The Shack

My grandma has some memory issues and has a hard time ordering/deciding food. The staff is always super patient with her. Even if it takes a few times to come back to our table. I appreciate how understanding and easygoing they make it for us. The service and food are spot on!

Service was fast and food was solid.
They do not have a bar.
Everyone was super nice and attentive! Got The Mess and Kitchen Sink, highly recommend.

It has that quintessential small town diner feel and the breakfasts are exactly what I would expect , just like mom used to make , even the pancakes are great 👍 especially with chocolate chips and whip cream ...

Went for breakfast. I had an egg white sandwich with ham and cheese on an english muffin and it was very good and very hot. The coffee was good. Service took a little long but the food IS worth it. Big portions.

Had a delicious breakfast recently at The Shack! My hubby had to go for The Mess and loved every bite. My 21month old enjoyed his French toast, over all great food, amazing staff and a must try in Née London.

Just as good as the OG Shack.
The staff are great.
My Mother-in-law had a medical emergency and our waitress called 911 for us then kept by us talking with her till the paramedics arrived.
Very caring, felt like Family.

PLEASE I beg for JONATHAN to receive a RAISE. It's hard working minimum wage. He deserves that and way more. This restaurant is LUCKY to have such a hard WORKING man.

Wonderful comfort food dishes of all kinds can be found here! Staff is not only friendly but very attentive. Prices are very reasonable and the portion sizes are large and filling. The whole vibe was one of hospitable invitation. A great diner!

Ordered eggs, hashbrowns, and toast. Forgot to ask if anything had garlic. (It doesn't like me) super kind folks took hasbrowns and made fresh ones w/out garlic. Great people

Drove off the ferry and straight to “The Shack”
Short and sweet one of the best dam breakfasts we’ve had in a long time. Nothing on Long Island compares to this joint. Asked for eggs and home fries the way I like them and out they came burnt too perfection. Every time we are on this side of the pond, we will be sure to stop here!

Was in the area and met up with family member very cute place ,food was awesome, prices were great and dry clean! Will be back again

For my daughter's first experience at the shack, we sat on the island with others, she was stunned that we all sat around in a circle and ate together and talked and shared salt and pepper lol 😂. Staff are amazing, as well as the whole vibe there, from open 2 close.

Great location. They do everything right. If you go alone the counter is excellent to eat at. I've tried 2/3 location and this is my favourite so far

Excellent food, great service. It can get crowded some evenings but the place is large. I eat an omelet and my friend is much more adventurous. Only once have we had a minor issue and go twice a week. Try it out.

Love the atmosphere there. Waitstaff were very kind and helpful and helped me figure out what to have for my first time there.

Food was good and priced reasonable. I do hope to come back again to try more stuff from the menu.

I thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant! I ate breakfast there and the food was DELICIOUS! The staff was friendly, professional and quick. Our waitress triple checked on us to be sure that we were satisfied. If I could give them 10 stars...I would!

If you have never ordered the Kitchen Sink I feel sad for you. ITS AMAZING! All of their food is delicious and full of flavor and comfort.
They may have a diet menu but I have never wanted to look for it.
Service can be iffy depending on wait staff moods but never an issue in Groton!

This crew runs a delicious, tight ship! Well organized and on time or sooner! Pancakes, waffles, eggs, meats, biscuits and sausage gravy so well prepared that you can taste the personal attention that went into making it!
