Hy-Vee Grocery Store

I was staying in Fort Dodge for work and stopped in to get a few things. I was pleasantly surprised at the selection of specialty sodas! I had to make a couple of additional trips to stock up on fun sodas for Christmas 🎄 time. I wish all Hy-Vee locations had this much selection. I live in Des Moines, and all the new monster Hy-Vees don't even come close. They have plenty of name brands.
I would 100% recommend stopping in at this location if you enjoy a specialty soda from time to time.

My favorite place to get groceries. Huge selection,great meat Dept. best in town, always friendly and helpful. They offer an in house dietician that is extremely helpful and easy to talk for both adults and children.

This Hyvee is always clean and stocked. They carry a wide range of meat and foliage that are rear to the area and just delicious. The staff is good and helpful enough.

Hy-Vee is one of the things I miss living in the Southeast.
Manny food items are regional. Anderson Erickson's old fashioned cottage cheese is the best in the country hands down.

Always quick to be able to check out, unlike its competitors. Friendly staff and rarely out of anything and carry dang near everything. The Chinese is unreal good!!

Good hot sauce variety, bakèry is fairly rad, biggest selection of special diet and health food in comparison to other local grocery stores. Delis probably the best in class as well.

A friend and I always make a trip into Fort Dodge to have breakfast at HyVee when we camp near by. Food is delicious and worth the drive into town.

Found what l was looking for. The sale price was good and the store looked nice.

The ready made meals are awesome for a single person. Pop em in the micro sand you have a home cooked meal.

Excellent omelettes. Very good prepared foods and bakery. Great store!

I visit this store weekly. Great service great prices friendly staff.

Only one other time have I had a bad experience in HyVee. Tonight made me not want go back for a bit. We were at the deli counter ordering food to go and the young man was a bit overwhelmed (larger order/lot of people) He was getting all our things together the way we asked for them to be packed and his supervisor I guess came over started unpacking everything and showing a different way to do it. I told her he was doing things the way I had asked & she told me that she was showing the proper way. Still changing the way I had asked she finally went back to doing whatever it was she needed to do so we could finish ordering. Once we finally got our order, paid and got home wouldn't you know the one she insisted on repacking had leaked sweet sauce all over the food and made it where 2 out of 5 wasn't able to eat anything in that container. I'm all for teaching moments and the customer isn't always right, but sometimes there is a reason people ask for things a certain way. I'll go back but if that person is working I'll definitely be avoiding her.

Stopped by the Starbucks in HyVee and had the best service and iced coffee ever. I believe the young ladies name was Maddie. I will be back for sure

They have some good deals on some stuff, Walmart is the go to around here for everything though.

Ok place to shop little spendy but has perks and fuel savers

It's a HyVee what can I say. Always clean and well stocked

I'm new to the area. Actually I'm new to Iowa LOL. I never heard of Hy-Vee's they do not have them in Florida as far as I know. But I must say it is one of the most complete and nicest grocery stores I've been in. The meat selection was incredible. The seafood selection was to die for.. no pun intended lol. I bought ahi tuna because I wanted sushi and I had a little trepidation... The gentleman behind the counter assured me that it was sushi grade if there is such a thing. And I must say it was most excellent I've actually bought seven or eight fillets from them since I've been up here. The only negative they seem to be a little bit higher priced in a a lot of stuff but the selection is incredible. Not much of a cake eater or bakery man but the bakery looked absolutely astounding.

Helpful, pleasant employees. Fair prices.
