Butter Run Saloon

Husband and I were looking for some place different to eat dinner last night. Sick of the same old places and I have wanted to eat here for some time, but it isn't just around the corner from our home. Finally made it here and it was a great decision. Cool atmosphere, interesting items are throughout the establishment, friendly service and delicious food. I had the Chicken and Waffles and hubby had the BBQ Corned Beef with french fries. Not only did the food look delicious, but it was delicious! The beer is reasonably priced too. We will be returning to try the burgers next time. Thank you for a great first impression and dining experience. Highly recommend trying this bar/restaurant.

I ordered takeout. I tried the Athens chicken, with rice, and my son got the Rueben sandwich with fries. It was delicious. My coworker brought in the Athens chicken dinner for lunch one day. It looked and smelled good, so I had to try it for myself. I would recommend it to my friends and family. My son loved his meal, also. 😋

First time last night, January 28th. Our server Clarissa was attentive, and timely. She informed me of the 75 cent wings and I ordered a dozen before I sat down. Wings came out hot and perfectly cooked. There was no old, used oil taste at all. Perhaps best wings I've had in a long time. Wore ordered the Pinot Grigio and it was a solid wine. Crisp, clean and cold. I order a tequila which was delicious, but the pour was not generous. I actually ordered two differ in Reposados and both were excellent, if short pours. Their selections of liquor is quite impressive. I ordered the Surf and Turf feature. A small but tasty lobster tail, and an acceptable filet mignon. Only slightly overcooked. I had asked for MR but it was Medium. I consumed without complaint. We also had the Walleye, which was outstanding. Daughter had the Caeser Salad and she said it was great, and not overly dressed. Will certainly be back to check out their sandwich options and more drinks. Great job folks!

Great place to try different bourbons. Bartender was knowledgeable and her recommendations were right on the money. Food was good as well.

We've come here several times. Sometimes for a burger and a whiskey, sometimes for a sandwich and a beer. All lovely and delicious decisions. But today I ate the best chicken and waffles I've ever had. Best chicken and waffles in the Metro Detroit area for sure.

I mean, I'm not any kind of Chicken-N-Waffles-ologist but let me tell you... I've done the math. These were outstanding. Two chicken breasts, perfectly fried, and two of those tasty Belgium waffles with the little sugar crystals in em. Good syrup. Came with soup, too, which was a solid clam chowder.

The waitress said it's only been on the menu for three weeks. I hope it stays for a long, long time.

Fantastic little spot. Never had a bad meal here. If you're looking for comfort food and a smooth drink, then this is the place!

We were looking to watch the 6th game of the 2017 ALCS and it was packed at our favorite watering hole.

We searched & Google Girl took us to this new (to us) Whiskey Bar...for Good Food & watch the game...We had an excellently prepared FRESH fish, lightly battered, cooked to perfection Fish & Chips.
Our waitress JENN actually changed closest TV to Verlander's (ahem...I mean Astros) game.

Here's where it gets WEIRD...there were alot of unaccompanied women there (not that I was interested)...I was there with my wonderful wife...but we both observed that there were at least 2-3 tables of 4-5 women in attendance...with a couple single ladies sprinkled about...that never happened when I still young & single. So, guys if you want to meet an attractive woman who likes Sports, drinks Whiskey and have a great time...this might be your spot. Pics were taken before girls arrived...sorry.

Anyway we had a wonderful time...great food & reasonably priced drinks, friendly people, and about 10 TVs to watch a myriad of sporting events; Pistons, Wings, ALCS that I could see.

Can't wait to go back & try the Burgers...we have been in search of the exceptional burger...found some good ones...maybe an excellent one or two...see my other reviews.

The food is so good here! The beef with barley soup is the best. Shout out to the kitchen staff! Y’all should get a raise!

I've lived near this place for years & never went in. My husband & I heard about their delicious food through word of mouth. Now we're regulars.
Every single thing we've ever eaten at Butter Run is sensational! I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Every appetizer, sandwich & meal tastes like they make it from scratch right then. Drinks are great & the staff is very friendly!

This is the neighborhood bar grill down the street. The chef is amazing. Love the food.

Whiskey. You couldn't tell by the unassuming exterior, but once you pass through the door and take a gander at the bar you'll be greeted by 1007 varieties (according to their website today)! Inviting interior, great food, amazing selection of libations, and topped off with a staff that's always been friendly. Had the eggs Benedict recently and it was awesome. Waiting for the fried oatmeal to come back...

Good food, nice laid-back atmosphere, and a large drink selection. Especially for bourbon lovers. Only complaint I would have is that there are no vodka seltzers. But I can suffice with a flavored vodka and soda.

We a great meal yesterday. The veggie burger was pretty good- very beef-like. The steak fries are thick! I love how the cup of clam chowder came in a coffee mug! Thank you!

Great food. Outstanding service. LOVE THIS FABULOUS SPOT. Taco Tuesdays rock. Try the lobster roll tacos if they are featured.

It's the local go to spot. The food is all good, especially the chicken noodle or barley soups and the high-end corned beef sandwiches or hash.

Weekend breakfast is fab, if you can get a table. I like that you can get actual homemade biscuits and gravy in a half order and that you can literally have your omelets with any topping combo.

The chocolate peanut butter pie is also a must try.

Excellent food and an even better selection of whiskeys. It's like an upscale pub with a knowledgeable staff but with none of the pretentiousness. The ribs are amazing.
