Motel 6 Niantic, CT - New London

Only stayed overnight after a long drive. The room, beds, and bathroom were clean. The flooring was a little strange because it wasn’t glued down. Staff was very efficient and friendly. Would stay here again. Note that when I stayed the stairs close to the reception was being replaced so had to use one of the others.

This location was very clean and the rate was reasonable. The front desk clerk and manager was very nice as we dealt with a very stressful situation. Kindness and empathy goes a very long way, thank you for caring.❤

Clean, well-lit rooms. Dog friendly. Price was reasonable.

It’s a Motel 6…. But not your typical Motel 6… 😊. Staff is super friendly and just nice.. Right off the highway with a Starbucks you can walk to. Stayed on a weekend and it was quiet…. Room was clean and seemed newly renovated… safe place to stay when passing through.. 😊

I was pleasantly surprised with my stay last weekend. I wasn't expecting much, as I've had bad experiences with Motel 6 in the past, but the price was amazing so I gave it a shot. The room was very spacious, the floors were very clean, hard floors instead of the usual dingy carpet you find in most motels. All staff that I talked to were courteous and helpful, knowing the area well. The coffee was fresh every morning, and there is also a Starbucks in walking distance of that's your thing. It really was so much nicer than I was planning for and I can't say enough nice things about it.

It was a wonderful stay for 5 days there.
We had a great time. The rooms were comfortable and clean.

This place was great, very clean. No amenities. Laminate wood floor, easy to clean. I already complimented about Sue at the desk during the day was so friendly and helpful. Also, Jessica was helpful. Something wrong with my GPS/phone and she printed out my route for me. She was there

I would definitely go back. Location great for close to rt 95, food and beach.

The rooms were were well kept, very clean. My only complaints were that the water filter on the sink was filthy, I hated the faucet style from which the water from the sink poured out as it caused water to spray everywhere (maybe they’re not the same in every room), and the mattress was sunk in from someone sitting on it.

But the front desk people are kind, quick to respond, and professional. The cleaning staff is even more welcoming and helpful.

Despite a few complaints it’s leaps and bounds better than any other place we stayed in the area. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful desk clerk gave us great recommendation for dinner. And she was just as pleasant the next morning as she had been the night before. My friend and I booked two rooms. We each had a dog with us, and we met another couple of guests with dogs. Every person considerate, picking up after our dogs and giving each other space with dogs on leash. A very pleasant stay. Room clean and refurbished. Will come again for sure.

To whom it may concern;On July 17 my family and I checked for a weekend stay until July 19th. We stayed in room 138. As soon as we arrived we noticed that the room was filthy. By the time I had finished bringing in the bags my wife and daughter had begun to clean the room. We had to disinfectant everything from the tables that had food crumbs on them to the toilet that was dirty as well. The bed sheets were full of hair and the soap on the bathroom counter was opened and used. The faucet drain was broken and the water would not go down and the shower handle had a leak that wet the floor. We had to use our own bed sheets, towels and pillows the whole weekend. Thank God that my wife is always prepared. On Saturday morning we went to the front desk to advise them of the room and all the woman told us was that she would send maintenance to fix the faucet and leak, which they did come, but all they did was remove the drain stopper from the faucet.  She said if we thought the room needed more cleaning that she could supply us with cleaning products and to bring in the bed sheets and towels so that we could get clean ones. During this pandemic I dont think this was safe. I believe that this was very unsanitary and unprofessional. I have been in the hospitality trade for years and never have I encountered service like this. I was very disappointed and the only reason we stayed was because it was convenient due to our situation that weekend. Please take this message into consideration as it will help your business prosper. And please take into consideration that during this pandemic there is no excuse for the rooms to be in the conditions that we found them. They should be spotless and smelling of Lysol.  Also I would look into lining your showers with a plastic liner as well because the cotton curtain just causes more leakage. Like I said great stay very clean rooms . front desk Wanda a real sweet heart but I believe I was way over booked! My total for 2 nights came to over 400 $ dollars.
I've never paid that at motel 6!.
I did because I could not find another pet friendly hotel around. Before or near Narragansett Rd. Island.
But place so very clean and fresh smelling. Hotel very convenient to. Stores, pharmaceys , resturants etc.
Only problem close early after 8- 9 o'clock dead town. Ugh was looking forward to seafood down rd in old lime a mule and half away but nothing open except Illianas Italian restaurant.
OMG Devin was an amazing wsitor and fun just walking distance and short ride.
But again I paid wayyy too much this time 7th time staying. Over 200 a night!

An awesome stay. Front desk staff were kind and helpful. Good location (next to the highway and Starbucks) felt very safe. Room was clean and updated.

The staff at the front desk was extremely friendly. We were treated like celebrities.
The rooms could not have been an any better condition for any amount of money.
The shower was so clean and new I took a shower After check in and the first thing the next morning.
For the money paid it was extremely a bargain. Don't let my comments make you raise the price!

Beautiful rooms. And staff Soo friendly. Beth at the front desk was amazing i love her energy and her vibe, she made me feel so welcomed. And was extremely helpful. The hotel room is very clean the bathroom included. Very cozy and great convenient location. The price exceeds expectations of conditions. Great deal... Suggest booking a stay if your looking for a last minute reservations for a great price with nice quality rooms.

We were looking for a room that handicap capabilities. This room has surpassed anything that we have ever been in. The shower, sink area and toilet were fantastic. My mother and my wife could not get over the size of the bathroom. The accessibility to the room was great. I would like to thank Tabitha, housekeeping for her help and her charming personality. She is a KEEPER!!!

Great place to stay!! I travel for work and stay here often it is right off the highway , there is stop and shop across the street and places to eat. The manager always makes sure I have the best rate at check in. The other day i was there before check i got some sun in the back parking lot while my room was being cleaned. I went in when it was done it was spotless and smelled great. The housekeeping staff does an amazing job.. Bottom dollar for dollar it is a great place to stay in the area.

We enjoyed our stay at Niantic Motel 6 very much! It suited our needs as we were traveling with two small dogs. The grounds around the motel are well kept and expansive. There is plenty of room to walk out fur kids around the building. There is tons of parking and the rooms are clean and quiet.
The office and house keeping staff were friendly, helpful and efficient.
All that for a very affordable price.
This is our second time staying in this location and we would come back or recommend with no hesitation.
It would be a nice bonus to have a kettle or a hair dryer in the room or available to borrow from the office. Next time we will know to bring one.

Rooms were clean and staff was very nice . Susan made us feel comfortable and accommodated us . I would stay there again. Also it was next to stop and shop and Costco’s where I filled my gas tank up .

Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Everything we needed was available. Staff was prompt and efficient when we had a problem with plumbing and needed an extra blanket. The room was spotless and smelled nice. Thank you so much
