Established in 1921, Merb’s Candies is a staple! It has served the Saint Louis community for three generations as a family-owned and operated business.

Check out the iconic Merb’s sign lighting up South Grand. As you step inside the store, a whiff of rich, decadent aroma almost puts you in a trance. Smells of irresistible melted chocolate, mingling with caramel, vanilla, fruit and nuts… one of everything please.

All the chocolates are created meticulously by hand in two locations. They are made with love and the quality is top notch.

There are so many delights including assorted chocolates, hard candies, bionic apples, chocolate-covered strawberries, and turtles. There's something for everyone!

My favorite time of year!! To me, the Bionic Apple marks the best part of fall. Not only huge in size, but it's super yummy. Just pure deliciousness! 😍

Easter bunnies were a huge hit as always, but Merb’s is always about more than just Easter candy! Chocolate covered strawberries soon! A St. Louis tradition on South Grand!

I have so many amazing memories of my dad taking me here as a kid. A few times a year he would take me and my siblings and let is each pick any one thing in the store. I shared this story with my boyfriend I don't even know how long ago and this Valentine's day he surprised me with an assorted box of chocolates from Merbs. The best part is(because he remembers everything) he knows I LOVE dark chocolate and don't much care for milk chocolate so when he noticed they were mixing in the milk chocolate he asked if they could make it all dark chocolate and they did! Every piece was so delicious and such a great variety of fillings. I'm so glad this place has been able to stick around over all these years.

Merb's is a St. Louis gem! It's one of those places that have been around for generations and continue to help define STL.

We always go on Saturdays and ask for Elise. She is just the kindest soul and extremely helpful! I definitely recommend getting the biontic apple when they are in season, late September to end of October-ish. I am a chocolate lover and Merb's has a ton of it. They are my go-to out of towner gifts. I highly recommend!

The bionic apples are awesome. The employees are very nice and helpful glad to have a place like this in the neighborhood.

Excellent service from Tammy! I was in town visiting my sick mom for Christmas. I came in to grab some of moms favorite candies. Tammy made my experience unforgettable! She was extremely accommodating. Even have suggestions on what I might like to try. Tammy is very personable and made me feel at home. Definitely recommend coming here for the choc. covered strawberries and peanuts, snappers, and this peanut cluster. I will be back for a good time.

The ladies in mercandies are amazit's not much to say about those ladies except for anything they can do in any way they can help you out they will and I just love them all. Best place ever for holidays Valentine's Day secret gifts for your wife. Your girlfriend the kids doesn't matter.

I’m a big fan of all of their treats. We don’t visit often, but every time we do, I always buy the chocolate covered strawberries and they have never disappointed me! Also a big fan of their gummy candies.

Best chocolate candies in Saint Louis. And, that is not an exaggeration!

Went here Saturday the day before Valentine's day. It was crowded but luckily I arrived right as someone was leaving, so I was able to walk right in. I scored some fudge and pecans for my beloved Valentine. The staff was pleasant, which seems to be rare in the city. Keep up the great work and I would highly recommend going here.

Those snappers are top notch!!! The best "Turtles" you'll ever eat. Very rich and creamy caramel, with fresh pecans, and a thick layer of melt in your mouth milk chocolate that's made from the hands of Willy Wonka as he stand at the gates of glory.

Merbs is my personal favorite! I cannot even drive past without feeling nostalgic. This candy store is a Saint Louis staple, and I have been coming here for over 20 years. I remember when my mom and dad would bring me. And you know my dad would always wait in line for those amazing chocolate covered strawberries to gift my mom for Valentine's Day ❤

This place has been in operation over 100 years. The people are so friendly and the chocolate is amazing. Please visit!

About 15 years ago I took some visitors to Merbs, bragging on your
chocolate. Ever since then there is a. box of Merbs assorted chocolates that is sent to Bethesda Maryland in time for a birthday on Feb. 27.
Between mid-America and the East Coast - nothing matches Merbs chocolate!
