Best Western Starlite Village

This was by far the best hotel we stayed at on our 7000 mile trip. We were given a cottage in the back. The room was very clean, the showers were large and the hot was plenty, continental breakfast was a great spread. The only thing was there were no sheets for the pull-out.

Enjoyed my stay here at best western, front desk greeted me with smiles and were very nice. Rooms were clean and orderly, breakfast was great! Seen a young man outside of my room scooping snow out from sides of rooms and his name was Kody. Won’t forget him since he offered to help me load items into my truck that I was having problems loading.I would stay here and recommend to anyone.

Despite a pricier rate, the lady working at the front desk was excellent! She even got us extra sheets and pillows. The bed was comfortable and the shower was nice and spacious. With our previous stay at a low-quality motel, Best Western made our night incredible. We didn’t get a chance to swim, but the pool looks nice and the parking is nice as well!

Been coming here for years and won't stay anywhere else. The staff here are always friendly from the maid service to front desk and management, they do whatever they can to accommodate your needs. I can always expect a clean room and quietness any time of the day or night. The attached restaurant serves great food and the bar is always a welcoming site for those who want to relax and wind down a little! and finally breakfast....hands down the best breakfast a hotel has to offer. So....Why would I stay anywhere else.

It was a great hotel! I dont know if I would call it the best, that sounds like false advertising, but pretty darn good. Had a nice pool and a very creative room layout. It felt very cozy.

This hotel was clean and comfortable. Every staff member we encountered were friendly and helpful. The room was safe and quiet.

Beautiful facility. Clean, quiet. Think they upgraded our room? Talk about the lap of luxury! Teen granddaughter was WOW, as was I! Most amazing room in entire vacation 🙂. Would definitely come back! As in make this a destination 🤩.

Very clean room, very good service and an excellent breakfast

We loved our stay at Best Western Starlight in Fort Dogde, IA. The hotel is beautiful, nicely decorated, and very clean. They welcomed our two dogs and the $20 pet fee was extremely reasonable. They offered the best breakfast we'd had on our 6 day road trip, with scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, and a good selection of cereals and fruits. We had the best night's sleep here as the bed and pillows were so comfortable. If we pass through this area in the future we will be sure to stay here again! A couple months ago, we had a not so great experience here. HOWEVER the Manage,r Brittany, gave us a 2 night free stay in an upgraded room! It's clean, beautiful and HUGE! Staff was more than nice and super helpful! Thanks Brittany and Staff

Over the years we have stayed at most of the hotels in the Fort Dodge and this Best Western may now be at the top of the list. Better than many Best Western "Plus" motels where we have stayed.

Very well maintained property. Very nice lobby and pool area. Room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Staff were helpful, cheerful, and friendly. Breakfast was good.

Didn't visit the attached bar / restaurant.

This will definitely be our go to place during our next visit to Fort Dodge.

This hotel is an amazing value! Great prices plus we basically had the place to ourselves. Nice big pool with a hot tub and beautiful decor that we could see from our room. The room, including the bathroom seemed fresh and updated. Breakfast was free and plentiful. The attached restaurant had great service and food. Top it all off with an arcade that had the (Ms.) Pac-Man game our son has been dying to play and you can be sure we'll be back.

Recently renovated, the Starlite Village Best Western is my "Go To" Hotel in Fort Dodge. The Starlite can handle almost anything and offer a wide range of amenities. These include Buford's, a terrific place to eat and visit with family, friends, and fellow travelers. The hotel also has a large swimming atrium complete with a hot tub and adjacent exercise room as well as dedicated party rooms.

Speaking of rooms, they have a great selection of clean, functional, and reasonably priced rooms available for both long- and short-term stays. My favorite are the Wood Cabin-inspired Two-Room Suites located in a separate and more secluded row adjacent to the hotel. They offer front door parking and easy access to any part of the hotel campus you may want to enter.

Planning a larger event? They can accommodate groups from 15 to 1,500! I entrusted them with my wedding reception and was completely happy with my interaction with management prior to our big day, and the Staff's cheerful execution of their duties the night of our reception (which came complete with a tornado warning).

Finally, the everyday morning breakfast is an opulent spread compared to what other "pop up" hotels offer. There on a Sunday? Then don't miss their traditional Sunday Buffet in the Main Ballroom. There's a reason they've been serving it weekly for over 30 years!

Although it might appear like I'm being paid to say all this, I'm not. Has everything been perfect? No, but the employees care and have always done everything possibly to meet guest expectations and that's so important. I guess I'm just grateful to have a place where they are happy to see me again when I visit and a place that feels like "home" when I go back to visit Fort Dodge. Give them a try. I hope your experiences there are as great as mine have been.

Great staff and rooms! We had 18 rooms canceled on the spot at a neighboring hotel and this staff bent over backwards to accommodate. The rooms were large and clean!

Two things make a motel stay exceptional. The comfort of the bed, and the service. We were happy with both! Only really needed assistance for check-in and for breakfast and we were not disappointed. Always greeted with smiles and great service!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The on site restaurant was very welcome after driving all day, and the food was excellent. Hot breakfast to start the next leg of our trip was very good. As a whole very clean and well maintained!

Love their prices ad their breakfast. Their pool is perfect for the kids so I don't have to worry too much. The cabins are like a small apt giving me some room away from all the kids that are running around.

Went to starlite for my nephew and his cousins bdays. The room we were in was the log cabin. It was beautiful room with a frig, microwave, two tbs and a king size bed. The bathroom had good size walk in shower. It was very roomy even with 40 extra people in it. Pool was right size my niece could touch the bottom with also a hot tub.

Good people! Good food. Fair price. It's no Ritz Carlton but if you're passing through your kids will love the big indoor pool and patio.

I went here for a wake and funeral. The desk was very professional and accommodating. While the building was far from new, the room was modern and clean. The ribeye steak I had in the restaurant was the best I have had in a long time.
