this place is really cool! they have a great selection of records, cds, and cassettes, and also a nice little witchy corner as well. i always pick up some incense when i come here!

My favorite store in Niantic! It's a must visit every time I'm in town! Love their wide selection of records, clothing, stickers, and decor. There's too much to list. Great location and wonderful staff, always friendly and helpful!

Love this place for old records and cds. The owner is a really nice woman. It's just a great place to look around and find some fun items.

Decided to stop in and see what they had, we ate in town from Virginia. The store was very nice, organized and with a good selection of clothing. My wife found what she wanted and the prices are very reasonable. If you are looking for that hippie look stop in. The owner and girl who rang us up were very polite. Next time we are in town we will stop again. Thank you.

Tumbleweeds is my favorite store! At least half my wardrobe is from here, and they have the best jewelry and tie dye. Their vinyl selection is insanely impressive, and the staff is so helpful if you have questions. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!

Great selection of records in the back. Unique finds throughout the rest of the store. Gentleman working in the back with the records was very friendly.

Great store! Hands down all around wonderful experience. Front room scented with incense flavors of all kinds, from Niantic t-shirts to hippie funky threads, such a variety to choose from. And the back record room is also where it's at in terms of a balanced cross-section of genres from pop/rock to jazz of mainly used vinyl records. As you travel to the back side of the store chock full of LPs, there are cassettes on the wall and used CD racks of several different genres as well. Great nuggets to be found within this treasure trove LPs, great steals and it's fairly priced too. Staff there are courteous and informative about the clothing to the music. Been a local customer for at least a decade and i keep coming back for more! Tumbleweeds is a family owned shop on Niantic's main street that is a go-to retail institution for anyone who comes to visit Niantic Bay!

I love me some "hippie bags" and they have a great selection. The back half is full of records, definitely recommend checking the shop out.

A must stop for any music lover. The back room is jaw dropping with wall to wall rows of records. A huge selection of CDs and Cassettes are right next to said gold mine. If you can find your way out of there before closing time, there are some awesome clothes and jewelry up front and throughout that is all produced ethically and most locally! Can’t say enough great things about Tumbleweed’s. Been my favorite place in the world since I first walked in the back 10 years ago.

Great record store, hands down one of the best in the area. Records are expertly graded, and very fairly priced. The store does not suffer from the “hipster-service” so prevalent nowadays, just a very dedicated, friendly staff. I am a 40 year record buyer with an embarrassingly extensive collection and I found several things I have been looking for years in there. Of note, the jazz collection is exquisite! It looks like someone with a massive, near-mint jazz collection just dropped off a large pile, and the asking price is incredibly reasonable. Get there before I snatch them all up!

I stop in once a week to see what new cds the owner has picked up. She has always been super nice to me and fair with all the prices on out of print cds.

Great vibe. Thrived during the year's lockdown. Nice collection of vinyl and back catalog CDs. Lots of scarves,hats, dresses, casuals for ladies. Not much for guys. Expanded to 2 locations. Glad to see them again.

Tumbleweeds is an awesome place. I remember this store going back to my youth; 40+ years ago. Present day owner Tara is terrific; highly knowledgeable about every facet of her business. I would recommend visiting Tumbleweeds without reservation!
