Tom Thumb Drive In

I haven't been to Tom Thumb in a long time, and as I was making a trip to Fort Dodge I decided to stop and get lunch for me and my wife. This place is a classic small town scratch made diner at its best. We both enjoyed our meals and I'm going to have the other half of my hot turkey sandwich tomorrow for lunch. Excellent service and quality food at a great price...A+ all the way.

Every time I come here, the food is tasty and exactly what I expect. Today, I went for the fried shrimp dinner with two sides. The shrimp were big and perfect cooked with a nice crunch. The corn and mashed potatoes were a solid choice.
This is a great local place for a quick meal.

One of the last places you can still get real homemade food. Fresh pies, pastries, the best hot beef or hot turkey sandwiches. There is nothing that compares!

I love this place - not many of these left. I stop whenever I'm traveling through Fort Dodge, IA. You can get comfort food (like beef commercial plate), burgers, pie. It's connected to a Dairy Queen in this location, so that is available also. Dining area has a small town cafe feel. No Beef Wellington here, but good food at a good price.

Can't beat this place! It's the best. Like stepping back in time. Hope it stays around for years to come!

Old fashioned "diner-like" atmosphere. Friendly service. Had a nice fish sandwich 🙂

Come here every year when I come home for Mom's birthday! She loves the fish sandwich and I love anything on the menu! You guys have carried this fabulous restraint on since I was a little kid!!

Stopped and ordered boasted chicken valu pack. Was fresh and hot tasted great.

This is a 2-in-1 location. Part Tom Thumb restaurant and front part Dairy Queen. DQ always does ice cream treats right. DQ as a whole need to remodel the stores to keep up with the times. But your treats are the best. Friendly staff.

We got try the chicken dinner & for donuts to go & it was all so good!!! Wish we lived closer to them

Broasted chicken and ribs were really good. The sides were not bad either. Rolls are great. All fresh and made to order. Recommend

Food is always good drove from Jefferson just to have breakfast.

This is one of those old-fashioned feel dives that has great food! They have the most amazing french fries and offer them in a very large size so everyone can enjoy them! Their burgers aren't thick burgers, but they are tasty burgers! I am always very happy with my food here. The staff is friendly, it's convenient to get to, DQ is attached for dessert... What else can you ask for?!
