Yamada Sushi

We always come back to this Sushi place, love the atmosphere, and of course the quality of the food.

This is one of the best sushi & sashimi place, highly recommends to everyone.

We have been coming here for years. Charlie the owner is always here making delicious sushi. Always fresh and tasty. Definitely come during the week for a more relaxed dining experience.
BYOB, so remember to stop around the corner for your drink of choice.

Super kind and respectful! I have a sesame allergy and they made sure to omit it from my order. Gave me green tea while I waited inside for my order to be ready. Sushi was some of the best I have had in this area. Thank you Yamada Sushi for such a positive experience! Will be back!

I'd been coming here for years then stopped during covid. When I came back recently, the staff remembered me and was very friendly and thankful to see me. That's the kind of service that I prefer over the way too many new, overpriced fancy restaurants in town. It's low key, which I also prefer. The food is very good - my favorite is the mango tango roll.

Since I have moved to Rutherford I have tried many sushi spots; however, this one is my favorite ! There sushi are outstanding ! Highly recommend this place !

Excellent sushi but please stop lying about pick up times on the phone. Told 40 minutes and had to wait 20 in store. Multiple times now it’s not ready and over 10 minute wait.

This place was outstanding! The quality of the food was excellent. The staff was so helpful and knowledgeable. Yes I have to admit I clearly never learned how to use chopsticks. I was so amused when the waitress demonstrated how to use them also gave me a trainer piece to eat my sushi. It is the little gestures that makes this place very welcoming. I will definitely be back!

My family and I drove an hour for takeout after being recommended by multiple friends. We got the sushi/sashimi platter for 3 and were not disappointed! The price was very good, especially considering the high quality of the sushi. Other sushi restaurants in the area serve very thin slices of fish, but Yamada did not disappoint in their portions. The owners were also very sweet. We will 100% be coming back — definitely worth the trip!

Although I've never sat inside this restaurant to eat, I retrieve my food from them about once or twice per month. They have always been nice and helpful with anything that I need. Also, I still notice that their restaurant is quite clean and well organized. The food quality is picture perfect. It never fails to impress me. I almost don't want to eat it, but it's so delicious. So, yes, I highly recommend this place to any sushi lover. It's always fresh and finely served.

ordered from Yamada for a big group yesterday and the food was incredible. sashimi was fresh and they give just the right portion of fish to rice. going to be ordering from Yamada from here on out

Had a small quick dinner here: Sashimi appetizer had 3 pieces of white fish, 3 pieces of tuna, 3 pieces of yellow tail, and 3 pieces of salmon. Salmon avocado roll and hot green tea were great additions. Highly recommend!

Ordered a platter of their sushi and there were all fresh big pieces. Their spring rolls and edamame are really good too. Would recommend

This place was a good time.

We walked in about an hour before closing and one waitress was kind of standoffish like she was mad we came in so late. But the others were very friendly and the sushi chefs seemed chill.

But we brought some beer to drink and they had sushi that was decent. The atmosphere in the place was eccentric. The seating was great and gave space to everyone, the decor was also friendly and fun but it was kind of funny they had a tv that was blasting country music which I could have done without. In hindsight maybe they had it to kick people out lol.
