Carriage House Restaurant

I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at The Carriage House this fall and WOW, it was such a great experience. The ambiance is fun and down to earth. Definitely not a stuffy, boring coastal restaurant. This place has plenty of character! If you want a unique venue that will still provide you with a professional, efficient, and friendly experience you can't go wrong with The Carriage House.

Some of the best food I’ve had in Maine. The service and drink’s definitely do not disappoint either! Highly recommend!

This is a hidden gem. This is such a great find. Friendly staff. All foods were prepared to perfection. The protein was nestled in the delicious starch side and covered in a green blanket of arugula. That the varying flavor on my pallet were satisfied. The salmon skin w CRISPY and the ribeye fat ribbon was buttery and umami... the salad was well prepared and the creme Brule was a fine balance of sweet crunch, creamy smooth and fresh fruits. 5 of 5 forks. Cheers!

Wow!!! I’m very rarely left speechless and this place has done just that. Service was outstanding our waiter Ben was very attentive. The food is prepared by the owner himself. The carriage house will not disappoint you, a def must try if you’re in the area.

We all agreed this was our favorite restaurant on our tour of the Northeast (Maine, Massachusetts, and DC). We loved the food! Our waitress was very sweet. We got crab cakes as an appetizer with ribs and steak as the main dishes. All of the food was excellent. The steak was cooked perfectly. The rib meat was falling off the bone. It was perfect!! Thanks, Carriage House, for a wonderful meal!!

The carriage house was the perfect location to celebrate my father-in-laws birthday. The food and drinks were spectacular and the staff was impeccable. I think we just about tried everything on the menu plus some of the specials. This place is definitely one I will be returning to and recommending to others!

It is a very cozy place. The calamaris are REALLY good. Recomend.

Great food and great service! Not the best fish of chips but the scallops, mussels and hanger steak were delicious. Do not miss the blueberry pie. It is amazing. We were here two years ago and had the same great experience.

The team at Carriage House is exceptional! Multiple people checked in with us to see how we were enjoying our time there. The food was also tasteful! Decorations and atmosphere made us feel right at home. In all, this place the is the complete package! Outstanding service, good decor, and delicious food.

The place to go in Boothbay Harbor for superb cuisine in a relaxed and inviting environment. I was most recently here several weeks ago and had the baby back ribs. They were out of this world. Came with a side of cornbread which was also delicious.

The waitstaff was very personable and attentive. They have a boat bar made from a wooden sailing sloop which is also pretty cool.

Amazing local food and nice service; they still seated us even though we were arriving right before their closing and have great oysters, pickle chicken and steak

I had the surf and turf and it was amazing!! It came with Brussel sprouts, potatoes, and lobster for the turf. Everything was smothered in a mushroom sauce. Wow. 10/10. And the service was fantastic! Super friendly staff, timely, and accommodating. Must check out!

Off the beaten path restaurant that has 5 star cuisine. Servers are excellent and a country setting atmosphere! Sarah is the BEST

Food was exceptional. Beyond fresh and plentiful. Our waitress Sara was the best waitress. On point with the whole meal experience. Highly recommend. Relaxing ambiance.

When we walked, we thought it was going to be average pub food. We were wrong. The drinks were perfect. The haddock chowder was excellent. I got fish and chips, wonderful light batter and the the fries were perfectly crisp and tender. My husband had the grilled romaine with hanger steak and loved it. It is quite clear that the chef takes great pride in his work. The service was quite good as well.

Great food and great atmosphere. The upstairs bathroom is really cool. A couple bar type areas and some tables too.

Honestly for the money this was probably the best restaurant out of the 5 or 6 we went to in the area. You can tell the quality of the food is tremendous, no corners are cut, and it's very well prepared. Our server was excellent as well. I heard the fish and chips were really good, and my god did they not disappoint. The breading was beautiful, not oily and armored but light and flaky and the fish was perfect, and the fries were so good, crispy and firm and well seasoned. I've never had better F&C. My wife got the shrimp scampy which was also very well done. Even the cocktails were top notch. They could've charged way more for these meals given their quality... the bang for your buck here is excellent. I wish we could have eaten here several times on our trip but we only made it here at the end.

The carriage house restaurant always impresses. This quintessential slice of Maine Americana is a must experience! Renowned Chef Kelly Farrin has lovingly restored this East Boothbay staple. He makes tasty affordable creations at great prices! Whether it’s brunch, regular service or a special “theme night” creation, the dedication and love that goes into this food can be tasted. Highly recommend!

Had a blast with old friends from Massachusetts...food and service were great! I coulda used a fireplace or wood stove being up from Fort Lauderdale...it was freezing...LOL

Hope to be back up that way next summer...
