Schnable Lake Family Campground

One of the Best campgrounds we’ve been to in a long time. Kathy, the owner is really doing a super job at keeping her campground up to par and improving it. The entire staff there is incredible. We could not thank them enough for making us feel like family. We met some nice friends there. The highlight of the campground for us was what they call “The Back 40” other than the friendly people and beautiful lake, they have golf cart trails through the woods and you never know what your going to see. The staff place things in the woods and it is so wonderful. Quirky sorts of things . It’s fun, and I don’t want to say what but it was the best time we’ve had with our golf cart. Thank you all for making the back 40 a thing!!!!! Plus the trails have beach sand on them and it is so smooth and quiet. We’ve stopped and watched a mother deer and her fawn for over a half an hour. And if you go at night …. Well let’s just say you’ll see things “out of this world “ 😉
Again thank you Kathy and your thoughtful staff as you truly have a gem of a campground. We hope to come back again…..we just loved everyone there. The sites that are on the hill out front are going to be worked on according to Kathy , the owner!

Host with the MOST, Kathy is amazing. So happy to have done business with her. And the lake has breathtaking views. Clean park. This community feels like family.

Loved staying here. We stayed in one of the 3 cabins. The staff and camp locals are very friendly and the cabins and restrooms were very clean! The cabins did not have a bathroom but the restroom and showers are just across the street. The showers have great water pressure and two curtains so that you can shower and get dressed without standing in the shower to do it. It was hard water, so the pics may look a little funny...loved how my hair felt though (if you know, you know). The cabin bed wasn't very comfortable but it was better than a cot or a tent so can't complain too much. Had a fridge, microwave, coffee pot, small table with 2 chairs, an oscillating fan, window ac unit, overhead light, floor lamp, drawers, and a loft with a thick mat. We had to bring our own linens, pillows, and towels. There are 2 nice chairs on porch along with a fire ring, small outdoor grill and picnic table. There is a splash pad for kids (pirate theme), a beach area, playgrounds, swim area, camp store, and a bounce pad? At least I think that's what it was. We didn't have kids with us so didn't use those things but drove past them. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Grate place to camp with family and friends. Lots of great activities. Beautiful lake, splash pad for kids and adults, hay rides. Come join the fun and enjoy the great outdoors. Friendly Owners Scott and Kathy Rex and amazing staff. We love it there and will be there for as long as they will have us. Jenn and I enjoy outtime there.

The environment was excellent and there was many people to talk to. The scenery is beautiful especially the mini beach. It's sort of similar to a house neighborhood. You have everyone you can talk to and you can ride the bikes around the complex and feel the nice breeze. This definitely deserves a 5 Star rating. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The owners are amazing!! Kathy and Scott pour their heart and soul into this place and every year we see even more amazing things happening. The campers have become more like family than friends. We are so lucky to have found this gem and can't wait to make even more memories here. Its our 2nd year and our kids love it! From swimming, fishing, golf cart trails, bon fires, splash pads, poker runs, kids crafts, etc, there is always something fun to do ♡ This has now become our home away from home and the place where we can unwind, relax, and re-group from long, stressful.work.weeks.

Very friendly staff. Felt like home! Very clean. Alot of fun stuff for kids and families to do.

Just recently installed new gates with operators. I haven't really stayed at shnable like camp grounds. But it seems like a really fun place with great staff

Great camping facility. Friendly staff and nice little store. Very clean and quiet setting. Seasonal campers have done a fantastic job of making presentable homes. Especially liked the "Pirate's" site. Always fun to find surprises at camps grounds. Will be back again.

Great family campgrounds! Clean bathrooms & showers,.friendly owners, very kid friendly! Lots of activities during summer vacation, new splash pad ,very clean beach. Convienent small store,that carries everything a camper could need, plus a small ice cream machine!

Many friendly faces, everyone is like family. There are two parks and a splash pad for the children to play at. A nice beach with a floating dock to jump off and swim around. There are bathrooms with showers for campers. A game room and store, hayrides, a "train" ride for younger kids, basketball court, volleyball court, bands, get togethers, Sunday service, and holiday fun. Overall, a wonderful family place. Infact, our family is on our fourth generation at this campground!

Absolutely love this place, Mother and Dad are Permanent summer residents here and they love it there. Plenty of fun things to do for the kids like dances and bingo and arts and crafts for the adults. I totally recommend camping here!

Great place to stay for the summer or visit for a weekend. Has a store/gameroom, splash pad, playground equipment, and beach/lake with roped off shallow end and floating dock out where its deep enough to jump in. Plenty of friendly people all around, many with nightly fires to sit around and enjoy.

Great place to go camping! Very feiendly staff and plenty of things to do for the whole family! The seasonal campers were friendly and the amenities were very well kept. They also hold a church service on sundays.

I have been camping here since I was a baby! Birthday parties, learned how to read and ride a bike! And now it's just an enjoyable to sit back, relax, and make a drink or spend the day on the pontoon.

We are getting a seasonal lot this year with family members. I've been going out there for 11 years sense I've ment my wife. Now we have two beautiful girls they beg us to go all the time. So that's why we are comeing the new family of a great place.

It is a really nice place to just come and hang out with other people that you can call family and have a real fun experience and want to come back every year

Great camping with activities and friendly people. Clean with bounce pad, splash pad, lake for boating and swimming, community store, playground and more.

Great campground. Staff is very friendly and all my neighbors are great. The have lots of events on the weekends. Wiuld highly recommend.
