Excellent folks, very friendly, professional and always on time for everything! From the ferry/tour, to the sailing and lobster cruises, it is hands down the best run operation I've ever seen. Hope to see you all in a couple of years and take a fishing tour too!

Definitely worth the money to take in a scenic afternoon cruise on the waters of coastal Maine. You get to see Sea Otters!! Lot's of 'em!! The trip combines a little bit of charm too in the storytelling behind many of the old lighthouses you see along the route of the cruise. A must see for everyone!!

What can I say, a day on the ocean and with family is always a great day, the staff was polite and when we went to squirrel island, we found something that's missed in the everyday world polite, relaxed strolls and some great sights to see even a library that has R&R in mind 100%.

We took two boat trips in one day and they were both lovely trips! We went on the Novelty and Lady Bay. It helped that it was a gorgeous day. Even though we basically saw the same things, the experiences were very different. My favorite was the sailing trip. Our captain was very knowledgeable, as well as two of the other guests. They knew a ton about the area, so that was great! Going back this weekend for another cruise!

Had a great time. The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable of local animal life as well as important structures seen around the bay. Although we barely saw one whale on the whale watching cruise, our tickets were turned into standby tickets that could be used again in this or the following season. We definitely will be making a trip back next season to go again! We did get to see many birds diving in and out of the water and some porpoises.
The cruise ship had 2 levels and on the first level there was food for purchase. The first level also had walls to close you in out of the breeze a little bit and tables to sit at. The second level is fully open, however.
It was a little overcast and a bit windy when we went so I would definitely encourage taking a windbreaker jacket with you!

Nice cruise ti Monhegan Island with this nice crew.

Took the cruise to Monhegan Island for the day. Boat driver gave some interesting facts about boothbay on the trip out. Saw some seals. It was raining a little bit but totally fine ride. Definitely worth considering staying a night in Monhegan if you have the time. Will be back.

Highly recommend vs their competition Nextdoor. They took extra care of us after the competitor left a family of 5 (us) at the doc for being 1 minute late (despite calling ahead). They saw our frustration and went above and beyond to help us and accommodate us!! Thank goodness for this company. They all have genuine souls and compassion!

Our family went fishing for mackerel. We caught some and are cooking them up for dinner tonight. Soren and Hayden were knowledgeable and friendly. We kept some of the fish and Hayden cleaned the for us. Deep sea fishing was on the bucket list for me for a long time and 2 hours was a good taste.Maybe well do a sailboat tour with them tomorrow!

Balmy Day Cruises is the southern most ferry for anyone traveling to beautiful Monhegan Island. The boat ride was pleasant, the crew attentive and friendly. They offered snacks and a coffee bar. Departure and return trips were on time. I will definitely be back to the island and will definitely use the Balmy Day ferry again. PS. On their site, they mention all the places to park which is very informative.

Great Boothbay Harbor Tour! Able to purchase snacks and beverages during the cruise!

We booked the sail boat tour and the cruise (back-to-back days). The sail boat was very good although it started a heavy downpour in the middle of touring so we really didn't get to see too much. Thanks to our quick thinking captain, he provided rain coats for us! The cruise was equally nice and thankfully, there was no rain. We sat on the upper level and thoroughly enjoyed the sights! I would highly recommend both!

Really enjoyed our trip out to Monhegan Island. A great experience for anyone visiting Maine. 3.5 hours on the island was just enough time to get a nice hike in along the coast and enjoy a beer from the Monhegan Brewing Company. The boat ride was comfortable and the staff really friendly. I’d definitely do this again.

So much fun!!! Our Captain was very informative loved learning so much about the history of the islands. Great staff on board and at both docks. Great day on Monhegan Island, highly recommend!!!
