Lime & Lemon Indian Grill & Bar - Durham

The staff is friendly and professional, the drinks are great, and the food is terrific. Tonight I had a drink special, Green Paradise, which was tropical and delicious. We started with the medium spicy Gobi Pepper appetizer, which was savory and slightly spicy. I had the Madras Chicken and my wife had Tofu Vindaloo. The chicken was in a rich, spicy coconut based curry. If you're in Durham, near 9th Street, make sure to stop in for lunch or dinner.

This is the best restaurant in the South. We've been coming here for several years, and it just keeps getting better and better. The food is unique -- don't expect your usual Indian fare. It's much, much better than anything you've ever experienced. I simply cannot express how delicious the food is here.

In addition to having the best food in the universe, the staff is also on point. Anand is one of our favorites. He and the rest of the staff are always on top of things. Thank you all!!

Amazing food & people! We tried their catering tasting menu and the food was delicious and authentic. Napoleon gave us great recommendations and a huge variety of dishes to taste for a very reasonable tasting fee. He answered all of our questions and also took into consideration any of our personal preferences. We’re excited to work with Lime & Lemon for our event.

Definitely must try their chukka, biryani and paneer shaam savera dishes! We absolutely loved both mango and malai kulfi and couldn’t pick our favorite. Best Indian food in NC! ☺

When I tell you don't walk run to Lime & Lemons I tell no lies. We are not NC natives just traveling for vacation but this restaurant is on my top list for best Indian cuisine. We went for dinner and from the service, to the drinks, and food presentation to overall taste everything was excellent . We ordered bombay shrimp biryani, two berry cocktails (special recommended by waiter) , Indian sweet mule, shrimp tikka masala, garlic naan, vegetable samosa (no pic because we devoured them on sight) and received complimentary gulab juman. The food and drinks had so much flavor and a true taste of fresh fruit, herbs, and spices . The cute details added to the drinks and ambiance and decor of the restaurant was so nice .

Fantastic Indian food. It's the best I have ever had. Highly recommend the mango lime paneer and lamb korma. Garlic naan and spinach and cheese naan are both great. And you have to try the mango lassy!
Service is excellent also. I've gone a few times now with Aliston and he is very attentive and goes the extra mile to make your meal enjoyable. All the staff have been great.

The food, ambience and hospitality is just amazing. Anand, Alston, Ashay and Kevin made us feel we don’t miss the Indian food. Taste ambience service food music… everything is just perfect and every time… these guys rock and a must visit. Thank you guys

Food was awesome!!! Great Indian food in Durham. I like that since it's new it's very clean. We went on a Sunday and it was sort of busy and they also were fully staffed, so at times it felt like employees were standing around waiting to take orders and every 2 minutes they were coming back to the table asking if we were ready to order. It kind of felt like they were hovering. Nonetheless, the food was great, and the service was great, and they cleared the plates right away and kept our waters full at all times. This location is a little small on the inside.

L&L continues to deliver high quality consistently. We were recommended two amazing cocktails by Anand: Spicy Andhra Margherita and Kacha Aam. Beautifuly presented drinks with distinct Indian flavors.

Food was ready within reasonable time, despite the place being absolutely packed. Delicious as usual, though I would love to see some newer vegetarian options.

Sat outside on an early October Friday for dinner. Was busy but made a reservation easily online just in case, though it didn't seem necessary because they didn't even check the reservation list. Extremely polite and attentive wait staff, including Anand from Goa, all Indian. We got tandoori chicken (not as red or dry rub as expected, first plate was too salty, second plate offered and was extremely piping hot and beautifully tender) and mango lime paneer curry (very tasty) and garlic naan. All was mild ordered and basically has no spiciness to my taste buds.

Lime and Lemon has the best Indian food in Durham - so good! We especially love the Gobi Manchurian appetizer and the Paneer Tikka. I would say the atmosphere is upscale casual, so it’s a great place for a date night. They make amazing drinks at the bar, too, and we love the variety of Mocktails on the menu. Morris and the other wait staff always take great care of us!

My husband and I have eaten here 3-4 times now and the food is always incredible! The servers are also wonderful and friendly. Kevin was our server tonight and he was so great! He made sure everything we ordered came out perfect, including the spice level (I’m not as experienced with spiciness as some). We would highly recommend this restaurant!

One of the best Indian Restaurants I’ve ever been to. The Lemon & Lime theme is carried throughout the decor, food and drinks. Our Red Hot Margs were top tier. The baby corn app was the perfect amount of spicy. I felt adventurous and picked something random off of the menu and absolutely loved it.

It has been a year since I graduated and left Durham, but I still think about this restaurant and miss it so much. I celebrated so many important occassions here--birthdays, graduation, date nights because this place is just so perfect. WONDERFUL food and excellent service. The owner is so nice and the staff is so welcoming. I miss Lime and Lemon. GO TO THIS PLACE IF YOU ARE IN DURHAM!!

Every time here we have an absolutely fabulous experience! The food is delicious, staff is so attentive and accommodating (and the biggest surprise is fun and amazing drinks too!). Most recently, Morris waited on us; he shared info about the music we were enjoying, brought over a special dessert, and was generally so kind and generous! Big fans of this spot!

It is a fantastic place for Indian food. We were visiting so couldn't try a lot of things but we ordered was pretty darn good. A big thumbs up! The atmosphere was lively!

Food was amazing! Highly recommend to try the mango biryani. It’s mind-blowing. The lamb fried rice was good too. The service of their staff was awesome!

Lime & Lemon in Durham has become one of our favorite locations for takeout Indian food due to the quality and variety of its menu options. However, the dine-in experience is also top-notch. In addition to the delicious food, it has great service, a modern ambiance, and an excellent bar. My most recent visit was for dinner with my spouse and 9-year old son. Anand took great care of us...he was patient with our indecision (too many good options to choose from!), kept our drinks full, and was very attentive overall. Highly recommend Lime & Lemon!

My partner and I ate here for the first time on Christmas Day to celebrate my birthday, and the food and service were excellent. Anand and Kevin brought wonderful energy and service our entire meal. We ordered the naan basket, malai korma, and dal tadka. It’s going to become my new go-to restaurant go try their appealing cocktail and food menus.

You need the best Indian food, this is the place. I was surprised by the quality of food I had here... amazing taste... authentic food... very friendly Staff. Ashay, Aliston were. Just awesome. I have been here for almost 10 times in one.week... this place is always welcoming and the best part is the satisfaction u leave with from here. I surely suggest n will keep coming back
