I am more than pleased with The Hopper Group! I’m getting results and I’m on only one medication. Their action-oriented cognitive homework has allowed me to be in front of life’s twists and turns. I love the fact that they are always vigilant about alternative resources that might help me more—even if not in their clinic. I’ve been to more than one psychiatrist who hangs on when other treatments would have helped.

I am so glad that I took the time to understand the differences in The Hopper Group’s approach. It is difficult in our culture to examine factors that lead to unproductive thoughts and behaviors. Medications do help me, but previous psychiatrists would have added on additional medications AFTER I relapsed or had a crisis. The cognitive-behavioral work with Jessica and Dr. Hopper has helped me create positive power and a sense of realistic control in my life

I have been on medications for both mood and anxiety in the past. The Hopper Group experience has been superior to any I’ve had before. Time was taken to understand my life and guide me in self-management tactics. Anticipating problems is much better than reacting to them. These insights take time and require follow-up. It’s very much worth the investment to have such positive control in my life.

I recently had an appointment at The Hopper Group. The treatment given as well as the reliability of my interactions with this clinic have always been good. The new, stepwise therapy and assignments have made a big difference in how I deal with the imperfections of life. I am so grateful for this relationship and for my progress!!!

I’ve been a patient here for about a year and a half. The staff is very friendly and informative and I love that they think of ways to help me that are outside the box!

I love this place. Dr Hopper is really nice and he definitely cares about his patients and their well being. Deanne is an amazing help and she has been good to me and takes her time with me at appointments.

They will meet with you in a moments notice. They have taken into consideration my personal life and related that to the therapy.
I love it here and I could not ask for a better doctor.

If you are really sick and need of help DO NOT GO HERE. I recently tried to hurt myself and instead of helping me they made me sign a contract saying that if I didn't get further help they would terminate my care. Well they ended up terminating my care anyways when I needed them most! Even though I went and got a higher level of care. Didn't even bother calling me to tell me they would no longer take care of me. If you think about trying to hurt yourself or kill yourself they will not help you they will just hand you off to someone else. They only want mentally healthy people not those in need of any kind of help!

Finally done with this place, they say you have to return every 3 months to continue being seen, but yet schedule you for 11 weeks (which is not 3 months) instead of 13. And yet you get called to reschedule half of the appointments because someone is on vacation. You're supposed to see the actual doctor once a year, but it's been several years and I keep seeing a rotating door of assistance because they don't seem to stay around for long. If you value your well-being, you'll stay away from here.

Basically pharmaceutical pill pushers with little empathy. I was referred to the Hopper Group by my therapist for anxiety treatment some years back. The Hopper Group gave me prescription after prescription (that I had to spend my entire paychecks on) trying find a concoction that worked. I lost count of how many different pills I was shuffled through. After they didn't find one, they started me on antipsychotics, for anxiety! And for anyone that knows how those meds work, you know it was more harmful than helpful. After complaining about suicidal thoughts (not suicidal by the way) caused by the medication and I asked to be removed from said medication. The Hopper Group then threatened me with institutionalization (I'm seeing them for anxiety, I remind you) so that they can give me more medication that I didn't want. Threats that my parents were witness to and appauled by. After that I asked to be released as a patient to which I was told that even if doing so Dr. Hopper was still my doctor for the next 30 days and I was "his to do with what he wanted." I was forced to move back in with my parents and call Hopper to check-in as part of some pseudo-suicide watch (again, I wasn't suicidal.) A situation caused by the meds they prescribed to me for a disorder that I didn't have. It was obvious they were more concerned in covering their practice from a lawsuit than the well being of their patients. I went almost weekly for 2 years and they didn't know my name.

I was referred to the Hopper Group by my PCP. I filled out the application they require and waited a week for a call back even though it says 1-2 business days. They never reached out to me so I called today to set an appointment. I was told I didn’t meet the requirements. Which makes zero sense. I was diagnosed as a child but my mother never followed through and my own doctor told me I needed to look into it. They should have at least gave me a detailed reason or asked me follow up questions.

Definitely the most incompetent group of medical professionals that I've dealt with. I'm not even sure professionals is the correct terminology for this outfit. It would be beneficial to seek out another provider if you need mental assistance. We never were even able to land an appointment, and I'm really glad that we couldn't in the end. If the Dr's office you are contacting can't even answer two basic questions: price and appointment time, it's probably not prudent to rely on them for medical advice. If it was possible to give them zero stars, I would.

Turned down my "application" for an appointment for reasons unknown which contributed greatly towards all the mental stress i'm facing. My grandmother also applied here and was turned down as well, due to medications she was currently taking.

If you need psychiatric care, I suggest seeking other Doctors that are actually willing to hear you out, and at the very least attempt to understand what you're going through.

My PCP recommended this place to me. Upon finishing the first time visit questionnaire the site said that I would be contacted within a few days. I was never contacted. After a week went by I called them and they told me they would get back with me once they get things sorted out. Long story short they finally got back to me 2 weeks later and say “we cannot treat you”. Well my god that would have been good to know 2 weeks ago. Isn’t that what the assessment is for? TERRIBLE!!

I tried to make an appointment here, and everything was going smoothly, they took my insurance information, I told them the reason for my visit, which included borderline personality disorder, and then they asked if I had seen a psychiatrist before. I proceeded to tell them I had seen a few, and told them the reason I was switching to a new psychiatrist. The woman I was talking to was completely and totally unhelpful. She said 'normally we don't take new patients who already are seeing psychiatrists.' The problem is, I WASNT seeing a psychiatrist. I had JUST told her the reason I'd left my previous psychiatrist. She didn't even try to work with me. Completely unprofessional and rude and discriminatory. Obviously I dodged a bullet here.

Do not attempt to make a new patient appointment with this group unless you are not in need of any psychiatric help or medication management. If you really are sick they don't want to work with you. They appear to not want business and require patients be very stable and not really in need of help. The office staff is rude and misleading when you call and ask simple questions. Seek medication management elsewhere.
