First, yes you want to try this place. Second if you like Carolina Burgers. Joe's has one of the best. To take it to another level ask for their homemade spicy pickles and habanero sauce. While I knew it was there I think most people would like it. I'll be asking for more sauce next time. Don't forget to try their crispy potato wedges, yes crispy.

Walked in and smelled something amazing. I asked the owner, Brian what that was. He said you are smelling the brisket. I ordered it and it was one of the best I have had. I paid around $13 for the meal and not sure how they make a profit with how much I got. Brian was also good conversation, and it is clear he has a passion for what he does, which is reflect well in his food!

You guys found a forever customer!

Went last night on a whim and was amazing by the quality of hot dogs, so if course had to go back with the girlfriend and dang it if it wasn't phenomenal again. She got the brisket Philly and was impressed. I've gotten two different hot dogs and both were incredible. And the Joes street corn is amazing as well! Perfection 🙌

We came to this place by accident. My wife had visited on business and mentioned a BBQ place and she thought this was it. It was not.... We saw reviews (94) at the time this place was rated as a 4.7 so we figured we'd try it anyway. This place was fantastic, especially when you factor the price in. I can't say enough good things about this place. The staff was absolutely wonderful. Can't wait to come back.

Absolutely insane food quality and unreal large serving sizes based on the price. Just tried the Mexican street corn for the first time today. Ridiculous. The wings, spicy and BBQ chickens, mac and cheese, homemade homemade baked beans are my favorite. Only place I go for lunch.

Visited this place for the first time & it did not disappoint. The service was excellent & the food was delicious! The cashier was so sweet. She answered all of my questions in a nice, polite manner. My family & I are already planning our next visit. Some of the best grilled chicken that I have had. It's not over seasoned & you get plenty of it. The prices are very reasonable also. We will see you soon. Thanks for the great service & outstanding food! Blessings to you all in the New Year!!

Came into town for a basketball tournament. Stopped in, got the shrimp tacos and my son got a burger and onion rings. Both were delicious and the lady at the counter was very nice and helpful.

We are always on the search for a great hotdog (who isn’t?), we found Joe’s Takeout via Eric on Yelp (where else?). Oak Ridge to Clemmons is a 34 minute trek for us and some might say that’s too far to go for just a hotdog. But there’s nothing “just” about this place. We walked in and I immediately had food choice confusion because the special board had Fish and Chips. I’m a F&C fiend, but I stuck to my plan. We were greeted by a very engaging young woman in a bedazzled mask (so cute) and when she found out we were first timers, she proceeded to explain some of the burger terms on the menu. I was really glad she did!

Tennessee Technique = fried in a skillet
OKC = Onions are mashed into the meat before cooking

She also said that Villa Grill on the front of the strip shop also owned Joe’s. She encouraged us to give them a try too.

I got the 1/4 lb smash burger and Hubs got the double. The bun was a soft artisan roll that had been buttered and grilled. The meat was truly smashed and was a perfect fit to the bun. A 1/2 lb-er seems like too much meat, but I’m telling you it looked fantastic! We ordered with cheese, mayo, mustard, tomato and lettuce. Let me stop here for a second. I don’t like that dark green frilly lettuce, which in my opinion, should be a garnish only. I like iceberg lettuce on my burger. I LOVE shredded iceberg and that’s what they use! The toppings were very fresh and crisp. The edges of the burger were uneven and crunchy, just like a smash burger should be. We added a little salt but that’s just our preference.

We both got the Home Chips and they were delicious! I don’t know what seasoning they used, salt for sure, maybe it was seasoned salt but there was also a little spicy kick to it. They were so good, you didn’t need any ranch, but they did offer some.

Hubs also got the Average Joe Dog. Again, the bun seemed an artisan variety with butter and grilled. The all beef 8” dog had a nice snap and was juicy. The chili was SLIGHTLY sweet and the coleslaw and minced onions were nice and crunchy. He gave me a bite and if we hadn’t already driven away, I would’ve gone back in for my own. He agreed it was so good he’d make the trip again.

We did not get drinks. Our total was about $23 plus tip. The health rating is a 97. All employees were wearing masks and hand sanitizer is available for customer use. I noticed that she was very good about using hand sanitizer before handling the boxes of food.

As an FYI the aroma of BBQ and brisket is very enticing. The ribs are available for dinner. When you smell good food from the parking lot, you know you’re going to have a great experience and happiness is just steps away.

I've been 3 times and all three times the food has been excellent. Red Pepper Relish on a burger is something I didn't know I needed but I'm so happy I figured it out.

Very good BBQ and burgers! We were passing through on 40 and stopped by. It was easy to get to and quick service! It's probably good for my health that we don't live closer, but we'll be back when we pass through again.

Really good food and fast! I usually get the recommended plate at my first time (if they like it, must be good). I had the brisket plate with cole slaw, sweet potato fries, and fried okra. The brisket was a bit fatty, but overall everything was delicious! I'll be back to tackle the dirty mac&cheese! Service was great too!!

Been eating here since they opened and it is one of the best places in Clemmons. Very low prices for some of the best tasting, quality food in the area. I recommend the dirty mac and brisket, also when they got them the ribs are off the chain.

Wow! This place is out of the way a bit but so worth it! We got the hot smoked chicken sandwich and ribs. One of the best sandwiches I have ever had. The ribs were tender and fall off the bone. The big stand out were the green beans we ordered. I could of water 2 orders of it. Highly recommend!

More people need to find this place, low key, mostly take out, as the name says, no inside dining, but there are a few tables outside you eat at. That's what I chose, covered too, so the rain kept coming and it was nice and dry at the table.

Shrimp Po boy was delicious, and no shortage of shrimp either i was close to 18 or 20 pcs for the whole roll, pulled high, crispy fried to perfection and a fabulous bang bang sauce to pour over every bite with lettuce and tomato to compliment. It was magnificent!

Pasta salad was great, all sides, sauces and most everything is made in house too. Makes it so much more worth while to go over here over the fast food usually. Looking forward to trying one of their burgers.

I got to meet the owner Joe and he is awesome to chat with and takes great pride making sure you're happy. All staff are very friendly, this is an all around DEFINITE YES and great place for lunch or dinner to go, or some low key outside dining.
