Clean, Decently priced, friendly service and comforting food. What more do you need? The sweet tea leaves a little to be desired as it taste like half and half, other then that it was quite enjoyable. I highly recommend the N'Awlins Catfish, with their incredibly delicious Peach Cobbler.

If you have eaten Black-eyed Pea in the past, this location won't disappoint you. Their chicken fried chicken meal taste how I remembered.

The restaurant is great for group dinner. Even though they don't take reservation, they were able to easily accommodate our party of 12. Our server Stuart was awesome and the food came out fast.

Prices were great. Average meal per person with tax and tip came out was $16.

Will definitely visit again when I am in the area.

The last Black-eyed Pea in Texas. Food was as good as I remember. I had Mom's meatloaf with whipped sweet potatoes and candied pecans, plus grilled asparagus. The wife had the Texas size veggie plate (6 vegetables). The server, Mekhail, was excellent. Too bad we were stuffed and couldn't try the Carrot Cake Eruption.

We love this place - we frequent the Tuesday kids eat free. Food is always hot, fresh, and tasty. Just good home cooking. DONNA is absolutely amazing - probably the most friendly server we have ever had, anywhere. She alone keeps us coming back every week. Thank you!

Wow the food was excellent, perfect salad with all the stuff I wanted and the pork chops grilled and fried were on spot, and don't forget the cornbread! Service was great , it was a nice experience at a place I had not been to in years, I definitely will return!

Blast from my past. I recently heard there was one remaining Black-eyed Pea. I had the Great American Sampler, and it was just like I remembered. Chicken strip, cheese sticks and potato skins were all good. I'll be back for sure.

I've had great service from the two servers we have had. We have been 4 or 5 times in the last 6 months. All good experiences. We didn't want to wait on New Years Day, so we went elsewhere, but we always enjoy the food, and the service is top-notch. Watch the gravy... it can be a little salty. Get it on the side to be safe. We'll see y'all next week.

Wife had the SW chicken casserole and I had the Friday special with was fried whitefish. I eat alot and you got two pieces each 4x5" and about an inch thick.

The food was fresh, hot, plentiful, and delicious 😋.

During these times of inflation, my son and I were surprised by the meal prices - two full meals (2 entrees with four veggies and cornbread / yeast rolls) under $30. I do not care where you live in the Dallas / Fort Worth areas, it is worth the drive.

Black-eyed Pea is a classic and nostalgic restaurant. Our waiter Archie was on top of everything and was super friendly. My wife and I throughly enjoyed this dining experience. I had the New Orleans Catfish and she had the Fried Catfish. Both were amazing and they have the best tarter sauce. Our appetizer was the Fried Green Tomatos and they were very yummy as well. This location is the Only one in Texas. Located in Arlington about 20 minutes away from the Dallas Cowboys stadium.

Stopped by for a quick lunch and the chicken fried steak was really good, so was the squash casserole and the green beans! Started with a cup of Broccoli Cheese soup, fantastic! Service was great! Had been a long time since I had been to a Black Eyed Pea restaurant, I won’t wait so long again!

Stopped in for lunch today. This place is VERY impressive! Our server Archi was OUTSTANDING!!. Food was delicious!!! Can't wait to make this place our regular. We recommend the chicken fried chicken!

My family and I went after church. We were seated almost immediately. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak. It was cooked just right. My family loved their meals as well.

Awesome appetizers. The food was hot and fresh!! A great home cooked meal in a restaurant. The service was on point. DONNA AND ARCHIE ARE THE BEST. The rolls and the cornbread are a reason to return all by itself, Lol. Was worth the drive from Fort Worth!

This dinner was 12 years in the makings. Oh it was so worth it. We made total pigs if ourselves, ordered a little of everything, and the memories just flooded back. The food was exactly what I remembered and delicious. Staff was so gracious considering we walked in 1 hour before closing and never rushed us. We are fans for life and will be back for sure.

I eat there twice a week. I love their pot roast. Service is always perfect.

We have lunch at BEP weekly. Stuart is a fantastic server. He remembers our drink orders and is always smiling. The French fries are fantastic. Shout out to Jenn who is awesome to.

Chicken fried chicken.
Who has not had it. Probably not if you have not had from here. Some type of flakey, mouthwatering crust, smothered in oh so flavor filled white gravey.

To their competition, you guys better tighten up. They could have cursed me out and would still come back.

They have my personal guarantee, good stamp of approval, and so on. I stake my reputation as a southern gentleman on it, son!😁😁😁

Archie Sharkie is awesome! Super friendly and hilarious and a great server! The food was all really great! Possibly the best chicken fried steak I’ve ever had. The fried okra was so fresh and not slimy inside! Even basics like steamed broccoli was really good and the onion rings were perfectly done. No roaches, no weird smells, no ignoring servers, like in the 1 star reviews, just amazing down home cooking with fabulous service. It’s been years since we went to a BEP but I guarantee we’ll be back soon!
