First time dealing with Douglas and it was amazing! I was referred to them because the other guys couldn’t figure out the issue. They were able to diagnose and resolve the electrical issue quickly. Communication was wonderful, and the price was beyond fair. I would recommend them to anyone. Great local business that I will definitely return to.

I hit a deer and needed a new radiator. The next 2 days I needed a battery. The guys in the shop did an AMAZING job. They let me know ahead of time what it is that I needed. I understand the diagnostic fee. They have to actually see what it is that is the REAL problem. They made sure that I did NOT need anything else, they made me feel welcome and were straight to the point. If you want a group of HONEST and up front people. Go see them at Douglas Auto Care. They give you the TRUTH up front and will give you the information to make a educated decision. No sly stupid stuff. Just HONEST and upfront. I will continue my auto care with them. If you were smart. You would too. Be prepared to make an educated decision if something is wrong... They give YOU the option if you want them to do the work or not. They DO want you to be NCDOT safe and just because I don't like the cost of it... that is the joy of having a car... don't blame the mechanics if you only do what you have to … to get by. Be an adult and accept responsibilities people for your own wear and tear on a car. It costs to have a car.... PLAN ON IT. Nobody does work for free anymore...and those who do, will NOT be working on my car. Love the guys there. Trust in them.... they WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU!!!

Douglas did a fantastic job with my 85 Bronco. They went above and beyond to provide the best care for my vehicle. It’s hard to find folks that will pay special and particular attention to older vehicles, and these guys did it right. Attention to detail was top notch. Glen treated my vehicle just as if it was his own. I would highly recommend them to anyone I know.

I came to Douglas out of this morning because my battery keep going dead and I kept having to jump it off so I guess down here the man said my battery's phone and I say no way I keep jumping it off and Mario he was very helpful he said maybe it's just a short so he tightened it up and I'm very grateful for Mario this morning and Douglas battery

I don't understand all these negative comments about this business. Jim Douglass has always treated me fair and provided a quick response to our company's needs. Jim knows what he is doing and does it with ease for me. I highly recommend this business. (We have been buying from Jim for close to 10 ten years)

My wife and brought both our cars to Douglas for the last few years, mostly for minor repairs and services. They've always treated us well while we lived in Winston.

Great, honest affordable service. Responded in minutes to give us a jump start and then sold us a battery at a better price than anyone else. Highly recommended!

Had my radio go out in my car and Jim & Katy took my car right in (even though they were super busy). The mechanic figured out that I had a blown fuse and replaced it in 20 minutes. For small fee, I was back on the road with my radio working!

They have helped me so much. They are very nice and caring people. They make sure they make things right. Thank you guys for everything

Went by there to get them to check out my electrical system because my battery had been running low. Super nice gentleman hooked up diagnostics to my battery and gave a good explanation of my options and how they could do a more in-depth analysis.
Didn't try to "sell" me more repairs that I didn't need. Honest and dependable. I'll be giving them more business.

We've been going to Douglas Autocare (formerly Douglas Battery) for years. We have always had a pleasant, professional experience. The mechanic work is solid. Diagnosis and repairs seem to be correct every time. I've never felt that I paid too much for the work completed. Although I don't like car repairs, we always know we will be taken care of by the staff and by Mr. Douglas.

I really appreciate the professionalism and efficiency when I come here. I have opted to come to them for an air filter change and car inspection in the last month and each time I have left very pleased with the service I received. Little to no wait wait during the weekdays when I have stopped by also! Thank you!

Very helpful staff here. They are electrical experts and help diagnose my fuse and A/C problems in my car when the other auto shops did not. They are fair on prices and pretty quick too. They do have a key drop off for off hours service. Beware they are not open on the weekend.

If you are having some electrical issues, give these folks a call! They really do a great job of keeping you informed and laying out your options. They were very pleasant to work with and I definitely recommend Douglas Auto!

Jim Douglas knows great customer service will keep a customer loyal. I happen to have a Douglas auto battery with a weak to almost no cranking and Jim addressed it perfectly. If an auto battery loses it's cranking ability, it may also cause the Check Engine Light on older model Euro cars to come on with some odd P-code #s. The battery was re-charged and those CEL codes cleared! Douglas is long-time, Winston business offering great batteries. Thanks Jim.

Mr. Douglas personally went out of his way to help me and my kids that became stranded due to a flat tire. He was very helpful and very nice. He went above and beyond to help us and we are so grateful
