Drove all the way from Florida to let the kids experience the deliciousness that is Lamar's. Best chicken we've had in a long time!! 10/10 definitely recommend!!!!!

We ordered the pressure cooked chicken dinner and a side salad. Both were generous portions! The chicken was tender and juicy. The salad included tomatoes, peppers, broccoli, onions, cheese, and bits of bacon. We would definitely go back!

Jamars is a staple of Fort Dodge, IA. It's been around forever and there's a reason for that. Their chicken is broasted I believe. Either way it's amazeballs. Staff are super friendly. They have spud-os, fried cauliflower, mushrooms and cheese balls that you can buy in a pound. Just amazing try it.

Everyone here is very friendly. But it's a very busy place. I love the fact that they bring the food to your table. We had the tenderloins and the french fries. The large french fry was enough to feed six of us.

Best drive thru in town! By far one of my favorite places to eat. Always has great service and even better food!

Its one of kind. Never disappointed with the food an old style restaurant atmosphere. Highly recommended if your going thru fort dodge.

Enjoyed a fantastic lunch here as we are motorcycling from PA to Mt. Rushmore. Found it on Google Maps and it was PERFECT...tasty chicken, baked beans and cold slaw at a great price. Very friendly staff made us feel welcome and at home. Thumbs up for Ja-Mar.

It was very good food. It was pretty busy when I went. It was clean and very comfort atmosphere. We had a great time.

Food is pretty good, been going since i was a young buck so my rating could be more personal. Has plenty of seating and if looking for a quiet atmosphere this is the place to go. During the summer can be pretty busy though because they host events or events will be hosted around them. Overall cant beat a better burger or fried chicken in the area in my opinion.

Got the half chicken dinner with roll and a side of mashed potatoes. Food was served quickly, good sized portions and very tasty. Às good as the colonel's.

Love this lil place great food biscuits and gravy are some of the best I've ever had. Service is awesome the workers are so helpful and considerate 😀 keeps me coming back.

Love this restaurant for breakfast, eggs made perfect, hashbrowns are crispy, just the way I love them. staff is always so friendly and place is clean.

I travel a lot and they have the best chicken. Haven't found a better place yet that compares in the whole state of IOWA. All the workers really do a good job. Its a drive in that looks like it seats 100 people.

Great service and atmosphere. Great food! I had the Spud-Os with the homemade ranch and I was thinking about it for the rest of the day! Delectable.

Absolutely amazing. Brings back so many memories!! The breakfast is amazing. Perkins and Village Inn don't even come close to comparing. 🥰 their supper is amazing, too. I was scared all the cool vehicles and that mini car lot was going to be gone. I'm so happy to see them still displayed!

Delicious pork tender! Haven't had one in years my parents used to go here all the time my mom loved their fried chicken. It's fantastic

Greeted from the moment you walk in the door. No matter what the special I usually get a deluxe tenderloin. Tenderloin special is usually Wednesdays. They also have salads, soup, chicken dinners. So tasty!

Always love the older places. My kids remember seeing the toy cars in the case. Now they are 23, 19, and 16. The cars are still their and the friendly service. Keep up the good work. Hope the business is around for years to come. 👍😁

We happen to be here on a Thursday, so they had a 2 piece chicken dinner with 2 sides and a soft yeast biscuit for $5.99.
Didn't think a breast and wing would be filling enough, I was wrong. Very juicy white meat, potatoes were better than the average and baked beans were some of the best I've had.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!
Just driving through after a delivery in a semi, called it quits for the night after we delivered to the Sears directly behind the gem of a honey hole.
I hope this town starts to thrive again, very cute.
If ever in this little town again, I will be eating Ja-Mar's fried chicken again!!!
