I love Tony D's ! They have excellent ice cream, and the flavors are very unique. The staff is super friendly. I love the location, but parking can be an issue during the busy summer.

Very creative and fun flavors of hard ice cream. The soft serve toasted marshmallow is AWESOME (it's not always available, but it's worth the wait).

Wonderfully creative and well thought out flavors bring this little place on a hill to the top of our list of best ice creameries in Southeastern CT. Their ice creams are made on-site and that makes a difference! You won't find hints of mega-batch, artificially flavored generics here. The quality is high, the flavors are inventive and delicious and the memories last forever. You have lots of options in the area — try them all — or come straight here for the best.

The Silk Road — pistachio, cardamom, and rose water — was to die for. Other hits in our group: Pink Floyd (strawberry), and chocolate. Tony even has peanut butter coated mini cup for the dog.

This place has great soft serve ice cream as well as hard packed ice cream. Their prices are pretty good and they're very close to the beach. In the summertime often there is a line but it moves quickly and there are chairs outside on a grassy lawn next to the parking lot where people enjoy eating their ice cream before they melt. It's a friendly place and great location right on route 156 close to downtown. They do close for a time in the winter but that is to be expected as many places near the beach do close during the winter. I would say that the prices are better than dairy Queen and definitely better than the other ice cream parlor in town. And they are just as good! Enjoy your ice cream and enjoy Niantic!

We LOVE Tony D’s ice cream, one of our favorite ice cream spots in CT. Delicious and unique flavor combos.

(But PLEASE stop running out of waffle cones. It’s summer, it’s busy. Make more, be prepared. Second time in a row we’ve been and you “Just ran out”.)

Not only does this place serve amazing ice cream, but the customer service is absolutely top notch! Convenient parking, convenient hours, a great location in Niantic, and, above all, a wonderful little gem of an ice cream store that Niantic so deserves! Will definitely be returning many times over to this delightful little treat of a store! ❤🙂👍✌🍦🍨

Haven't tried the food but have been here twice now for ice cream. This is not your average run of the mill stuff but quality, small batch craft ice cream. There is not a bazillion flavors but maybe like 10-12 choices. I've had peanut butter which is awesome and my wife has had the rum chatta which is crazy good. Definitely recommend giving the ice cream a try. Can't imagine anyone being disappointed here.

First time here was very impressed of the variety of flavors! A great variety beyond the generic flavors. Service and ice cream were both great. Would definitely recommend to others !

The cones are sometimes soggy but I love the ice cream — employees are nice and don't under scoop

Glad to see they kept it an ice cream place after Frosty Treat. Just had a simple dipped vanilla ice cream cone but it hit the spot and was served nice and tall. Will definitely be returning to try more options. They do serve hot food as well which looked worth a try

Best fish and chips, I am not even a huge fish and chips fan! The cajun fries are SPICY so be prepared! The food amounts are huge! The burgers are some of the best I have had. The rumchata ice cream is heavenly! My family loves it here and I will always recommend!

We went to Tony D's in Niantic for an after dinner ice cream and were delighted by the creaminess and flavor if the ice cream. The hot fudge sundae was huge, and only $3.50. I think it is definitely the best ice cream stand in the area.

This is the place for a complete meal. The menu has a good selection and when you're done with that, the ice cream is very good especially with the homemade toppings. Banana split comes in a boat shaped bowl with your choice of hard or soft ice cream.

Super awesome staff and great, special hard ice cream flavors. Right near the town beaches so you can enjoy a good meal without lugging the cooler full of sandwiches. Definitely worth the stop.

This place replaced Frosty Treat, a really good ice cream place I enjoyed going to as a kid. When Tony D's took over i thought it wasnt going to be as good as frosty treat, if anything it was exactly the same if not better. I have been here a couple times now and their homemade flavors are actually pretty good, if you go to Niantic looking for some ice cream or even food, go to Tony D's.
