consoles, cables, controllers, etc, and they even provide a professional disc resurfacing service for your old scratched up games. While you’re at it, be sure to check out all the records, movies, collectibles, and anime merch as well!

Lastly, I’ve have to take a moment to mention the incredible staff. No matter who is behind the counter, I know I’ll have an amazing experience shopping at Retroid. Every visit is a joy, and I know I’ll walk out with a smile, and plenty of new items to add to my collection!

This place has everything I love to collect. Horror movies/collectibles/video games for EVERY console. Knowledgeable and friendly staff and located in beautiful historic winston Salem. Would recommended to anyone and everyone.

It has been a long time since there has been a Reto shop as cool as this. Not only did they have an amazing selection of games and consoles and even records the prices were VERY reasonable. The whole place had a great vibe and the staff is friendly and helpful. I cannot wait to come back here.
