Bayside Inn

This is the perfect place to stay in Boothbay Harbor. Kathryn and Peter are amazing hosts who are friendly and informative but then give you the space you need to yourself. We stayed on the 3rd floor, which had a lot of steps but worth the climb with the room and view. The room spanned the entire depth of the house giving it enough space for a master on suite, an anti-room for clothes and primping, and a sitting room. There is a door to separate the front from the back that adds more privacy. The sitting area has a trundle day bed for additional sleeping room, a microwave and small refrigerator. The house sits at the end of the harbor and gives the perfect view looking all the way down the harbor that you can't get from any other place in town. The room has a window seat complete with binoculars so you don't miss anything going on. They offer breakfast which is served between 7-9am. So, when you manage to wander down they are ready with your plate which you are welcome to eat in the dining room, outside, or take back to your room. Or if you want just a cup of coffee or juice and sit in the veranda and enjoy the activity on the water.

It is an easy walk to the footbridge that connects to all of the shopping and restaurants. I don't have any stand out recommendations for seafood, as everyone has some to offer and none stood out for me. But if you are looking for something other than seafood, just a short drive up the road is Boothbay House of Pizza. In that same strip center is also a laundromat and across the street a grocery store.

This was a most delightful stay! It was off-season, so many things were closed but this was perfect! Lovely view of the bay, wonderful shower, easy walk to downtown and a truly lovely restaurant. And across the street was Mama D's for breakfast - a definite local hangout with scrumptious food. Highly recommend.

Our stay at the Bayside Inn exceeded our expectations. The views of the harbor from both the room and ocean-front property were spectacular. The room was well appointed and extremely spacious, with lovely local touches. We even had an odd last-minute request and Kathryn went above and beyond to accommodate us. We can't wait to visit again! *We visited during Covid-19; Apart from the contactless check-in and check-out, it was apparent how important cleanliness and sanitation were. The hosts do an excellent job of following safety protocols while providing a personal touch.

I stayed here in October and it was the best bed and breakfast experience I've ever had. The house is a beautiful old Victorian and very comfortable. It feels lived in (because it is) and cozy. The innkeepers greeted me and were very personable and friendly, but promptly left me to my own devices after answering any questions I might have; which was perfect.
My room was very well appointed, extremely comfortable (and a great mattress), and had a wonderful view of the harbor.
A homemade breakfast was served in the morning that blew me away. Breakfast casserole, fruit, bacon, sausage, etc. And one of the inkeepers was even willing to take requests (within reason I'm sure).
I can't recommend this place enough. Boothbay is beautiful, and this is the perfect place to walk and explore it from.

This place is a gem. Comfortable, clean, warm and welcoming and perfectly situated to enjoy everything Boothbay Harbor has to offer. Kathryn was a very gracious and accommodating host and this will now be our "go to" place anytime we are visiting the area, Loved it!!!

This was an absolute gem discovery in Boothbay Harbor, Maine! The rooms are spotless, the kingsize bed very comfortable, and the food delicious. This lovely seaside inn is nestled in the heart of Boothbay Harbor with stunning views. The location is ideal for easily walking about town. The owners are friendly, informative and efficient. Very comfortable and exceptionally clean. We will be back!

Nice old, but clean rooms. Very charming. One had AC and the other connected room had a nice cross breeze from the bay. On the water and within walking distance to colorful shops, sweets, clothes, whale watching charters, and restaurants. We decided to hit the road early, because we had more traveling planned. We didnt try the breakfast.

We love Kathryn and Peter. Wonderful hosts, cooks, and people in general. Stay here. Every detail is thought out and executed beautifully. I drive 6 hours just to come here every year. The best!
