Hampton Inn & Suites Dothan

In town tending to my mom during a recent hospital stay at Southeast Health. It's an easy drive, about 12-15 min. Parking lots are well lit, as is the lobby. Lobby and rooms are nice and clean & well maintained. I can't say I have any complaints, though this is probably the slowest elevator door I've ever seen, lol. Typical breakfast buffet with limited service hotels, though their "egg white frittata" is nothing more than a frozen egg patty. They offered biscuits and gravy Sunday morning along with their usual offerings of cereal, Muffins, Bagels, and the option to make your own Waffles (others' looked good, but I didn't have any).

Service was nice and simple when I spoke to the desk, but I checked in through the app and used a digital key, so I had limited interaction with their team.

Location is good, there are many restaurants and shopping around, plus it's easily accessible. Good place for families or quick trips in/out of town. The bed was very comfortable, I loved the comforter; it hugged me and kept me very warm.

Overall, it was a good stay. I'd stay here again.

Tony at the Hampton Inn is better than the best. First time ever getting a check in call over the phone the previous night, and Tony was even willing to help me get into the gym when I got to the hotel. Bathroom code? He’s got it. The most helpful hotel concierge, friendly, kind, and absolutely knowledgeable about the town of Dothan. I don’t know why you would stay anywhere else when there’s a hotel with this high level of service. Definitely coming back next time I’m on the road west! Clean rooms, spotless bathrooms, fabulous amenities.

Clean, comfortable, and still feeling new compared to the Memphis Hampton Inn at which our room felt worn and was not clean to Hilton property standards. Dothan Hampton Inn has a beautiful dining/buffet area, whereas the Memphis property had the feel of a budget hotel.

I was a little thrown off by the price of the room, but it's been a while since we vacationed. To be honest, I would've paid it off the shower alone, because that was simply amazing. The guy at the lobby desk was really nice and friendly, especially while explaining to me that I needed to use my room card to get back into the lobby after 11. Breakfast the next morning was perfect. We only stayed one night, but we will definitely be back when we're in town again.

Clean, quiet, comfortable. Close to shopping and restaurants. Good breakfast that was kept fully stocked and cleaned. Will be back on my way to the beach.

I travel a lot and I rarely leave reviews for hotels, inns, airbnb's, etc. because I just don't expect much anymore. The industry kind of tanked during the pandemic and my expectations are always low even for nice places.

Imagine my surprise at a stay with 0 issues, nice amenities, friendly staff, and even good breakfast. Room was clean with a comfy couch and bed, I got a good workout in at their small fitness center, and I had breakfast both days which I almost never do at a hotel. Whatever genius put the hot sauce packets there, you have my thanks.

This Hilton property looks rough on the outside, but the interior was fresh and well maintained. Housekeeping was on the ball. Front desk was manned and attentive, we do appreciate that.

The last 3 yrs has really dealt a blow to the service industry. Sadly Hilton isn’t what it was, but still our go-to for overnight travel.

Stayed here for 5 consecutive nights and was highly satisfied. The room was clean. Air conditioning was THE BEST, microwave, fridge and TV worked flawlessly. The front desk staff was very accommodating. The gym was nice (a little odd that the the thermostat was set at 77) but the equipment worked great which is what’s important. Anytime I needed towels, soaps, coffee for the room etc.. I was able to go get those without issue. Yes there is a grab and go breakfast versus a hot one right now but come on folks, it’s policy.. they are just doing what they’re told by the higher up management. Overall the hotel was beautiful and I would def stay again!

This motel has been recently renovated. Beds very comfortable with the expected amenities. Free breakfast is also excellent. Location is very convenient for travelers using Hwy 231.

I can always count on Hampton Inn! Clean and comfortable rooms. Neutrogena products. Good breakfast. Check out staff were fun and polite...after I said hello? to see if someone was in the back. We had to have a printed receipt for business trip. Thanks guys for a great stay!

My stay at this hotel was perfect!!! I came in after booking through hotels.com, although hotels.com had charged me and it had been fully completed and paid for, as a third party service they didn’t provide those funds to Hampton Inn. Tiffany and Anthony were a pleasure to work with and made this inconvenience extremely easy to fix. They helped me call and cancel my reservation through the third party and get my money back as hotels.com couldn’t provide them with the funds without me having to pay any cancellation fees. Then they booked me my room right then and there, directly through Hampton Inn and modified my room charge to match exactly what I had through a discounted rate although it was not their fault and they were very nice and easy to work with. If I came to Dothan again and needed a place to stay, this would definitely be it!!!

I was not disappointed. Especially since the pandemic and some places you visit you’re not sure if the room is clean or not. The bed slept good the breakfast was good and it wasn’t noisy. I will say I had an excellent nights sleep!

I normally stay at a 4 star or higher but couldn't find one in Dothan. I was extremely happy to find this Hampton Inn very clean. No matter how great or spacious a room may be, if not clean I'm not happy. Not only was my room VERY CLEAN this location had a great staff. My spacious room was just a bonus! Hooyah!

My Family and I traveling from Cape San Blas Florida to St Louis broke down in Dothan Alabama on a Saturday morning.
Kudos to this Hampton Inn for allowing me to check in much earlier than typically allowed, so my Family and our two pets didn’t have to spend hours in a cold truck waiting on repairs.
I unfortunately didn’t catch the name of the Gentleman that checked me in - but I sincerely appreciate that you recognized and acknowledged our situation and made special arrangements for us. Thank you!
