Spruce Point Inn Resort & Spa

I arrived at this beautiful location to do Hair services for a bridal party on the night of the rehearsal dinner.

This was my first time at the resort . I have to say this is a beautiful place. The staff we're All dressed in uniform. The grounds were impeccable. The place was just a delight. I watched staff cater to clients needs. I was greeted by staff every time I walked by someone. I was completely blown away.

This was an amazing place to stay, the grounds were incredible, the room was beautiful, we stayed in Balsam with a view and balcony. The complimentary boat ride was perfect. We stayed on October 4th 23. We even enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The dinner was good but expensive, I would eat out. The rib eye was so thin, it looked like a Salisbury steak. The food was good, nothing to rave about. The server was pleasant. The Chicken salad was ok. too chopped up not enough green leaf romaine. The room view and the grounds were so clean and there was so much to offer with the amenities. The 45 min boat ride was a great bonus. I think the report fee should be reduced when you reduce your amenities. For example, only one restaurant, one pool, no hot tub unless after 5 and no fire during week. Pool on ocean under construction. Sitting by the ocean and watching the sunset and waking up to the ocean in the AM on the balcony. We would go back just not eat there. I gave 4 because of the value of the food and overpriced. Great location and many shops and places to eat nearby.

My wife and I just spent 3 nights here, and it was great! We highly recommend it. We stayed in the Crow's Nest room in the main building - seriously good views from the balcony. This place has everything you need: good on-site restaurant, fun bar, pool, playground, and a pretty nice fitness center. 10/10 would come here again.

We particularly enjoyed the room with the fireplace on the main floor. It was a really nice place to read and drink some coffee in the morning.

Do note that the building is historic and thus so are the rooms, but that's why we loved it. A lot of reviews talk about the rooms/property needing to be updated, but I completely disagree, and you should adjust your expectations accordingly.

Spruce Point Inn is a dream! My room was super clean and spacious. The food was delicious at every restaurant, not to mention how helpful and friendly the staff were. There are so many activities to do from biking, tennis, hiking, relaxing by the water, taking the trolley to Boothbay, or the complimentary boat ride. I would highly recommend staying here. Great for families or for a couples getaway!

Definitely recommend. My husband and I just spend 3 nights in the Marston Room in the main building. The view was beautiful. As another reviewer pointed out, it is a historic inn and so are the rooms, and that is what we liked about it. Beautiful, clean, unique, historical, not cookie cutter. All the staff were unfailingly kind and helpful from the moment we walked in. Wonderful place.

This place is absolutely beautiful! Our family really enjoyed all the activities that are offered on-site, and our room was extremely clean and cozy! We will definitely be back!

Highly recommend staying here! The staff is fantastic, rooms clean, views perfect and great amenities. Special thanks to chef John for cooking our foraged fiddle heads. We look forward to coming back again.

If a room's finishes are what's most important to you, this is not the place for you. But, if you're looking for grand, old style, the most amazing view, sprawling grounds to walk and play, and a warm, inviting staff, then definitely come here. Our second year here with our dog(s) and we will come back again.

The views are gorgeous! Customer service is fantastic all staff were incredible. Even seemed to really care about the history of the area and really enjoyed being part of our occasion 👏 🙌 👌. Room 11 in evergreen was perfect for us on our honeymoon. Incredible views of the sunset and moon setting over the ocean in the wee morning hours. Highly recommend the recreations here very well maintained and has a nostalgic resort atmosphere. 100% will be coming back thank you for your unparalleled hospitality ❤ make sure captain Richard gives you a complimentary boat tour of the harbor! Room 11 in evergreen building is the best room we stayed for a wedding and everyone else in the party had cabins and other rooms and we all agreed ours was the best. Beautiful view of the ocean. Nice nature trail right outside as well as huge chess board and stores station. Maid was pleasant and left room clean only thing is there's no do not disturb signs for the door handle so we were forced to have room cleaned despite not wanting anyone else entering our room or cleaning it for us.

Great seaside resort, lots of character and charm. Very friendly staff, easy check inn and check out. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived, but we hung out at the bar where there was wine tasting going on. The room was clean and well appointed. The deck from our room at the main inn looked out over the harbor. I'm usually a budget traveller, so the price was a little more than I'm used to, but well worth the quality resort experience.

We got married here in August. The property was in perfect condition and truly impressed even the pickiest of my guests. Many have already booked or are planning to book their next stay here!

The team was great, but especially Kayce. Her attention to service was incredible and level of detail& commitment to seeing it through was next level. We were certainly not the easiest bride & groom, as we wanted to do things that had never been done previously and host and entire weekend of outdoor events. She pushed for us to be able to do all of the things we dreamt of. I later found out all of the ins and outs she pulled off behind the scenes to make our dream weekend come true. She was such an advocate for us and our day! Truly came to love and adore her and since, my whole family considers her a lifelong friend.

The weekend of the event, the entire staff was A+. Throughout the weekend, we heard countless stories from our guests about how over the top the service was. Everyone was friendly and kind.

We will be SPI guests for life!!

We had such a wonderful week here. If you are coming here expecting a Hilton-like resort with plush carpets and room-service, it is not like that. That doesn't mean it isn't a wonderful place to stay. The location is beautiful and the employees are wonderful. The hotel (at least the lodges where we stayed) reminded me of the place from Dirty Dancing.
Every business in the town was clearly understaffed this year, yet we were able to get food from the restaurant every time we needed and didn't have to wait long (some restaurants in town wouldn't even take to-go orders because they were so busy).
They had washers and dryers on-site, which was a big plus for me. There are two pools and a playground, also a game room for kids and adults. It is perfect for families. Any shortcomings you find when you visit this hotel are only because they are understaffed, and in my opinion, it isn't even something you would notice if you weren't looking for it.

Again, we had such a great vacation here. I wanted to write a thorough, honest review because I was nervous when I read the reviews, because they are so mixed. The pricing is right for what you get and the location of the hotel.

Stayed in the Captain's Quarters, which is a great room with a view. The staff were excellent and attentive.

The resort was beautiful and picture perfect waterfront, the staff was friendly and our room was very nice and comfortable. We also enjoyed the restaurant it had great food and service. It was a perfect fall get away.

Great stay with a beautiful property. Very kid friendly with lots of games and activities. Stayed at the Osprey cabin and will be back!

What a spectacular setting! The drive up to this place is absolutely stunning. Directly on the ocean on Boothbay Harbor, it doesn't get much more "Maine Coast" than this. Attending a professional conference here and the facility was great. Staff were all attentive and friendly and the food was delicious. Better than other conference food that I've had. I didn't get to see or use any of the other facilities that they have and don't know what they are even but for a conference center this place was utterly fantastic. Would love to come again.

Always have a nice stay there with the family. We enjoyed the kayaks, swimming in both pools and in the bay! The only thing missing was kid size bikes - couldn't find any this year, but overall it was fun!

What a phenomenal place to get away! rest, relax and recover from your daily routine. We'll definitely come back! The property is beautiful and very whimsical. The staff is delightful from the welcoming front desk, to housekeeping, spa services, shuttle to town. High fives to you all! The restaurant was like everyone in the industry a bit understaffed, however, it did not stop them from being very attentive, apologetic while taking care of all of us a little wait was so worth it as cocktails were delicious and well made and the food was awesome! the North Carolina chef did not dissapoint! showcasing some southern dishes - Love it ya'll, Lastly make sure to make time for the nightly smores.
