The Graylyn Estate

We stayed in an Antique Room in the Manor House and had a magical stay. Every detail in our room was gorgeous but the bathroom was especially beautiful. Every staff member we encountered was accommodating and friendly. We started planning a return trip before we even loaded up our bags to leave.

I attended a wedding shower on the property. The food was delicious. The staff during the lunch was so attentive and helpful. Thad was particularly helpful and attentive. Thanks for a wonderful celebration.

Loved loved our stay at Graylyn. We stayed in the Gardners Cottage. The grounds are picture perfect. The staff were amazing, professional, friendly and kind. Definitely was a treat to stay here.. truly hope to be able to stay here again.

If you want to feel like you’re in a European castle, this is it. The architecture was stunning, the bar in the basement felt like a speakeasy. We walked around for a while inside just taking in the decor and exploring all the rooms. Really special place if you get a chance to check it out. Oh yeah and one of the original owners loved ice cream so there’s a stocked mini fridge filled with goodies that you can raid whenever you want!

I have lived in Winston Salem, NC, my whole life and Graylyn will remain one of my favorite places. The property is very easy to walk and well maintained. I bring my dog here on a regular basis and let her play in the front lawn. Also a great spot to have picnics in the front lawn during the warmer months.

This is an impressive historical hotel. To fully appreciate this place, you should learn about Mr. and Mrs. Gray and their family and also how they built up the Gray House. I had the opportunity to listen to their history from Grays' Butler who was a great story teller. Spending time in rooms that are decorated with 16th and 17th-century art was a unique experience. Persian room was very interesting and was a big surprise to find here. The mansion has a huge garden which is great for walking. The staff was very kind and respectful. The complimentary morning coffee and butterscotch cookies are great. There is a famous ice cream room that is available for 24 hours which is really a mini freezer full of free, average ice creams.
Also, each room is unique.
We enjoyed our time here at Graylyn Estate in Manor House. We will definitely come back.

Such a beautiful architecture more like medieval castles and courts .
The other hotels are incredibly beautiful as well.
There is a restaurant as well, and you need to make reservations a day prior if you're just visiting .

This place is gorgeous and the service is great. Although inside the room was not bad, it had the feel of a regular hotel in the section of the Mews that we were at. The 1st image with the sun shining on the building and the grass in front of it was from our simple balcony. They have bikes that you can easily grab and go for a ride on.

Absolutely perfect - my girls loved staying at the castle!

Every single person I interacted with was so warm and helpful.

We really enjoyed the pool which was beautifully situated between the Gardener's Cottage and the Main House and had a diving board.

The house itself is lovely - if you like art and architectural details you will find many wonderful things to appreciate.

We were able to explore a bit on our way to the basement bar which would be worth a visit on it's own.

At check-in, we were told that kids are welcome in the basement bar and that food is available. A super helpful tip - I took my youngest on a date to explore and we had drinks and (delicious) french fries and played war (one of several games available). We both had such a lovely time - made even better by the most thoughtful bartender (he let us order fries - off menu - and recommend we ask for them to go light on the salt - he was right).

There's also a ride service - golf cart and van - to take you from the outer buildings to the main house and pool.

Overall - a great experience - I highly recommend!

Wife made reservations for an Anniversary dinner at Manor House. The whole dining experience was a home run. The facility is fascinating! Our server, Nicole, was a true professional. She was welcoming, courteous, helpful and informative. The timing on the courses were spot on! (So nice to not feel rushed) The quality of the food and drink was heavenly. We will definitely be back!

Just wow...I booked my parents a night here on their drive up from Florida. They can't stop raving!! My dads birthday fell around the same time and they made him feel extra special. The ground and buildings are just stunning! And I would recommend this place to everyone. Thanks again for making my parents stay absolutely incredible.
