We had a vegetarian burrito, quiche & soup. They were all very satisfyingly yum. The cinnamon roll & scone brightened our souls on a cloudy, drizzly day. For some reason the flavors remind me of European cooking. Fresh flavors, nicely crafted. We left happy & satisfied.

This is one of my favorite NC spots that I don't get to enough. I first went here in 2018, and since moving out of NC, it was top of the list of places to enjoy. I was not disappointed in the slightest. The place looked amazing, the staff was really friendly, and fast, and the food was amazing. I had the Japanese iced coffee, Scuttlebutt bagel sandwich, and an apple cider donut. Absolutely AMAZING! My partner, who'd never been before, had the breakfast burrito and was blown away. They practically inhaled it. If you get the chance, I can't recommend this place enough.

I loveeee monuts. Their food is so good. It’s a dangerous place though because it’s hard to go and escape without a sweet treat. Donuts, pastries, cinnamon rolls, you name it! It’s just such a cute little place for a weekend brunch or to stop in and grab a snack. Their fried chicken and pickle sandwich slaps!!

Great food in a comfortable atmosphere and friendly staff. I'd never tried Turkish eggs (they're served on focaccia bread here), and found them to be quite tasty. The salad dressing was very strong (maybe extra onion or ginger in the vinaigrette?), which I liked alright but was too much for my wife. Excellent chai. I also learned that bats make up ~25% of the varieties of mammals and total mammal mass on the earth, facts on our table number. If you were wondering, rodents make up 40%, the only order of mammals more diverse than bats. If you're also wondering whether you should try Monuts, the answer is yes.

Fabulous breakfast; a neighborhood treasure. Though I had to wait in line to order on this Federal holiday, the food and coffee came out pretty quick. Super high quality food sourced locally. Crowded with people and families of my children’s generation; looked to me like my generation was crowding up Elmo’s. Tried Monuts’ own Fresno hot sauce on my eggs, and had to get a bottle to take home with me…

I love the consistency from Monuts coffees to go, and I had yet to dine in. I joined my friend for an early morning breakfast and brought my service dog aura. I was delighted that there were a few vegan items on the menu, but hope they consider adding more.

I wish I could give this place more stars. Incredible food & drink. I would eat breakfast & lunch here every day, if I could.
A sweet potato donut and cold brew, is the best way to start my morning off right. They pay all of their employees a “living wage” which is nice, as they don't hound you for a 25% tip tap, like so many other places

You cannot go wrong with monuts. Everything we tried was amazing. I first went here 9 years ago and got a Lady Gray donut that I remember to this day. The cinnamon roll and the blueberry pancake were both delish. The biscuit- with the homemade strawberry jam- with actual chunks of strawberries was a highlight. The quiche was great and even the side salad with it was good. I did go two days in a row- and did not regret it. The icing on the cake is the mission of Monuts- paying their employees a living wage. I felt good about the food and the money spent. If you are anywhere near Monuts, it’s worth a trip in.

My skepticism of biscuits flaked away the moment I tasted the biscuit, fried chicken, pickle sammy. It was worth the wait. I am a sauce lover and thought I should have ordered extra ranch, but everything was balanced perfectly. Hot honey drizzle bumped it to my #1 spot for a chicken sandwich.

Also really loved the option to sit outside at the picnic tables and enjoy fresh air on a beautiful spring day.

My wife and I went in for a nice coffee and a quick treat to go… we ordered a few drinks and a couple pastries each.
Monuts pulled us in by the cute architecture and restaurant layout, enticed us to try so many more things than planned by having so many unique treats, and ever since has been a constant on our favorite places to visit in Durham ever since.
Having Duke gardens near by really made for a wonderful experience.
If you’d like a fun and chill way to start your day I recommend grabbing some breaky from Monuts and taking it down the street to enjoy it.
Unless you have more self control and want to stay in Monuts. If we stayed we’d just keep trying more and more of their delicious food.

Super crowded place really popular and many people come here and its near duke university. So much variety in food and the food is really good I got the breakfast food with eggs sausage potato and avocado toast and it was really well seasoned and it tasted fresh as if grown with farm grown vegetables and ingredients. Donuts were amazing and the chocolate cheesecake scone was too good. One thing I'd recommend for them is making the drink sizes larger.

Great latte and donuts! The caramel lemon donut was so good. I had the lox bagel which was delicious. It can be kind of hard to find a good bagel place in NC and this place is doing it right. The biscuits were also really nice and flaky.

I love this little cafe! The staff are very nice and welcoming. And there’s always plenty of seating.

The Apple cider donut is amazing as well as the chocolate & peanut butter latte. Honestly I don’t think you can go wrong with anything on the menu.

It’s a really nice place to read, study or just grab a bite with some friends.

We love the vibe of this cafe. Their cake donuts are probably why we went there in the first place. However I think we pretty much like everything we tried. Now I have gone multiple times, don’t remember exactly what all we tried, but don’t remember anything that disappointed. The beverages are great. Tried their gingerbread latte and Christmas tree mocha, both were strong and made hot, like I think beverages should be made :). The person behind the counter, the barista making the drink, were all pleasant to talk to. We also got biscuits to take home to make biscuits and gravy for breakfast and the OMG those biscuits were some of the best I have had! Reminder to go back and grab another pack of them.

The person at the counter told me that they typically start the day with multiple flavors of donuts which gets sold out in a couple of hours.Every time we go, the place is half to semi full. And there is a parking lot too. Let’s just say, I am a fan! :)

The lemon curd scone (i think that’s what it was) was absolutely amazing. All the pastries we got were. The bagel was so well made and tasted incredibly fresh with a very generous helping of cream cheese!! Great breakfast spot

This place was amazing!! The coffee was so good. I was amazed at the cold coffee too. The shawarma sandwich was great with the aioli and the bread quality was amazing. The strawberry avocado sandwich was great with cream cheese and very fresh. The interior decor of the place is great and it is usually crowded for Sat and Sun brunches since it's both cheap and tasty!

I love Monuts but only get to go when I travel up there. The food, coffee and baked goods will ruin you for other places
My only problem is when I do visit for medical appointments it’s on Sundays and Mondays and now they are closed on those days so I hardly get to enjoy my favorite place.

The most incredible little breakfast shop. I had the sausage egg and cheese biscuit which was awesome and also not too heavy. Espresso was great. All the food options look good so I will definitely be back for more. Tip free - they pay a livable wage and yet their prices are around what you would expect for the area. A hidden gem and a place we will frequent for the rest of my days in Durham

Came here for breakfast on a busy Saturday. Even though there was a line to order there was plenty of seating. Food was awesome. Lots of different breakfast and sandwich plates. Make sure to get one of their hand made donuts or pastries. We got the salted caramel and it was sooo goooood. Only downside is the restaurant is super loud. Had to almost yell to have a conversation. But from a good standpoint I give 5 stars. Next time I’ll get a dozen donuts to take home with me.

DELICIOUS! I ordered a toasted bagel with some fresh veggies and cream cheese and it was perfect! It did take me about 15-20 minutes to get it which would have ruined the experience if it didn't taste so great. I went around 9am and there seemed to be plenty of staff but I noticed they were working on a lot of the to-go orders first, vs for those of us inside ordering to-go so just be aware of that and give yourself extra time or call your order in ahead of time.
