Atlantic Ark Inn

This was our first stay in a B&B. Donna certainly delivered! My wife and I had a splendid time at this historic location. We stayed in Room #2. Donna has upgraded the house just enough to have all the amenities necessary, but to also keep the historic charm that we were looking for. The breakfasts were delicious on the weekend and we also met some other wonderful couples. We had a private entrance and a porch which was beautiful. Convenient walking distance to everything in Boothbay Harbor. Seriously, we were there 5 days and walked literally everywhere - it was awesome. Couldn't recommend this Inn more, great experience.

Small but perfect! Stayed 4 nights with my husband in the one bedroom on the 3rd floor! Even though it was small the room it was perfect for two! The bed was comfortable the room was clean and nicely furnished! It was very quiet and even though the weather was very warm the air conditioning kept it cool! Our host Donna was very nice and helpful! Hope to come back and stay again!!

My wife and I just spent 4 nights at the Atlantic Ark Inn. We went there originally for our honeymoon 22 years ago. This was visit number 8 over the years. It is the most amazing experience to stay there. The bed is super comfortable. The ambiance of the Inn is so relaxing. Donna has hired a new chef, and Jose is incredible. The food was delicious, and the presentation was perfect. All the staff are super friendly and courteous. We can't wait to return.

An unexpected opportunity arose for my husband and I to take our first trip to Maine last summer. Not knowing a lot about places, but wanting to head north out of Portland airport on our way to Winter Harbor and only wanting to drive 1-2 hours that first day, we discovered Atlantic Ark Inn and Boothbay Harbor. With no expectations, we arrived and from the moment we stepped onto the beautiful front porch we were welcomed. Everything about the ambiance, the host/hostess, the room, and the food was perfect. The location is wonderful, everything was spotless clean and our room at the top of the stairs was absolutely charming and spacious. The spa-like bath enticed me to soak and relax before heading out to see the village. I have been remiss in not adding my review earlier but if you have a chance to visit Boothbay you will find it endearing with plenty of good food and shopping. Do not miss a stay at the Atlantic Ark Inn.

We absolutely love the Atlantic Ark Inn in Boothbay!!! We have gone back four times now over the years and it is consistently great every time we go. I feel so at home there the whole place is clean and inviting without being too overdone. Every morning there is a beautiful breakfast served and the staff is warm and friendly, they cannot do enough to make your stay excellent. I highly recommend this place and I will see you there!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Of all the B&B's my wife and I have stayed in this is THE BEST !
Here is why:
1. Clean, looks like it was just remodeled BUT it has looked this good for the 10+ years we have stayed there. Although the stays were not consecutive years, the Inn has been kept up immaculately getting better with every visit!
2. Even if you are a first time guest, you will feel so welcome (it is not like an inn where you feel like you have just walked into someone's private party) and will soon realize the other guests are friendly.... It will feel like "home" to you. You can socialize with others OR keep to yourself. It is, after all, Your Vacation.
3. You can park at the inn and walk across the footbridge into "Downtown Booth Bay Harbor" or you can take the free trolley during the daytime. No need to worry about the lack of parking in town.
4. Sleeping there is GREAT TOO! All rooms have air conditioning but most of the time you'll not need it. The bedding is wonderfully comfortable and there are chairs on the porch and balcony rooms as well as the cottage. Of course, all rooms have nicely appointed chairs, TV (if you want it), and WIFI (if you need it).
5. Disclaimer: I know this might sound like a sales pitch from an owner but be assured I (We, my wife and I) are not. We just love this location so much we gush with recommending it to family, friends, and now the internet community.
6. P.S. we also recommend the Cabbage Island Lobster Bake trip on a privately owned island. The boat to the island runs all summer and it is an experience to remember. Fort William Henry is also a short drive away. You can use Google to find the times and pricing.

We went up to Boothbay for a brief visit and only wish we could've stayed longer. The room was exquisite, the service was excellent and we left feeling refreshed -- just what we wanted! Also, the recommendations as to where to eat or what to do were spot on. Thanks, Donna & Devon!

Very comfortable beds, quiet area, breakfast was delicious. Older, quaint home across the street from the water. Within walking distance from the downtown amenities. Very friendly owner and staff. Some of the rooms have decent views of the water.

Donna, the owner was wonderful and the food served on the weekend was yummy! Rooms are small and nicely appointed but to be expected with a house built in 1700. Would visit again

First time at a bed and breakfast and they set the bar HIGH! Visited Boothbay on my wife and i's honeymoon and couldn't be happier about the nice people at the Atlantic Ark. Thanks again!!

Nice little country store. I had a lobster roll that was wonderful for a twice wonderful price. I nicknamed the place Highway robbery.

Very nice, clean place to stay. Breakfast was great and met some nice folks. The innkeeper was very cordial and hospitable.
