Captain Hooks Fish & Chicken

OMG! Piping hot fried grouper & oysters with Jimmy's Special Sauce. Ummm, it's just so tasty and satisfying. It's what came to the deep South for. Just good eating. I highly recommend it. Our food was superb!

We love fried chicken and on our southern travels stopped by Captain Hooks and was 100% not disappointed with their fried chicken. We ate chicken wings, tenders and sandwiches. All delicious crunchy and super yummy. The lemon pepper spice throughout the fries and chicken was amazing.

Thank you for exceeding our expectations and making the stop worth every minute of travel and gallon of fuel.

I had the wing plate with fires, corn nuggets and the fried cheesecake. Everything was delicious my favorite are the corn nuggets.

I love the food here it's reasonably priced and its delicously fried to perfection. Also their portions are pretty generous, you get way more food from here than you would at Zaxbys or Goldfingers. The service has been good each time I have gone and they stay busy. The only negative is the building isn't in the best shape. But when your food is that good I'll pick it up and enjoy the food at home! Highly recommended if you want chicken tenders, fried chicken, fried shrimp, and etc. Also the chicken and waffles plate! Wonderful!

My friend thought it was a good idea to take me here and I was very satisfied with my experience. The food was really good and I got to watch family feud while I ate. Would highly reccomend this restaurant.

I love eating here. The food is always so good. The employees are always very nice and polite. I recommend eating here and get the deep-fried cheesecake with chocolate!!!

Excellent food and service on every visit. The indoor space could use a little more attentive cleaning though.

It was a pleasant dining experience and the food was good and plenty.

What stands out to me is my friend spilled her drink. They got her a new one. On the way out a gentleman stepped out of the kitchen and asked if the food was good and if we got enough to eat. He asked for a review. I can’t say how highly impressed I am with commitment to customer service and pride of the business it takes to go a step further to engage the customer and ask if they are satisfied. I will keep coming back and happily spend money here.

Liver and gizzard seasoned well

It’s just good fried food for a great price! I always get the 10 shrimp and 6 wings. Their seasoning or lemon pepper gets put on everything. It gets into the bread. So good. If you haven’t ate there you should. Sorry I didn’t take a photo.

This place is where you go for some good fried seafood. It’s clean and the service is good. The location is easy to miss, they’re near a gas station downtown.

First time getting seafood there and it was very good with plenty on the plate.
