Captain Sawyer's Bed and Breakfast

What a beautiful home in a perfect location! The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet, the bathrobe was magnificent, and the food was delicious! The fact that no matter what time of day it was, there was always fresh baked goods available was a wonderful perk. Would definitely recommend staying here. Jo was so kind and friendly too!

Really cute place. Can walk to everything in town and nice view of the harbor. Breakfast was great! Wife and I did a lot of reading.

Only thing worth noting is parking is tight up a steep hill with large vehicles. So close to the boat launch piers which is also fun. We did a little trip to squirrel island and back.

Staff were all very nice. Would definitely stay again!

This is a beautiful home perfect walking distance to all stores, piers, and restaurants. Emily was very accommodating and did a great job taking care of us during our stay.

Captain Sawyer's B&B is a very quaint historic house with modern amenities. The owner has every room tastefully decorated and has made the effort to make sure there are ceiling fans and window or portable A/C units in every room. There is always coffee and hot water for tea available and nice pastries available before breakfast. Breakfast was nicely done and very robust. The proprietor and staff are so personable and friendly, I really enjoyed chatting with them. Considering it's age, the house was very quiet at night, and I wasn't bothered at all by others guests. The mattresses were pretty firm/hard, and quite uncomfortable for me with arthritic joints, but that's a matter of preference. If you're mobility impaired please be aware that if you're on the second floor, you will walk up a steep set of stairs, and will have to walk down either stairs, or a steep, sloping driveway to get down to town. It is wonderfully located right on the main street of town with the boat tours located almost across the street, and many shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Nice porch overlooking the harbor for your morning coffee.

The inn is absolutely perfect! Jo Moore has done an excellent job reviving the home which once belonged to a sea captain, Captain Sawyer. The rooms are adorned in calming colors and finished with hand picked furnishings. The 1st floor porch is perfect for a cup of coffee or to sit and admire the flourishing front yard garden. In the mood for a cocktail? Just ask Jo and she will craft you a tasty mimosa that you can enjoy on the second floor porch that overlooks the harbor. Breakfast is incredible and every detail is perfectly crafted to make your visit to the inn unforgettable. I highly recommend this excellent bed & breakfast that is a sure show stopper, and a perfect representation of southern hospitality in beautiful Maine!

We enjoyed are stay at Captain Sawyer's! Jo was friendly and inviting, breakfast was delicious every morning, and the location was perfect - right across the street of the water downtown. The room was a little small, but it was comfortable for our short stay.

Beautiful Inn over looking the harbor off the Inns big decks. Close to all the shops in the quiet town. The Inns rooms are beautifully decorated with privet baths. Beds are super soft soft plush big queens. The owner is a very sweet and nice women. I recommend this place in the summer with yourself and your beautiful wife/girlfriend.

What a beautiful place and Fab location! Warm, welcoming proprietor offered us Wild Maine Blueberry Mojito coctails on the porch just after arrival! Clean, well appointed rooms w/ceiling fan and Air Cond. Peaceful and quiet with beautiful scenery. Coffee and still-warm banana crumble muffins were available before
the great breakfast & parking! Thank you for the whole experience Jo & staff!! We recommend very highly!!!

Jo is fantastic and the stay was wonderful.
Location is perfect allowing you to walk the village and enjoy your stay.
It's a bed and breakfast but it feels more like home.
