Louie and Honey's Kitchen

This place has been on my list for awhile now and I am so glad I finally got to try it. I had walked by it several times and even peeked my head in but didn't get anything because I was on my way to somewhere else at the time. It's such a lovely space- clean, bright, inviting. I came here before work on Friday after pi day to continue the celebration with a slice of quiche and the chocolate chess pie. I also got their specialty irish latte. Service was fast and friendly, and the food and drink did not disappoint! I actually don't even like quiche that much but this was warm, thick and fluffy, packed with fillings and flavors. The chocolate chess pie was scrumptious and the latte was just what I needed to power through the morning. I will definitely be back to explore more of their menu. I'd also love to get through some emails or a few chapters with a hot cup of coffee here. It’s a little pricy, but you get what you pay for- service, flavor, and just an overall pleasant, welcoming experience from start to finish. This place is truly a gem.

Wanted to try Louie and Honey's Kitchen in Winston-Salem after reading a review on the cinnamon rolls. The place is located in a very cute area of the city near Hanes Park. The place is well decorated and pleasing to the eye. The staff promptly greeted me upon entry and was helpful in making a choice.. which was going to be easy. Cinnamon roll does indeed live up to the billing but is very rich and deserves two sittings to finish. Talked into a rice crispy treat as well that was half the size of a brick. It was dense but had good flavor to it. Sat and enjoyed the ambiance of the place as I tried my food and was very relaxing. Place makes drinks as well, so a one-stop shop for sure. Lots of other desserts to choice from and even a quiche. Worth the stop in for sure.

Came here with a group to get a coffee and pastry, settled on a Cappuccino and chocolate chip cookie and they did not disappoint.
Everyone knows the cinnamon rolls are the best in town but definitely don't sleep on their coffee! The quality was great and the foam art was a nice touch. There is also a variety of seating both indoors and doors so we were very comfortable. Will definitely return!

Let me start off by saying what a great experience! Food, presentation, cleanliness, service, and coffee all checked the box for me. Greeted by Super friendly staff, and presented with a wonderful selection of baked goods and sweets. We opted for the famous cinnamon roll (whole reason we came), the fresh baked chocolate cookie, quiche, and seasonal coffee. The cinnamon roll is the best I have had, paired with the espresso was perfect. I'm not even sure what quiche we ordered but it was fabulous. The only room for improvement would be the seasonal coffee, it could have been a little sweeter, but our taste buds might have been off since we were eating so many sweets.

They have the BEST cinnamon rolls ever. I moved away from Winston and returned, and had to come here immediately because the cinnamon rolls are just THAT good. They are soft and gooey and have a delightful, lightly-maple flavored frosting that melts in your mouth. They are huge and will send you into a sugar coma, so you could consider splitting one with a friend, or saving some for a later treat! $6 each, which seems steep, but is worth it for how good they are and how large. They have some nice indoor seating and outdoor tables and chairs on their deck, too. I got the cinnamon rolls to go, but it looks like a great spot to meet a friend for coffee and a baked good, or have a business meeting!

Let me tell you! I have never heard of Louie and Honey’s Kitchen before and I’ve been in Winston for 7 years. I seen a review on it and the same review was sent to me by two of my closest people and I just had to go try it. The cinnamon roll was the most talked about in the video I saw and I couldn’t wait to get one. I get in there and the atmosphere is so peaceful and soothing. And the line was not long at all but it was packed with people sitting down. The service was very fast, and both of the young ladies who were working 11/28 were very nice, fast, and efficient. I came home and tried the cinnamon roll and let me tell you, it is the BEST cinnamon roll I’ve ever had and it is HUGE! I couldn’t get through it all in one day. But I love it so much and I will recommend this lovely kitchen to anyone. If you are even in the Winston or surrounding areas, please go try it! You will not be disappointed!

Stunning and delicious! Exceptional frosting consistency and flavor. Highly recommend the Blackberry Lemon Muscovado Cake - 8" Three layers. The birthday girl was very happy!

Oh this place is dangerous! I stopped by after the girls who did my at Alkali raved about how delicious everything is. And wow, great first impression. Quick and friendly service, I had to try the cinnamon roll and rosemary cheddar scone. Both were great but the scone holy cow!! Addictive. They even gave me a free glazed lemon poppyseed scone and that was delicious as well. Can’t wait to go back and try more treats!

