Blue Moon Café

Such a great experience at this cozy cafe. It was my first time in Boothbay and we were looking for a nice breakfast spot. Myself, my husband and 2 young sons.

The atmosphere was amazing. In a quaint little area with a seaside dock. Nothing better than good breakfast and a view.

The food was awesome. Good options on the menu and the presentation was great. Our food was very good and we were filled.

My family had the buttermilk pancakes while I had the banana and walnut pancakes. The pancakes were crispy on the edges just how I like em. I also opted for a mimosa. I had mine with pineapple juice. It was great.

The waiter and waitress were so attentive, kind and welcoming.

I had the pleasure of meeting Stephanie, one of the owners and she was a DOLL. So friendly and welcoming.

Overall a great experience and will return the next time we venture to Boothbay!

We came last year and came again this year, everything is excellent. The egg white crab omelette is a fan favorite of my wife, the breakfast burrito is in my top 3 anywhere and the corner beef hash is simply to die for, best ever. And all this is factual, not an exaggeration :)

My husband and I really enjoyed our breakfast here. We sat outside by the water and it was great. I got the salmon bagel with locks and my husband got the breakfast burrito with the cappuccino. We both liked our food and coffee and it was just a fun little place to enjoy the morning. Note: I would get here early if you want to sit outside by the water.

We ordered the homemade hash Benedict and blueberry pancakes plus a mimosa and a Bloody Mary. The food was great and the view is awesome.

Super cute restaurant right on the bay. You go up and order and they bring it to you. I recommend going early if you are having breakfast as many of these smaller places get busy fast. Food was excellent. Our party of 4 had mostly omelets and one had Maine blueberry pancakes. Everyone ate everything on their plate. Nothing better than a small business where you can see the cook and know they are passionate about what they do. I have a dairy and gluten allergy and they were extremely accommodating. Highly recommend!

Looking for a simple but quaint waterfront location, with an outdoor deck, to enjoy a delicious, reasonably priced Breakfast or Lunch? This is it! We were immediately greeted with a smile by the owners, and a view of the made to order, extensive menu variety that will satisfy any palate. If you like seafood with a unique flair, I highly recommend the Haddock Reuben, made to perfection and a blend of flavors that truly compliment each other. For those with Gluten and Dairy allergies, no worries, you can enjoy a variety of options as well. A great lunch at reasonable price. Highly recommend a visit. Looking forward to try the breakfast next.

Incredible place for breakfast - great view of the bay. Great classic breakfast food, but the lobster omelette is a standout. Really special spot.

Awesome breakfast place in the harbor. They have a lovely covered outside area where you can dine by the water. There was a little wait to order but not bad. I got the pecan crisp French toast and my husband got an omelette. For drinks we both ordered spiked coffees. Both the meals and the coffee were delicious! The owners were very nice also. Everything was reasonably priced. Would definitely go back.

Such a gem!! Great food and super friendly staff. Indoor and outdoor and harbor view seating. Look forward to it every year. They have something for everyone including kid friendly options. Real maple syrup available for a little extra and totally worth it!

Don't miss this quiet little gem. No, it's not fancy. Things are served in plastic cups and paper plates but you cannot beat the food. The haddock reuben pictured below was super messy, the way I like to eat a sandwich, and packed with flavor! The haddock melted in my mouth. And who would have thought one of my favorite Bloody Mary's would have been at this spot. For Boothbay Harbor this place is super economical. They serve the same classic sandwiches as the other restaurants but 2/3 the price! It's also a good spot if you're getting sick of the classic haddock and lobster rolls which are everywhere. There are plenty of meat and vegetarian options to choose from. Oh... And the view isn't so bad either! We will definitely return next time we're in town.

Wife and I stopped here for a quick breakfast. She got the Fred's eggs and hash and I got the breakfast burrito. Just really good food all around and the check out lady was super nice and the views are baller. Get here early because it gets busy!

The most perfect blueberry pancakes I've ever seen and/or eaten. They were delivered to our outdoor, waterside table and were so inviting I didn't even think to stop and get a photo. For that, I'm sorry. My wife got the two eggs breakfast and was also very pleased. We came in with our 1.5 year old, which I thought was going to be a challenge given the tight quarters, but it was great because they got us a high chair and our son was able to stare at the boats, cars, and dogs all passing by. Great way to kick off our first morning on our first trip to main. Seriously though, the pancakes. I ordered them with the real deal maple syrup and was only given a small container. I was concerned I'd have to fight my way back inside to get more. I don't know if it was the deliciocity of the pancakes or the magic of the maple syrup, but I did not even think about asking for more once I dug in. Get the pancakes, people.

Perfect breakfast spot right on the water. Ice coffee was amazing! Pecan crisped French toast was to die for, get the real syrup not the fake ;) owners very friendly and reasonably priced!

Great little place, delicious breakfast, friendly staff. We arrived 2 minutes before the breakfast cutoff at 11 but they were more than happy to let us choose breakfast. Sat outside and it was delightfully peaceful. Also, excellent coffee.

We love coming to the Blue Moon Cafe every year. The food is amazing and the service is wonderful. The blue berry muffins are a must try!
Kid friendly and they have something for everyone. In door and outdoor seating with some harbor view options that just give breakfast that extra special Maine experience.

Be. Whether local or traveler, there is something for everyone. Food is hot, service comes with a smile, and everything else is up to you. I highly recommend this stop in Boothbay, Maine.

Blue Moon Cafe is the place to go for a great breakfast and warm hospitality. The people there work very hard so please be patient and kind. They deserve it.

You can also get free coffee refills and enjoy two outdoor seating areas.

Ask the owner about her ice skating career. She is awesome.

A simple place with good food and friendly service with tables overlooking the harbor. What more could you want. Eggs and omlettes were good. Oatmeal was nice and creamy with walnuts, raisins, brown sugar and fresh blueberries and strawberries. Good coffee. Really good blueberry muffin.

Every year we come to Boothbay, we look forward to the delicious food and friendly staff that are always a constant! We have never been disappointed in this gem! It’s one of the reasons we return yearly. Very family friendly!
