Salt Lake Marriott Downtown at City Creek

I recently stayed at the Salt Lake Marriott Downtown at City Creek during my visit for the Wits Travel Summit, and overall, it was a wonderful experience. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating, and the amenities were top notch.

One of the highlights of my stay was the beautiful views of the mountains from my room. The room itself was spacious and well appointed, with a comfortable bed and a huge wall mirror that I appreciated. The hotel also offered room service, which was convenient after a long day of meetings.

Another great feature of the hotel was its location. It was within walking distance to City Creek Mall, where I enjoyed exploring during my free time. The hotel also offered easy access to local walking tours and nearby scooter bikes, which made it easy to explore the area.

The only downside of my stay was the outdoors noise at night. I understand that this is not something the hotel can always control, and overall, it did not detract too much from my stay.

As a travel advisor , I would highly recommend the Marriott Utah to anyone visiting the area. The hotel offers excellent amenities, a convenient location, and friendly staff, making it a great choice for both business and leisure travelers.

First time staying down town salt lake and so far it’s great! It’s like down town LA without the dirtiness or minorities soiling on the sidewalks and bums roaming around. This Marriott property was a situated in a great location with lots of restaurants and malls within walking distance. Also, Josh king was great in checking me in. My reservation had me for a queen however, I do not fit in queens ( I’m not fat btw) and Josh switched me over to a corner king bed room with more space Thank God. The hotel also seems very well maintained and clean.

The guy at the front desk was awesome! Very helpful! Rooms were clean and were cozy feeling the shower had glass covering only half the shoqer area so it was a little drafty during my shower and the floor was soaked from the spray which could not be helped with no cover! Parking underground was plus no worries of my car being broken into a little small and creepy a bit clausterphobic but when we were leaving the gate would not allow us to leave without paying the 25 or 30 $ parking fee which was told to us to throw our ticket away the night before cuz it was charged already on our charge card with our room but made us pay again with our csrd before it let us out of the garage so my brother and i both were charged double to park like 65 or 70 gor him and same for me on top ov the room vost of almost 400 a night ! On top of that, they do offer breakfast and dinner in their restaurant, but it was not included with the room

I had an exceptional stay at the Marriott Hotel! The staff was incredibly welcoming, the room was spacious and well-maintained, and the amenities exceeded my expectations. The attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction truly made my experience memorable. The location was perfect. Has Starbucks in the lobby and its right by the mall. I highly recommend Marriott for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Great stay for the holidays. We were happily welcomed by Tele for our check in with many great recommendations for SLC, when items were requested service was immediate. The condition of the room and utilities were above average. With a great location on the city many places were walking distance with ease. Price of the room was more than appropriate.

In SLC on business, company put me up at this amazing hotel and I say this because the SERVICE is unmatched at any place I've ever visited. The first encounter was with TELE at the front desk. I had a pretty rough travel day with plane malfunctions and flight delays, I was dirty and sad! She went out of her way to make my whole day better, which in turn made my entire trip amazing seeing her again throughout it, she gave a personal and memorable level of service, friendliness, and professionalism. She's not only an amazing employee in doing her job, but her kindness is genuine and I can see she's probably that amazing outside of work too! In addition, MARIA in the Concierge Room provided top notch service, so sweet, so accommodating, food was amazing, she treated me like I was a VIP holding doors and helping bring items to me without me even asking. 😍 Just a WOW experiece! I can't wait to come back in August and see their faces again! I truly hope they're both here so when I'm away from, I can feel like I'm at home still seeing Tele and Maria! ♥

Comfortable and safe place to stay for General Conference. Non-English cleaning ladies are friendly. Free ice water and hot apple cider at the lobby.

Everything about this hotel and area is amazing! We travel a lot for work and this is by far one of the best hotels! Sarah was so hospitable and nice. Room was clean and very nice, close to lots of restaurants and shopping!

Very convenient location. Great staff. Loved the donuts served from the wall with apple cider. Nice touch on a cold winter evening!

Beautiful suite, awesome service from the staff, location is perfect...right in the middle of where everything happens! The mall is attached, which makes for easy getting around shopping and eating.

My only gripe...

There was a display of donuts on a broken, beat up white peg board that was staged around the corner from the elevators. The look was tacky, not clean and poor food handling...maybe have the donuts in a cellophane bag individually and NOT on a peg board...steel hooks and all. Especially after COVID 19. Just my opinion.

This hotel has a great location. It is directly across the street from Temple Square for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It was a great venue for a conference, and had excellent catering for events. The only negative is that the room shower drained slowly.

Pretty convenient as far as a conference location goes. Easy access from airport via light rail, decent food options close by, places to escape to within walking distance. Bathroom updates make them a bit LESS functional, but all in all pretty pleased with it.

Had a great stay here with our girls weekend. The staff was helpful whenever I had any questions. Our room was beautiful and felt very clean. Our room was much nicer looking than the pics online. So maybe there are some renovated rooms and some not renovated rooms? If that’s not the case, then they should update their room pics to reflect how beautiful the new rooms are. We would stay here again!

The buyer is our go-to place to eat before the symphony. We always get fantastic service and really enjoy the food.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel 🏨 . Very clean and cozy. The view from the room was amazing. The hotel had a direct elevator to the mall; very convenient. Infused refreshing water was available most of the day. Would highly recommend it to everyone.

This was SUCH a great place to stay during our little staycation to celebrate my son's 18th birthday. The hotel was clean, inviting & calming.

We reserved a queen suite, which was very clean, remodeled, nice smell, comfy beds and spacious enough for 2 parents and 1 young man.

Salt Stone restaurant was an absolute great food experience for dining, which I'll leave another review on their page regarding the matter.

There was a slight mishap with the customer service desk staff during one of the evenings, which was VERY off-putting. I commented about it to the morning desk staff and they did VERY well to help correct the issue and provided us with a complimentary pass to breakfast at Salt Stone the following morning.

We'll definitely visit again! (I could have sworn that I took photos of the view from our room and a couple others inside the hotel, but can't seem to find them. I'll post them if I come across them. The one photo here is my son in the lobby.)

Great hotel. Clean rooms and perfect location. Connected to a mall which makes for easy shopping if you forget something.

This hotel is very clean, close to everything in downtown Salt Lake, parking on site along with a shopping mall, staff is friendly. The room floors are tile, lots of table space, with floor to ceiling windows. Great views from a clean modern room. The only downfall was the shower makes a mess since there is no partition, and the toilet takes multiple flushes to flush. Other than that my family felt very comfortable here, would stay again.

Great downtown location and really nice rooms. Had a blast