Louie and Honey’s has such a great atmosphere. It is open, outside and indoor seating, and has great natural lighting. I am always in search of the best cinnamon roll, and I believe they have it! It is absolutely delicious. Coffees and espressos are always on point. Love the option of getting dishes when eating in. I keep going back!

It was my first time stopping by I had been wanting to get by here for a while. I got the famous Amish Cinnamon Roll. Absolutely delicious!! Probably the best Cinnamon roll I've ever had. I got some of the delicious Quiche Loraine.

I love Louie and Honeys Kitchen! All of the baked goods are delicious, but the cinnamon rolls are the best I’ve ever had.
I just read an absolutely unhinged review by “some body” on here that was pissed because they wouldn’t make more rolls when they ran out one day. I just want to say that is standard practice in a bakery. They also claimed they “store them for day in an airtight container.” That person has reading comprehension problems because that is obviously an instruction for a customer who buys a roll and wants to store them at home.
This place has fresh and delicious baked goods and I highly recommend you check it out!

A famous food critic did a review on this bakery. I decided to check it out. It’s a nice atmosphere, cute dainty little place! Smells good and has good cinnamon rolls. The cinnamon roll is huge and cost about 6 dollars.. The downside to it is there is not enough cinnamon and a very distinctive taste of vanilla and caramel. The dough is soft and moist. Some may prefer this over other cinnamon rolls and some may not. Still check it out!

BEAUTIFUL store, lots of parking, clean parking lot and a plethora of absolutely SCRUMPTIOUS baked goods!!! From their freshly baked quiche to the cinnamon rolls and soooo many more treats to choose from, this place is a true gem!!! I drove from Clayton to Chapel Hill to get my daughter then to W-S and we thoroughly enjoyed our treats!!!!

Stopped in to grab a few treats to go. The bakery and pastries are both gorgeous. This was our first visit and the employees answered all of our questions and gave us plenty of time to make our choices. We decided on the cinnamon roll and chocolate chess pie. Each was absolutely amazing. We are anxious to visit again.

I think I first saw a write-up about Lavendar and Honey Kitchen in the paper. Then I found their Facebook page. And then began stalking their Insta. Well, believe me. None of them can do justice to the real thing.
I finally made it to L&HK today after dropping off my son at school. It wasn't too busy, I had plenty of time to gush over how beautiful everything is and take photos and chat with the wonderful staff. I ordered their signature sweet rolls smothered in brown butter frosting, a slice of cake (can't remember which one!) a jalapeño scone, and an absolutely lovely, somehow refreshing juniper citrus latte!
I got home and devoured the sweet roll. It's like it was basted in butter while it baked. And that icing...I just died. Perfect. ❤
I will absolutely return and look forward to tasting their entire menu.

If you like delicious lattes/ coffee of all kinds and freshly baked cakes and pastries, this is the place for you! The environment is wonderful with an elegance that I can only describe as absolutely timeless. Great place to have a coffee date or catch up with friends or even just to go be at peace with a book or computer!!! Excellent service! The staff really cares! I ordered 2 lattes and a slice of lemon cake and it was a 10/10! We will be back!

I have been following them for awhile wanting to see what the hype on the cinnamon rolls were about. I live 2hrs 30mins away so when I was in the area this week I went. It was a Monday around 9am and this place was busy. I wanted to try a Parisian tea but they were out. I got a turmeric ginger tea, rosemary cheddar scone & the cinnamon roll. The blessed cinnamon roll alone is worth the trip there. It was amazing! The tea & scone was good as well.

A cozy Amish inspired cafe bakery with a vast menu of beverages to pair with a multitude of sweet and savory baked goods. The cinnamon buns are the hands-down star of the show as far as the bakery is concerned. Don't pass on the cakes or quiche offerings.
The coffee bar is managed extremely well, turning out a high volume with no loss of quality or lack of detail. Make sure to grab whatever the fresh/seasonal offering is from counter culture.
They also offer a number of other local goods, including the craft soda from Winston, bingo bango.
Get there early and cozy up for an experience.

One of the best places I’ve been to. Food is just amazing. Don’t miss out on the cinnamon rolls. Nothing like them. And yes, one free refill for the coffee lovers. Amazing people helping when you come in, smiles all around.
